Chapter 21: The Disappearance

Kiara Hoffman's POV

I was playing with his silken hair as he was sleeping next to me. The weakness of my self-control. My Charles. I sighed as I was looking at the early dawn light. I know what I must do but how can I do it if he asked me to marry him last night?

"I have to do what I must, my love," I whispered to him as I kissed his hair before I got out of bed. We have spent hours and hours last night in this bed to reconcile our heated moment and how Charles has demonstrated that being married to him will be a happy one.

"I must let you go so that you will be happy, my love," I said before I bent to kiss him again for the last time as I looked at the message that Boss has sent me.

'Come to Zurich at once, leave Charles out of it,' it stated before I took my backpack and I went to look at him on the bed. His naked, broad shoulders, his black, silken hair. His handsome face. I will treasure it all.
