Silverhammers

He swiped the tears from his face and headed for the blacksmith shop. Ragnar was a very quiet and curious child... he was watching everything and enjoyed traveling on Lokens back... He was only two weeks old but he could already hold his head upon his own and see his surroundings... he even had enough strength to crawl on the floor. He was simply no normal Human... Human babies need half a year to a year to develop this far... but most of the Demi-Human babies had superior physical abilities... that is were their animal side kicked in. It was still unknown to Loken were to place Ragnar, was he a Dragon... was he Human... was he Demi-Human... or something else entirely.

When Loken arrived at the blacksmith shop he was shocked... above the front door to the workshop... which was really huge, there were five floors bustling with hammering noises... there was a sign hanging... on that sign stood, the right path is your path, but what really shocked him was the crests that were placed left and right from that sentence. On one crest were two silver daggers crossing each other... it was the crest of the Silverslayerclan... on the other side were two silver Hammers that crossed each other. What would that mean... are these survivors of his clan, "What is the meaning of this?"

He decided to ignore it for now and walked in. As Loken entered the first floor, he saw a lot of shelves displaying weapons crafted by the blacksmith shop... when he walked further into the workshop he saw that there was more than just weapons. Armors and tools, as well as rare Metals, were also displayed... on every item was a sign that stated the price and the name of the blacksmith who crafted or found the item. The quality of the things he saw was good but nothing he could not forge as well or maybe even better. Loken than walked to a shelve further in the back and found a sword made of Blackiron... he inspected it and soon noticed that it was one he made. "Are you interested in buying this sword, young friend?" An old man with long white hair appeared behind Loken... he was very lean and but has a strong build... though he seems to be seventy to eighty years old hís muscles were very defined... there was simply no gram of fat on his body. "No senior, I was wondering if you can offer me a job... I traveled here to start a new life... I am a blacksmith and saw this sword which does not resemble any of the other things here in this shop... that is why I inspected it for a moment."

"You have sharp eyes... this sword was taken from a Beastman at the border to the Lightninggoddomain... It is from made from a Metal called Blackiron and is only found in that domain... I am truly sorry but we do not employ outsiders... we are a Blacksmiths with a long history and only allow or family members to work here." The old man said to him... Loken was thinking deeply if he should ask or not... should he reveal his identity or not... his whole life he disguised himself as someone else... should he continue with this or should he break away from this lifestyle... he was truly happy to have found a hint to his clan... but he was not sure if these blacksmiths would accept him as one of their own or if they were even descendants of his clan... maybe that signboard with the crest of the Silverslayerclan was a coincidence. "What should I do..." He was thinking to himself... The old man was standing their watching Loken and was curious about what that young man in front of him might be thinking about so deeply.

Suddenly Loken's Expression became serious... he then looked the old man into the eyes and asked: " Senior, may I know if you have ever heard of a man named Ragnar?" The old man was taken by surprise by that question and said: "What if I have... and what if I have not??" Loken answered, "I have seen the crest on the signboard at the front door so I guess this place is kind of related to my clan's founder" Loken than took out a badge of his hidden ring and showed it to the old man. The old man was shocked and asked: "Young friend... where are you from?" On that badge was the crest of the Silverslayerclan... but what made the old man more surprised was that he saw Loken taking it out of a ring that was imbued to his clothes... only members of the Silverslayerclan new about this method. "My name is Loken... I escaped from the Lightninggoddomain and am now seeking refuge." Suddenly the old man fell on his knees and bowed to Loken, "Senior, what are you doing? Get up please" The old man stayed down and said: "Master... I am not worthy of standing in front of you." Loken was taken aback... he tried to persuade him in getting back up, but was only able to do so when he said, "Senior, I order you to stand up and guide me to a room where we can talk in private." Only now did the old man get up and did what Loken ordered him... The old man got on his feet and headed to a room in the back of the first floor. He shouted: "Someone prepare some tee and something to eat we have an important guest."

They then sat down and Loken asked: "Senior, please explain to me why you called me master" The old man regained his composure and said: "My name is Grom... I am the current head of the Silverhammerclan... we are a branch clan that derived from the Silverslayerclan. After the battle of Human fall the main clan chose to stay in the Lighninggoddomain and help other Humans were they could... they ordered the branch clan to evacuate and leave for the Stormclouddomain to ensure our survival... so basically every member of the Silverslayerclan that comes from the Lightninggoddomain is a member of the main clan and is superior to us... may I know how the circumstances of the clan inside the Lightninggoddomain are?" Loken's jaw dropped slightly after hearing this... he then shook his head and regained his senses... he looked at Grom and said: "I am sorry, it seems... I am the only survivor... all those years we disguised and hide ourselves... there was no hope left for us so we decided to stay hidden and survive... most of the ancient teachings are still in my possession but I have no one to teach me."
