Getting to Know You (2)

Hmm. Will alerts like this happen often? It seems a bit unnecessary...

I selected the Yes option and the gift box popped out of the inventory and into my hands. My eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw it!

It went from 2D to 3D in an instant!

"Well, this is cool," I said, opening the box. Inside were those long envelopes, like the ones you'd get in the mail for official stuff or whatever. I picked one up and opened it.

Briiing! [The Player has received 350 Stat points.]

"T-that's a lot of Stat points..." I looked down at the notebook, wondering why he was giving me such a generous gift.

(Since I'm not able to get revenge myself, I want you to do it for me. And you can't beat the jerks that killed me if you're weak. So I've handed down my points, money, and a little extra. Our Systems are the same, so it shouldn't be a problem for you to learn the extra things.)

If the guy was willing to give me all of his stuff, I sure as heck was gonna beat whoever's ass it was that killed him.

The second box held these colorful little crystals. There was a least a hundred of them, in different shapes, sizes, and colors.

Briiing! [The Player has received 400 G credits, 300 D credits, 200 C credits, 100 B credits, and 20 A credits.]

I didn't know how much the credits were worth, but dang, was this guy rich! If I had all this money back on my world...

When I opened the third box, all I found were books. They didn't seem very important to me. But this must be the 'little extra' the guy had talked about.

When I touched a book, an alert sounded.

[The Player has picked up a Player Class book. This book belonged to the Original Player Powyn Theeves. Would the Player like to become a Mage and learn the Skill the Original Player Powyn Theeves had?]

I selected yes. A barrage of information pushed itself into my mind. I grabbed my head and groaned, rocking back in forth in the chair. The pain was worse than when I went through the body change.

[Skills have been transferred.]

I took a breath and opened the Skills tab.

I smiled when I saw the Skills. I didn't know what I could do with them, but they sounded extra cool. The pain was worth it.

I reached for the fourth box, hoping I'd get even cooler things.

And then the door burst open.
