Chapter 4 Train a Lover

Machiavelli once said, it is better to be feared than loved.

Ye Lin thinks so.

Even though he's not an emperor.

But at least, he is the absolute ruler in the presence of his lover.

Yu Yue returns to school, suddenly has a flash of intuition. He rushes back to the dorm and opens his computer, searching for the exchange programs.

He just thinks of that he doesn't need to stay in Beijing. If he had the chance to get into the exchange programs, he could go to Hong Kong, Taiwan or other countries for a semester or a year.

However, Yu Yue figures out that he has past the deadline for most programs if he wants to leave on next semester. Except a one-year program in Taiwan, which only takes sophomore or junior students.

Yu Yue can not wait till next year to leave. In hopeless darkness, he chose Ye Lin reluctantly, and persuaded himself that the time of four years is tolerable. But now there's another way, he holds it tightly and would not let it go in any circumstances, like a drowning man who catch a straw.

Yu Yue takes action promptly. He fills out all the forms and prepares the materials, runs to the Academic Affair Office on Monday morning.

The teacher there stares him with big eyes: "No way. You need to be a sophomore student first. It is impossible to take a freshman no matter what you say."

Yu Yue almost kneels down to him: "please, I won't be worse than the sophomore students. I can take their courses in advance. I promise I can catch up to the sophomore level by the end of this semester."

"What's your point? There will be plenty of opportunities to exchange. If you insist, you'll be very tired and also, it's against the rule."

"Please, I have to go this year. Please, I'm sincere."

Yu Yue begs for a long time but the teacher refuses him.

However, Yu Yue doesn't give up. He goes to the office every day whenever he's free. Three days later, the teacher agrees: "negotiate with your advisor and professors, if you can get all credits for next year by the end of this semester, I'll take your application."

Then he goes back, and persuades more than ten teachers and professors with persistence. Finally, his name is added to the different examination lists, so as to get the credit.

The teacher in the Academic Affairs Office is surprised by his perseverance, but still tells him: "don't be relaxed. You have to pass all those exams to get the credits, which means you're not going if any one of them is failed."

"Yes, for sure." Yu Yue laughs. It's not easy, but at least it's the destiny controlled in his own hand.

Yu Yue could hardly imagine how he get through. He has to take three times as many classes as anyone else, plus what he has missed. His study time is almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—except when he's picked up to Ye Lin.

In fact, Ye Lin only looked for him three times during the last two months in this semester. He denied twice by different reasons—and the third time, Ye Lin comes personally. Although he said something mean and violent before, he doesn't really hurt Yu Yue because of the absences. What he does is only playfully twisting Yu's ears. But Yu Yue still gets nervous and almost crying out when kissing by him. Maybe Yu's reaction looks too painful, Ye Lin makes a brief sound of disgust and then unties him. They stay together for a day. Yu Yue can not be relaxed until Ye leaves—he's afraid of being raped again.

From a few words, Yu Yue knows that Ye Lin has married already, and has more than two 'lovers' like Cheng and him. So-called busy is not all about work. Yu Yue feels relieved a little bit—Ye Lin should not have that much energy to pay attention to him since he has several lovers.

For most of the time, Yu Yue forgets Ye Lin at all. He can focus on his studies only if ignoring Ye Lin's existence—he thought he studied for exam in the past but right now, he realizes this is really for his future.

The January comes in an instant.

Yu Yue passed all the subjects, miraculously, and got the credits for all three semesters. The teacher in the Academic Affairs Office opens his eyes wider, gives the 'green light' to him in astonishment.

There are two months before the date of exchange. Yu Yue takes a stack of documents to apply for the Traveling Permit.

As he walking along the road, it seems as if a balloon slowly swells in his chest, flies off into the endless blue sky. The sunshine spread all over the ground, lighting up his way ahead.

Yu Yue has made up his decision. He has booked the train ticket to go home for Lunar's New Year. And then he would fly directly from his hometown to Taiwan without returning to Beijing, in case there's any other troubles.

It's one day left only, Yu Yue packs his bag up, waiting for next day. Soon, he would jump on to the train and leave here. Beijing, see you a year later.

But this afternoon, after 3 o'clock, a phone call from Ye Lin drags him to the abyss while he's full of hope with a little apprehension.

"Yu Yue, come down. I wait you downstairs at your dormitory."

Yu Yue takes a deep breath, tells himself to be calm. The reactionaries are all paper tigers. He would go far away tomorrow if he could get through this time. Everything would be fine.

With such thoughts, Yu Yue tries his best to obey Ye Lin. As long as he doesn't provoke Ye Lin and doesn't give Ye Lin any chance to get him in troubles, he wins.

And this time, Yu Yue is taken to the villa in Huairou District again.

As soon as he gets into the house, Ye Lin begins to prepare the dinner. On purpose of pleasing and placating Ye Lin, Yu Yue is going into the kitchen with him and trying to help. In fact, he never do chores at home, so basically, he can help nothing. Now, he stands there and watches Ye Lin cooking for the most time, although he wants to help.

Ye Lin seems to be relaxed, he even picks up a piece of meat and asks Yu Yue to taste. Yu Yue feels uncomfortable incomparably, but still doesn't dare not to eat.

"What's your plan on vacation?" Ye seems want to chat with him.

"Um…go home."

"When?"

"Tomorrow."

"Tomorrow? Looks like I got you here in time." Ye Lin smiles, "train or airplane?"

"Train."

"Where's your ticket?"

"In my bag."

"Yu Yue?"

"Hmm?"

"Do me a favor," Ye Lin turns his head and smiles to him, "go to the second floor—I took out a bottle of red wine this morning but forgot to bring it down. Should be in the living room, or in the study. Find it and bring it here."

"OK." Yu Yue gets his order, turns around and runs upstairs immediately.

He doesn't find it in the living room, nor in the study. He looks around but there is no wine in his sight.

He suspects that Ye Lin didn't take it out at all, and then goes downstairs to reply him.

Unexpectedly, while getting to the first floor, he sees Ye Lin stands in the living room, holding his ticket and travel permit. His bag is open widely near Ye's feet.

"Taiwan? It's really far enough." Ye Lin smiles, tearing both ticket and permit in half with a sizzling sound, "you don't need to go home now. Stay with me here for the New Year."

"Ye Lin!" Yu Yue exclaims with modulation.

Ye Lin, who smiled gently and harmlessly a second ago, becomes a hideous demon, but still smiling.

And then there's another sizzling noise. Ye Lin crumples the scraps of paper into a ball in his hand.

"Ye Lin!" Rushes up crazily, Yu Yue wants to grab the fragments from him.

While Ye Lin opening his hand, Yu Yue takes out the paper ball. He kneels on the ground, trying to put those pieces back to the original shape.

His hands are too shaky to hold the paper and put them together.

Suddenly, he regains his sense and no longer care about the debris on the ground. Instead, he directly rushes to the door.

But Ye Lin is quicker, he blocks in the doorway before Yu Yue getting there, and takes out the key, locks the door.

Yu Yue pushes him away, turns the handle desperately—the door is absolutely motionless.

"Let me out!" He shouts at Ye Lin recklessly.

Ye Lin ignores him and returns to the kitchen to cook their dinner.

"Ye Lin!" Yu Yue follows him all the way up, "let me go!"

"I told you to stay." Ye Lin continues cooking.

"I want to leave! I want to go home!" Yu Yue almost growls, "Let me go!"

"Don't go anywhere, stay in Beijing with me."

"Fuck you! I want to go home!" Yu Yue can not help cursing, "You're fucking sick! Why should I stay! I don't want to see you! You freak! Bastard!"

"You can not leave if I want you to stay. Shouting at me won't help." In a calm voice, Ye Lin dishes the food and wipes his hand, "take two bowls."

"Take shit!" Yu Yue shouts.

Ye Lin goes to the dinning room without replying him.

Feeling the blood flows to the head, Yu Yue waves his hand towards the counter. A dish crashes with a clash in a flash. It's not enough. Yu Yue pulls open the cupboard and tugs the sliding tray, and then, all the dishes fall on the ground, breaking in pieces with a cracking sound. The kitchen is full of splinters.

When the sound goes away, Yue's anger is also dispersed. There's only desperation left in his heart. He crouches down and buries his face in the knees.

Ye Lin is already standing at the entrance of the kitchen.

"Yu Yue." His chilly voice sounds cool with no temperature, "did your parents tell you, a child would be punished to kneel if he broke any dishware?"

Yu Yue looks up at Ye Lin in fear and anxiety.

"Be conscious, if you don't want me to beat you." Ye Lin points the broken dishes on the ground, "kneel there."

Yu Yue is frozen, neither kneeling nor standing up.

Ye Lin takes a step to grab his back collar, then drags him to the front of those fragments, kicks at his knees from behind, and pushes him down to kneel.

It's too pain to howl. Yu Yue struggles to stand up, but kicked down by Ye Lin one more time. He falls down on the fragments, with hands bleeding on the ground.

"Kneel here for two hours without protest, I'll forgive you then. If you dare to move, I'll put those pieces into your body." Ye Lin's voice is like a sharp blade, cutting his heart to bleed.

Yu Yue realizes his stupidity and powerlessness in the moment. He's not able to defeat Ye Lin, which means he's not qualified to argue not matter what, since it only gives Ye Lin chance to humiliate and torture him.

He closes his eyes and tries to stop thinking, as if it could reduce his pain.

After threatening him to kneel, Ye Lin leaves the kitchen.

The suffocating atmosphere makes Yu Yue feel dizzy no matter he opens or closes his eyes.

The dignity shattered on the ground hurts him much more than the broken dishes.

Yu Yue, the two characters, has always been written on the top of the list, admiring by his peers, has always been a good example, reading by his teacher, and has always been a good boy for his parents, jealous by the neighbors.

These two character has never been trampled under his knees.

The reflection of the incandescent lamp on the broken tile hurts his eyes, making his vision blurred.

His mother once said, Yu Yue, it is the most proud to have you in my life. And his father said, son, you are the most successful work of mine.

Yu Yue raises his head up and bits the lips, feeling a pang of sadness in the chest. He's convulsing and trembling with pain.

He reaches out a hand and grabs a piece of fragments in the palm, gripping it as hard as he can, allowing the sharp edge to cut through his skin and into the bones.

Then he opens his hand, the color of blood is heaving in his sight vividly.

The world of his past is broken in a mess as the fragments on the ground, his destiny in future is twisted as the cut on the palm. There's nothing worth to treasure for him, and everything can be given up. He has lost it all, his dignity, his freedom, and now his last hope.

He grips the fragment again. And this time, he trusts it into his neck, where he can feel the regular pulsation.

"Yu Yue!" He hears a growl.

Ye Lin rushes in, grabs his hand to open, and throws the piece of thing at the wall.

Then he slaps at Yu Yue's face, making him fall down. Before Yu Yue reacting to this, Ye Lin press him down and slaps him again.

"You want to die? Just try! You are mine now, on what ground do you dare to die?" Ye Lin clutches Yu Yue's collar in growling.

Yu Yue is beaten to groggy, and he says inarticulately: "Let me go…take off your hands…"

"Don't expect that! You are mine and I'll never let you go! Even you're fucking died." Ye Lin roars out, and then begins to tear Yu Yue's clothes.

"What are you doing? Let me go! Let me go!" Shouts loudly, Yu Yue is pressed to lay on the broken fragments and his back starts bleeding.

He receives another blow on the face, which makes him blind for a moment.

Meanwhile, Ye Lin grabs his hair to pull him up to kneel on the ground: "I was polite enough to you since you're a boy. But you choose the hard way." Then he grabs Yu Yue's head to knock on the edge of the table.

Yu Yue's face is wounded immediately like being splashed with paint, red, blue, and purple. He can only moan faintly as the stars flashing in front of him.

Finally, the torture stops. Yu Yue even has no time to take a breath, since Ye Lin holds his jaw immediately and presses him on the cooking table. He helplessly looks at that Ye Lin unzips his pants and takes out the penis in front of his eyes.

"Give me a blow job." Ye Lin orders.

Yu Yue is forced to open the mouth before he figures out that order. Then, Ye Lin tries to put his penis into Yu Yue's mouth.

Yu Yue shakes his head as hard as he can to avoid it, so that the penis rubs against his face. Finally he bursts into tears and implores inarticulately: "Don't! Please don't!"

Ye Lin punches him down on the ground with a fist, ignores his crying, simply takes off his pants, insert the penis into his body without any foreplay.

"Ah——!" Yu Yue is screaming with the extreme pain. He even can't say anything in that moment. After a while, he still only squeezes out a few shaky words: "Please…no…no…Ahh—!…let me go…please let me go…"

"Does it hurt?" Ye Lin holds his chin, tighter and tighter, "I just want to teach you a lesson, make you remember the pain and know what to fear. So that you would consider my feelings and what will happen if you want to escape, or do something wrong in the future—understand?!"

"Yes, understand…Ah!" Yu Yue trembles while screaming heartbreakingly. As Ye Lin goes back and forth, his back is cut by the porcelain. And there is a lot of blood under his body.

Yu Yue can only sob brokenly. He turns his head away from the face of the devil, but the devil then forced him to look back by pulling his chin. He tries to close his eyes, but is forced to open it. He can hear nothing then, and a slap fall down on his face, making his mouth bleed in the corner.

The only thing Yu Yue can do is to open his eyes which are out of focus.

It is too pain. Why don't I faint? Why don't I die? Yu Yue keeps thinking about these questions in his mind. But he still doesn't get the answer when Ye Lin lifts him up.

Ye Lin holds him in the bathtub and he even has no strength to blink. He stares at Ye Lin, continuing to gasp.

"Relax, relax." Ye Lin strokes his chest with a hand: "breathe slowly."

Unexpectedly, Yu Yue seems to be hit by electricity, he shrinks back in a sudden: "you…you…aha…don't…ha…don't touch me…"

"I won't touch you, be relaxed. Slow your breath, relax." Ye Lin tries to pacify Yu Yue. It seems like that he's having an asthma attack, if he can not snap out of it, he might fall into a coma.

Ye Lin steps back while using language to pacify Yu Yue. After ten minutes, Yu Yue finally calms down and begins to breathe normally. Ye Lin then get close to him slowly.

"Don't come here! Don't touch me! I'll listen to you in the future! Please don't hit me! Don't touch me!" Yu Yue begs him with screaming, his voice is almost miserable.

Ye Lin feels a little complacent, he's afraid of pain anyway. Ye Lin walks to him and squats down: "It's okay, don't worry, as long as you listen to me, I will not punish you, will not hurt you. So will you be obedient?"

"Yes…" Yu Yue opens his eyes widely like a wounded animal.

"Do you want to stay?"

"Yes…"

"Do you still want to go to Taiwan?"

"No…"

"Will you escape?"

"No…"

"Do you dare to fool around again?"

"No, no…" Yu Yue repeatedly shakes his head.

"Good boy." Ye Lin smiles. He enjoys the conquest, making an independent man who has the self-righteous dignity to crawl at his feet as a docile dog.

He looks at Yu Yue, his one eye is swollen, his mouth and nose are covered by blood, not mention to his back. Some wounds turn out the flesh, looks miserable. It is cruel-hearted. But if he's not heartless, when can he tame Yu Yue? When can he make Yu Yue kneel to him voluntarily?"

Ye Lin is not a softhearted person. He wants to hold Yu Yue in his hand because in his world, there's nothing he can not conquer. Yu Yue repeatedly challenges his authority, directly or indirectly. Even only for this, he has to tame the wayward horse under his pants. It has nothing to do with favor, not mention to love. It's just for the purpose of achieving his conquest. He will not relent until Yu Yue suffers the bitterness.

Ye Lin calls a private doctor to treat his wounds. And in the next few days, Yu Yue can only stay in bed. Ye Lin is also free, so he stays in the villa to company Yu Yue all the time.

Now, Yu Yue is really afraid of Ye Lin. Even during the lunch or dinner, if Ye Lin takes a glance at him, he would stand up and bows his head shrinkingly as a conditioned reflex.

At the beginning, it makes Ye Lin feel funny, but later he gets bored. People are always like this, they are interested in the process of conquest, but once they get it, they'll feel bored immediately.
