Du Ru Ran became an orphan at the age of 5 years old after a deliberate car accident. She was then taken in by her uncle. Life was truly tragic but being a smart girl, she managed to turn the tides around. She plans to avenge the death of her parents and her little brother who she did not get to meet in this lifetime. At that time, thank her lucky or unlucky star, she met a pair of mother and son, who gave her some warmth in her moment of total darkness.

She thought a dumb cupid made a mistake by accidentally release an arrow and the arrow went straight to a 7 year old boy and now, 20 years later, he is delusional.

"Why can't you leave me alone? I really have no time, no room for another person. I am pretty occupied with getting my revenge. Go and fly away," she said while making the hand gestures of shooing a pesky fly away.

"You really don't need to work hard on my behalf, I am touched that you worry about my well being and feeling. As long as I get to see you, that is all I require. You really don't have to do anything."

Ru Ran felt her head is going to explode, shameless, when did I, how on earth did he manage to lift himself so high that even direct language don't get to his thick skull? Fine, if you don't want to leave, I will walk away.

True to her thoughts she walked away huffing and puffing, fuming at the fly she can't get off.

"Wifey wait up!!!"

"Seriously, what do you see in me?" she asked impatiently. 

Instead of answering her immediately, he spun he around to face him, pushed her to lean against a nearby wall, locked her body with his legs and arm in order to stop her from escaping. His facial expression turn serious, gone the silly demeanor he had put up earlier. 

Her heartbeat increased and her palms started to sweat. She stuttered, "What.. What.. Just what do you plan to do?" 

"I am going to answer your question. Look me in the eyes. I see a beautiful lady, a stubborn one, cold exterior but inside she is kind and afraid to get hurt. She gave me a kiss 20 years ago and gave me the strength to live and from that day onwards, I have given my heart to her."

My reflection in your eyes

It took him a lot of courage to ask looking at his boss current face. However, he needed to ask clearly his boss intentions as to the future he won't be blame.


Ken stared at him icyly to silence him.


"What about it? She made her choice, I warned them, they decided to die.. Hahahaha..


Despite his voice sounded cold there was a tinged of loneliness within. He had always thought his father righteously sacrificed himself in order to escape his fate. After his sister's and Ji Yu's instigation, he had investigated further regarding the past. True, his father had done for the sake of his future, but it was done out of selfishness for his own sake and used him as the means to justify the ends. The truth was, the main branch treated them very well. There was no need for power struggle. Whatever the main branch children has, he had it as well.


He could not understand why suddenly Ji Yu who had always been absent came back and dealt with his father. His father dying words left an impression on him and he took his father words as real and did not bother investigating it, after all which father would lie to his own son and cause his son to suffer a life without any family support. Fortunately, he met a man who took him in and when that old man passed away, he left him with his inheritance. However, the man was a ruthless businessman, vicious and heartless. Hence, Ken learnt to be someone like him.


Ken suddenly thought about the pitiful Du Ai Sha, wasn't she just the same as him?


Uncle Tek and Mei Xin were wrapped in each other embrace and it took them a full ten seconds to realise they were still alive. What the heck? Wasn't the bomb supposed to go off? He let them go? Mei Xin was the first to regain her senses and not long after she started to whack Uncle Tek but of course she did not exert much strength.


"Stupid guy! Who asked you to risk your life? I was so afraid!!!!"


Uncle Tek allowed Mei Xin to vent out all her frustration and then he just grabbed her chin and gave her a kiss. He initiated a kiss for the first time! All her fears and joy and sorrow were all swallowed down. She almost lost her life and all she wanted to do was to enjoy this kiss. This man, truly love her and would sacrifice his life for her. The sweetness she felt she reciprocated back in her kiss.


After the intense and passionate kiss, they finally let go of each other. They then noticed a blinking camera at the corner of the room. Uncle Tek got up, with Mei Xin, they both took a bow to whoever is watching.


Ken who was still watching the screen, turn the screen off, you lead a good life dear sister. If that man ever make you unhappy, I will hunt him down.


Mei Xin knew that Ken had let them off, whatever his purpose or his reasons, she is grateful. He has allowed her to be with the man she loved. Maybe, Ah Wah's action was beyond his expectation but whatever it is, she is just grateful to be given a second chance to live. Looking at the man beside her, she said, "Let's go. Life is short, we should not have any regrets!"


Tonight, she must and will lose her virginity! I must find ways to get him to agree. If Uncle Tek was able to read her thoughts, he might have fainted or have nose bleed.
