The doctors came in and did a quick check and was surprised that Ru Ran had actually emerged out of her locked in syndrome. They checked on the fetus well being as well before leaving the couple alone.

"Yu," Ru Ran held on to his face while she closed in on him. She closed her eyes once their forehead and nose came in contact. She took a few breath in taking in his scent while enjoying the feel of his skin against her.

They stayed that way for some time before Ru Ran urged Ji Yu to get them food to eat, the past weeks, she had been on tube feeding, she misses the taste of food and wanted to eat.

"Ran, the doctor said they need to test your swallowing reflex first before you can eat," he reminded her.

She pouted but she listened to him obediently. "Then, you must eat, who is it that almost fainted just now?"

"I wasn't about to faint, I wanted to hug you," he said sheepishly.

"When you lie, your ears turn red, your eyes shifts," she pointed out to him.

She wanted to say more but her mouth was captured hungrily by him. He refused to release her despite her protest. After getting his fill, he finally release her.

"Ran, I miss your lips. Don't be mad, plus, you tempted me when you were pointing out my flaws," he said with a beeming smile.

She looked at him and gestured him to come closer with her index finger. She then hooked her arms around his neck, "I miss you too. If I am well, can we go home? I miss our home. I miss your cooking, I.. I also miss your warm touch," she said shyly.

The smile on his face deepened and his hands started to wander shamelessly.

"You mean this sort of touch?" his hand gently brush against her nipple. It hardened immediately.

"Yu! Not here!!"

"Then, down there?" he asked playfully.

She instinctively clammed her legs closed, "No!!!"

He let out a big laugh looking at how shy his wife is behaving. Listening to his rhythmic laughter, her body relaxes, she could not help but smile, the hard times is passing, they will preservere till the end. Finally, there is sunshine behind the dark clouds.

"The doctor said, once the three months period has passed, we can engage ourselves in some healthy physical activities together. Even if I want you so badly, I have to control myself because of our baby growing in you. Don't worry Ran, I know my limit. I love you, and I am glad you are fine now," he whispered in her ear.

"Then I'll wait for three months," she lifted her chin up to look at him while smiling coquettishly. She is going to rise up to his challenge.

He kissed her fiercely in response to her provocative smile.

"Yu, I had a dream, I get to choose to a life before my parents had an accident or come back into dead body? I almost choose the former but it was because the love you had for me that I can't abandon you and decided to stay, miraculously I woke up normal, I was afraid of coming back to a locked in state but I was more afraid to lose you, to not able to see you or know you. I love you Shen Ji Yu. In my weak state, I regretted that I chose to find out the truth about my parents instead of living a peaceful life with you. The past I can't change but I do hold the power to change the future. How many people were hurt because I didn't want to let go of the past?" said Ru Ran emotionally.

" Sh, you are not allowed to be sad, our baby would think I am bullying you. Don't think about the past, as you said, it is the past, plus focus on the lives you have saved," he coaxed her.

She buried her head in his chest. She hugged him closer, not wanting to let go for fear, she might just wake up and find that everything is just a dream.

"Rest, you must be tired, later the doctor will come and do some examination, and tomorrow the therapist will start some exercises to get you moving, they are afraid you may suffer from deconditioning...
