Chapter 27: The Laziness

Kiara Hoffman's POV

I tossed and turned in the bed as my hand-stretched to find the person that was next to me. It was empty. I opened my eyes to see that the sun was shining and I was all alone in our bed.

What the hell!

I looked around as I was looking for Charles. He was not in the room as I was clutching the duvet to my naked body as I was standing up from the bed. I sighed as I was wondering where he went early in the morning.

My nose picked up something as I was smelling something delicious was cooking on the stove. I picked up the duvet and I ran out to the kitchen. My stack was that Charles was preparing something in the kitchen.

Instantly, my face was warmed as I recalled what happened last night. I smiled as I was running toward the kitchen before my eyes were feasted on the bareback of my husband. He was stirring something on the stove as he reached out to get something on the cabinet above.
