She looked at the world curiously, wondering about how it worked and what weird things she could do. Melody attempted to see if there were any obvious distances. She was conscious in her dream. How surprising was that!
Melody's began to wonder if she could actually do things, and if she'd sleep totally fine. So, when she was in her Astral Vision, she'd be able to do work. It would help, certainly. At the moment, she needed time. Well not right now, but she knew that she'd eventually be pretty busy.
Melody bit her lip and attempted to pick up a pen. Sadly, as she guessed, the her body floated straight through the objects. Melody felt herself stirring, and in a flash, she was back in her normal body. A physical one.
She wondered if she could make herself bring things into this other dimension somehow. She remembered that her novels all had a space where their people could put things in. She struggled to remind herself of a name… was it spiritual space?
Either way, was there any way that she could create a spiritual space? Melody knew that she had her weird powers, but her whole body felt extremely tired… like it was drained of something. Melody knew that her tiredness had nothing to do with sleep.
Perhaps mana in this world existed differently. It would make her tired, but to stop this feeling, she'd perhaps have to drink something? Melody wasn't extremely sure, but she suspected that her queries would be answered at the academy. She stood up and walked over to her bedroom. She was planning to sleep, as she suspected that the next day would be extremely exhausting.
She quickly fell asleep, but luckily this time she did not enter the Astral Vision. What was she supposed to do for the next seven hours in that zone? Sit there?

Melody woke up to the artificial sounds of the world. What a surprise. She walked over to the kitchen and continued her routine which she had been doing in her old world for a long time. She prepared breakfast, some simple cereal and milk.
After breakfast, she brush her teeth and packed her bags. What would she need at this weird school learning magic? Confused, she packed two exercise books and a couple of pens. She figured that if she really needed it, their school would most likely have a canteen to buy food.
For that, and any money there was no need to carry cash around, if she had her phone which was linked to the credit card which her 'benefactors' had prepared for her. She looked in her bag, looked around and figured that she was all good to go.
Melody stood up and walked out of the house, bag in hand. Until she realised that she had no idea where to go. To her surprise, a bright light began to shine in the cement outside her house. She watched as some words appeared on it.
'From Blue Isle Road to Azure Lane School'
Soon enough, a woman's head popped out from the light.
'Miss Melody? This is your transportation to the school. Step right in!'
With that, she stepped into the blazing ball of light outside her doorway. What was the worst that could happen?
