Deciding

The transfer to the new hospital went smooth and only after the security measures were in place including ensuring Uncle Tek received his treatment, only then Ji Yu brought up the subject of Ken.

"Brother Tek, Mei Xin," said Ji Yu addressing to the two people in front of him.

Since Mei Xin and Uncle Tek became an item, he felt weird addressing Uncle Tek as Uncle, plus Uncle Tek is not very old, so he changed his was addressing to Brother Tek.

"The reason why we wanted to meet the two of you is to inform you two that there is a possibility that Mei Xin is Ken's sister and Mei Xin is my cousin," he explained.

Mei Xin's eyes widened with surprise. No wonder, that rogue insist on speaking with her and she could not deny, they share the same eyes colour. Since, she was a baby she never knew her parents hence, she never once dream of finding her family. The only thing she knew was her mother had already passed away. The letter her mother left her told her about her scum father and the letter did not mention about a brother. Cousin? Cousin to Shen Ji Yu? Since young she had always looked up Shen Ji Yu as a big brother but she never knew they were related. Plus, her heart felt warm knowing she has a good cousin in law.

Thinking about Ken she became agitated, she could feel the animosity and the hatred in his eyes when he stared at Ji Yu. Now, she felt conflicted, her own blood related brother versus her cousin. Once she took the news in, Ji Yu continue with the story of his past, his uncle, how he was poisoned when he was young and how he had taken his uncle's life as a repayment. He also informed that little Ken managed to escape but it was never his parent's intention to hurt Ken. Mei Xin believes in Ji Yu as she knew his personality from the way he ran the orphanage. He is nice to those who showed loyalty and ruthless to enemies who tries to harm him.

Ru Ran held her hands and gave it a squeeze before she said, "These information might be too much for you to take, and I believe, you would want to hear his views as well."

It was an understanding that his view refers to Ken's views.

"If yes, we won't fault you for meeting up with him but of course you have to take precautions when meeting up. It is hard to be in your shoes, me and Ji Yu has decided it is up to you to choose which camp or side you belong to, same goes with Tek gege. Ji Yu will meet up with Ken and see if there is a way to resolve any enmity between them as well as to sound out if there is any hostility. So many years, he has stayed away, there must be a reason for his return," she continued to speak.

Mei Xin and Tek gege was shocked by her words.

"I am indebted to you Tek gege, you have protected my parents and me since you were young giving up your own life and happiness and now that you have found your happiness and now that I have understood what happiness is, there is no way I am going to obstruct it by separating the two of you, if Mei Xin choose to be on Ken's side. So, that is why, whatever is decided by the two of you in the future, we are not going to fault the two of you, we only hope, we don't meet on a bloody path," said Ru Ran.

She and Ji Yu had went over multiple scenarios and will feel lost if the two decided to go over to Ken's side but they do understand the sentiments behind it. After saying things that needed to be said, they left the two lovebirds to discuss.

"Ah Wah, what should I do? If I say I don't even want to know my own brother? Am I heartless?" said Mei Xin unhappily.

He caresses her head without replying causing her to worry, that she looked up to him. Seeing the worry in her eyes, he replied, "I believe in your judgement, let's hear what Ken has to say before deciding, and if you decide that you believe in your brother, I will follow you," he said affirmatively.

He then held her hands and kiss both hands gently, making her blush. His words and actions are proofs that she had made a wise choice in choosing him. He understood her best. She gave him a quick hug unabashed.

She then got onto his bed and placed her head on his shoulder. She now felt she has someone that belongs to her and she to him. She doesn't feel like she needed anything more. This sort of feeling, made her come to her own conclusion. She has decided she will listen what Ken has to say, but if he insist on going against Ji Yu, then she will not choose side, she will go away, somewhere with her beloved. She did not know her thinking were too simple and depends on if the other party allowed her to do as she wished.
