The Arrival

I spaced out as I was staring at the cell door, just letting my imagination go wild, about what Sid's comrades will end up doing when they get here,

I turn to Sid and notice that he is sniffing the air, confused in why he was doing that, I ask myself.

"what is he doing now?"

He turns to me, smiles and says.

"they are not far from here."

I reply.

"how do you know?"

he answers.

"don't worry about it, just get ready to leave

when they get come get us."

I start getting suspicious, but I shrug it off for now, just in case if his comrades are actually coming, and if it's true then I need to use this opportunity to get the hell out of here. We are sitting down, patiently waiting for something to happen, and then the silence that was hanging in the air was broken, when we started to hear a bunch muffled commotion echoing throughout the cell hallway, Sid started laughing and joyfully says.

"they are finally here."

as I celebrate with Sid, we get interrupted by an angry roar, that came from down the hallway, my ears start ringing violently because of that, I quickly cover my ears, and then as I keep looking out the cell door, a guy wearing the red hooded robes passes by our cell, but he is backing away from something and firing multiple wind blasts, and then all of a sudden a wolf" that is about twice the size of a human comes into view, but it doesn't look like any regular wolf, this thing is standing on its hind legs, and it has very human like arms with claws that look dangerously sharp, the fur of this monstrosity is a dark grey color, and the iris color in his eyes are silver, the red hooded guy keeps firing multiple wind blasts at it, but the wolf just deflects it with ease, and with a blink of an eye it lunges forward at him with great force, they both disappear from our I sights, and then shortly a loud crunching sound, following with a loud snap echoes through the hallway, the wolf returns to the front of our cell, and it has blood oozing from its mouth and some flesh stuck on its sharp teeth, the wolf snarls as it looks at me, Sid then says.

"relax Klein, this guy is a friend."

he then looks at me and says.

"don't worry kid he is one of my comrades, named Klein."

I nervously ask Sid.

"what do you mean comrade?"

he replies.

"he is a werewolf."

I give Sid a worried look and nervously ask.

"does that mean you're a werewolf too?"

he gives me a serious look and nods, Sid looks back at the werewolf and says.

"Klein rip open that gate for us, and remember the kid is with us so don't kill him."

Klein gets a tight grip of the bars and with one pull the cell door is broken open.

I then ask Sid.

"Can you turn into a werewolf?

he replies.

"not right now."

we quickly leave the cell and then I ask another question.

"why can't you turn right now?"

he replies.

"because my mana flow is being blocked and so I can't transform until the effect of the green liquid goes away."

Sid then looks at the werewolf Klein nods to him in approval as if he was telling him good job, he then turns to me and says.

"kid stay behind me and Klein, we'll protect you as we leave this place."

I take a look around and see that the other cells were still closed and had a bunch of other people locked up, I then say to Sid.

"we need to help these people escape."

he gives me a sigh of fustration and replies.

"fine but you are going to have to do it on your own I have to go find the others, but once your done, escape to the forest and we will come find you."

I reply.

"thank you, we will see each other later."

Sid and Klein leave, I began to look for the keys, I then see that there is a key hook by the exit but the keys aren't hanging there, I then ask myself.

"where else would they put the keys?"

I stare down the hall and see the mangled body of the guy that Klein attacked, I groan and think to myself.

"It might be on that dead guy."

I head towards the body, I see a huge chunk of flash that was ripped off from his shoulder, with blood still pouring out and forming huge puddle, and his head seems to be twisted all the way around, the sight before me was more gruesome than what I did, when I kill the hobgoblin, my gag reflexes finally reacts to the sight, and I throw up, I quickly regain my composure and start searching through every pocket and until I finally find the key, I then think to myself.

"hopefully this is the last gruesome thing I'll ever see in my life."

as I start unlocking the cell doors, I'm greeted with appreciation and with tearful hugs, and

I just tell all them.

"get out of here and don't look back."

they all disappear through the exit, I stay behind and double check each cell just to make sure I didn't miss anyone, I sigh in relief and say to myself.

"finally, it's time to leave."

I make a quick dash to the exit, and see that there is a stair case that goes up and down, as I'm about to head downstairs, someone climbs up and stops as he sees me, he then shouts in anger.

"oh you're still here, you little shit!"

I think to myself.

"shit it's the same guy that I punched when he tried to inject me."

It looks like I've got no choice but to run upstairs.
