Chapter 26: The Kitchen

Kiara Hoffman's POV

I was nervous but when I looked at Charles who was sipping on his wine across the table, I felt even more nervous. I don't know why I should be this way since we already slept together in the past and that he had claimed my innocence. But I can't help it.

"You know, they served this even better when I went to one wedding this one time. I can hardly recognize it. This version is better," my friend said as she was talking with Boss about the cuisine that we were eating right now.

"Yes, indeed as I was remembering it very distinctively. It was hardly any spice in that one before. Not that I was at the wedding or anything but merely something I ate at the other restaurant of the same bloody thing," Boss said as my friend laughed at his notion. I sipped on the wine as Charles hardly left his gaze from my face.

"So, what's your plan for the honeymoon?" My friend asked me as I was blinking at her. I sipped some more before I put the glass done.
