On the periphery of the Pristine White Lake, dozens of groups of hunters stationed, over a hundred people. They all came from different countries.
All of them were waiting for the right moment to head over to the small island at the center of the Pristine White Lake and grabbed a specimen of Pristine White Rose, and then run back. At the same time, guard against those who intend to snatch the gain of others.
Unknown to them, the overlord of Pristine White Lake, White Mother Gorgon have long noticed them. As a high-level beast, it has a special detection ability to identify prey around it. It uses its tongue to taste the wind, and through tasting, it could see everything around it for several miles away. Only those buried underground could escape from it.
With high wisdom, White Mother Gorgon knew that their target was the blooming Pristine White Rose and she was waiting for them to send themselves to it. As long as they stepped on the island, it would be their end.
Reid, isolated from the world using his Isolation Field. No existence, no scent, no presence. For the world, he simply does not exist.
Such capability allowed Reid to sneak into the ranks of hunters, grouping around the periphery of Pristine White Lake, hiding amongst the ancient trees, knowing that they would no be able to get what they wanted if they do not work with each other.
Even with their meager numbers and strength, fighting against a Commander Beast was a suicide. How many beasts a Commander Beast could command? All beast within its territory. And within the area of Pristine White Lake, there were millions of them. Within the bushes, under the lake, and the ground.
Visiting the hunters, Reid observed each group and estimated their strengths. And among the people he saw, he found some people he could call acquaintances. The group from Garrette Guild and Red Bull Guild, the woman called Lene Blacke that he saved before, and the group of people that killed the Wrathful Thunder Lion.
Approaching behind Lene, who was hiding at a very inconspicuous place. Reid was sure that she was thinking of stealing from other people again.
Extending his Isolation Field to Lene, Reid spoke in a casual tone. "Who are you targeting this time?"
The extremely vigilant Lene swiftly drew the dagger attached at her waist and slashed at the person that suddenly appeared behind her.
Prepared for the sudden attack from her, Reid raised his hand and caught the dagger with two fingers, stopping it from moving further.
Shocked at how her fast attack was caught easily, but after taking a good look at the person before her, she calmed down. "Wha- Oh! It's you! The rude guy!"
Not wanting to argue with her, Reid simply asked. "Are here for the Pristine White Rose as well or just want to steal the fortune of other people?"
Lene snorted irritably. "Of course the latter. Do you think it is easy to obtain a Pristine White Rose from that small island?" She added. "All people here knew that the White Mother Gorgon was guarding it like a golden egg. Though there was a flower bed with purely made up of Pristine White Rose on the small island, snatching even one of it was not so easy."
Reid thinks silently and asked. "So what do you think they would do?"
Lene looked at the people at the distance and replied rudely. "How do I know? I did not take that mission anyway. Adamantine-Rank... That rank is still too far from me."
Reid smiled faintly and said. "At least, you are self-aware."
Knowing that she could not beat Reid, Lene could only give him a deadly glare at him as she thought. 'This guy! Is my charm not working anymore?! I`m so beautiful and sexy with my outfit, but this guy is not even tempted at all! He is gay! Definitely!'
Ignoring her annoying glaring eyes, Reid offered. "Do you want to come with me?"
"What will I get if I come with you?" Lene asked and thought that Reid was nothing great except for his ability to become invisible. Immediately, she said. "I take back what I said! Let me come with you, master!"
This is a thick golden thigh! I must grasp on him firmly! Lene thought in her mind, imagining walking into the heavily guarded and largest treasure vault brimming with precious treasures, and through the door that was opened by Reid like he was her servant, but the guards were ignorant.
Her daydreaming was interrupted as Reid snapped her out. She asked. "What should I do?"
"Just stay close to me and even if you punch someone face to face they will not see you," Reid added pointedly. "But be warned. My ability will only work as long as you stay close to me um... within five meters. Beyond that and you will become visible again."
"Understood!" Lene nodded, taking note of the warning in her mind.
Lene eagerly walked behind Reid, maintaining a two meters distance as they head towards the hunter groups gathering at the distance.
Though, gathering together was a taboo that could attract the attention of a Giant Earth Worm, but within the inner region of Black Mud Marsh where commander beasts lived, it was not a taboo.
After all, commander beasts were not just a decoration. Giant Earth Worm were low-level beasts and studies found that they could only reach Gold-level at most, within their entire life. However, their body was abnormally large, which gave them an advantage.
Being eaten by a peak Gole-level Giant Earth Worm was a very unpleasant experience. Seeing a maw brimming with sharp teeth intending to grind you into granules could scare anybody, but as long as you`re strong enough, escaping from the mouth of a Giant Earth Worm was not a difficult task.
Stalking some hunter groups, Lene started her fun mall shopping, stealing some of their belongings while they were busy strategizing on how to complete their objective. They walked back and forth into the circles of people, but no one could notice them.
Waving her hand on the face of the bearded guy before her, Lene muttered enviously. "This ability is really great... If only I have this ability."
"Let`s try it." She thought of something and grinned evilly as she tripped the man who was walking towards her.
"Ouch!" The man fell down with his face gettinf buried on the ground as his swinging mace his the back of his head. He stood up in anger and spat out some mud that he accidentally ate. "Phew! Phew! Who! Who tripped me! Motherfucker!!! Come out and fight me!"
The others laughed at his misfortune as they saw his face covered in mud.
Watching from the side, Lene could not help but laugh. "This is really fun!"
Reid shook his head as he spoke. "Okay, stop it and get their things."
After a few seconds, the two both left with leisurely and went to other groups. And after going through all other hunter groups, Lene followed Reid subconsciously as she counted her gains. "This is much better than all of my adventure! Hahaha! I hit the jackpot this time!"
Rustle! Rustle!
Lene stiffened as she felt the sharp leaf of grasses scratch her legs. She looked around and hurried closer to Reid, feeling fear in her heart. "Wha-What are we doing here! Are you finally going to show your true color?! I tell you! I will not succumb!"
Reid looked at her funnily. "We`ve reached this far and you are still okay. What are you afraid of?"
After a thought that she was invisible, she calmed down. Looking around, she saw a sea of grass, heard the rustling of leaves, the sound of crickets and hiss of snakes hiding under the grasses. Then, a snake as big as her slithered passed, not even bothering to look at her as if she did not exist.
Reid smiled faintly. "Have you calm down? Then, follow me. If you worry about the White Mother Gorgon, then you don`t have to. Even that beast will not be able to see you. So you can relax. Just follow me honestly."
Remembering the range limit, Lene nodded vigorously and closely followed behind Reid, not leaving within two meters away from him.
