Ch9: No more Blue

"I never would have imagined an ending like that for our family, we were so happy when you were first born that you would think we were purple not green, but I guess that did not last , your mother got sick and she needed care and medication and I...I could not afford all this I got a medical loan and our life spiraled down wards from that moment on , we became yellow and I lost my job and you know what happened after that on that day she decided to stop treatment and that meant she would die, she had cancer and it was not an easy job to take care of her and work at the same time. I did my best I swear I did but but she could not endure that life. I did not mean to push her she was just determined and I just could not endure the thought of her death and.....and …..I just pushed her". I was utterly shocked, what I heard was not what I expected my life was ruined because my family could not afford to get sick.

"I am so sorry SON, I am so sorry" he started crying again but this time I stood up and I embraced him.

"I never thought I would forgive the man I hated all my life but it was not his fault it was the system's he spent his life in ruins surrounded with guilt and loneliness. I don't think he deserved such a severe punishment for being poor.

I promised that I will visit him again soon, he told me I needed to meet my family and to know my real name "Jade teal Green" he told me before I left.

The next day he died, as if he was waiting to see me and then he faded quietly. My Life was chaotic, I lost my blue life, my blue love and my peace of mind within a couple of months.

He didn't deserve to die the way he lived so I gave him a proper burial. I gathered his belongings, he had a picture of us as a family, a small letter for me and a keychain that was a colorful rainbow that became a colourless curve. The letter was an apology for me after his death he also wrote the names of my family members in green, he guided me even after his death, and I was not going to waste that opportunity.
