No place for you in my heart

"I want more money, I took a lot of risk to go against one of the most powerful man in the continent," said a woman in a low hush voice at one of the back dark alley.

She put on a brave front, in actual fact, she was very afraid, she had an ominous feeling like today is going to be her last day on earth. She calmed herself once more, Darren is somewhere nearby, surely she still has some usefulness. She stared at the man who was all dressed up in a suit, looking calmly at her. His gaze made her shuddered out of fear.

"You didn't even do your job properly, yet you demand more money? My boss wanted Du Ru Ran dead!," sneered the man while raising his hand high up and in a blink of an eye, that hand landed on her pretty face.

The pain was real and unbearable, she let out a loud cry and clutched onto her now swollen cheek."You... Don't come close.. Or I'll...." she stuttered as she backed down a few steps as she saw him approaching her leisurely but with a sinister face.

"You'll what? Scream? Shout? Hurt me? Ha ha ha..." he laughed as if he just heard the funniest joke on earth. He stopped and eyed her before saying seriously, "Aren't you stupid? Why do you think I chose this location? Ha ha ha.. Not only you brought me trouble by not finishing the job and you are a time bomb, you know too much, so, if you are no longer useful, your presence in this world is no longer needed," he enunciated each words clearly as he advanced towards her with a jeer on his face.

His hands then reached out to circle her neck, he tightened them around it and exert his strength little by little as he enjoyed watching her struggled till there is no more life left in her. Once he felt that she had went limp, he released his grip on her neck. The warmth on her body still linger on turning him on. He had a habit of having sex with female victims he just murdered.

He developed this habit when his wife wanted to walk out on him. In his fit of anger he killed her and then had sex with her afterwards, he then caressed her dead body and said softly, "Sorry baby, I had to do this so that you won't leave me." He continued to have sex with his wife's corpse for 3 days before she started to rot. It happened during winter, hence the process of the body rotting was delayed.

It was during that period he discovered a heightened sexual pleasure of him being in control and since then all his female victims would be violated by him post death. He was not aware that many crows were lurking around and had filmed his disgusting behaviour in multiple angle. Despite it being a dark alley with little light exposure, the cameras carried by the crows are state of the art equipments esp use for espionage and filming documentaries.

Once, he is done, he removed all evidence of his deeds, took his phone out and made a phone call. The crows managed to capture the number he dialled. He left the scene and soon after a team of what seems to be of a clean up crew arrived. Darren was amazed by their performance and speed.

The crows flew quietly following their target at a safe distance. Darren satisfied with the outcome of his stake out, when back home for a rest. He arrived home surprised to see Kira waiting outside his home.

"Ren..."

"Kira, leave.. Consider me being nice here," he said.

"I want to talk, can't I come in with you? I've been waiting for so long outside here, at least let me in," she said trying to gain his sympathy.

"I am sorry but Tong Tong doesn't like me having another woman even if she is just a friend in our place when she is not around," said Darren curtly.

"Then, let's talk out here," she said trying her best to compose herself.

"There is nothing else to say, you have made your choice back then, you left and I stayed back, now, I have a great woman and I am not going to let you destroy it. I am not stupid Kira, I know you must be here because of someone's order. I don't want to know the details but let me make this clear, I love my woman and I don't plan on having anyone other than her," he said firmly.

"You.. Ren.. You said you'd wait, you promised and now that I'm back, you don't want anything to do with me," wailed Kira pitifully.

"That year, after telling you not to go, I did go to the airport to see you off as I was about to beg you once more not to go, I heard you said to Renji that even if I work a thousand lifetimes I will never able to satisfy someone with big appetite like you, that was why you chose not to stay. That was why I let you go, and after that day, there is more space in my heart for a person like you." said Darren in a solemn tone.

Not wanting to explain more, he brushed past her, without a glance and entered his condominium and close the door shut, not giving her any opportunity to sneak in. He then called the building security to escort her off and told them never to allow her to come anywhere near the building.

He did not notice a figure staring at him like a hungry predator. Shin Tong, unable to sleep, made her way here to confront him and maybe make up, she didn't expect for the reception to call and inform that someone by the name of Kira request an audience. She told them to let her up but she did purposely let her wait out there like a fool. Shin Tong who was bored decided to explore the place as she did not have a chance to do it yesterday. Incidentally, she discovered the home surveillance control room and out of boredom she decided to spy on Kira. She didn't expect that Darren's home security system to be so good that it included 360 degree angle of video coverage including voice recording.

She witnessed the whole situation earlier and was touched by Darren's straightforward behaviour and he even said he loves her. How come he never mentioned that to her? She scratched her head out of habit when she is perplexed.
