Ch8: Man or Beast

The entrance of the place was a master piece of filth, we descended under the ground and the deeper we got the worst was the smell. The smell of a pig's farm would be considered a colon in comparison to this place. What is this? They treated them like animals, even animals lived in better places than this filth. I was about to meet the man that destroyed my childhood and ruined my life.

He entered with a completely sordid outfit, begrimed and blackened. His eyes were popping out of his skull and his spine was seen through his raged clothes that man did not appear as the frightening monster that hunted my nightmares but rather a man who was rescued from a famine.

He looked surprised to see me as if he hadn't have company in ages. He said with a coarse voice

"Who are you young man?"

"You do not recognize your own son" I said in a roughly manner more harsh than I intended.

But his expression changed and his eyes filled with tears he started breaking down slowly in front of me as if what I said was the last straw. He tried to touch my face but the cuffs and shackles prevented his movement, he stayed like that for a while but once he regained his composer

"I am sorry SON, I really loved you and your mother".

"Then why did you kill her?" I interrupted him.
