Freaking Goddess

I finally met Tatiana the next day at breakfast. This family had serious issues with me and my breakfast. I had just arrived at the dining room after my shower once I came back from my morning run. Ari and Miraj were already at the table and Miraj was helping Ari with his napkin as I walked in. I said my greetings and sat down on my chair. Soon Pablo walked in and informed us of her arrival and she came in right after him without waiting for any polite permission. I could clearly see his disapproval of her because of her poor manners. At least I wasn't alone in hating her.

She was small, thin and beautiful. The kind of petite and delicate woman that brings out the protective instinct in a man. She had slightly wavy blond hair till just above her waist and eyes that were ice blue. She had a stunning face with a narrow chin and full lips. This wasn't a woman, this was a freaking goddess. I hated not being prepared for this. I should have ordered an investigation on her.

As I cursed myself, she turned to me and said in a loud cheerful voice, "Good Morning! I am sorry I couldn't wait to meet Miraj and his family anymore."

I raised an eyebrow as I tried to understand what she was playing at. She was dressed in a sleeveless royal blue office dress that fit her perfectly looking ready for the day while I was in my casual jean shorts with a baggy T-shirt. I felt under-dressed for breakfast in my own house. I wanted her gone so bad.

"Um.. good morning..", I said because Miraj looked like he would rather be at the bottom of a well than be here. And Ari was trained to not speak to strangers who weren't introduced to him by us.

Miraj got out of his funk as he heard my voice and introduced us all.

"Eli, Ari, this is Tatiana Mathews. Dr. Mathews' daughter. Tatiana, this is my family. My wife, Eli, and my son, Ari." I noticed he hadn't greeted her.

"Hello", said Ari.

Tatiana gave him a broad smile and said to us, "Eli, I have heard so many things about you. It's great to finally meet you. And Ari, I must say you're just as cute as your father was, when he was a kid."

That smile was suffocating me. She was such a genuine actor but in the end, she was an actor. I hated fake people. They reminded me of people I never wanted to think about. I gave her a forced smile and gave Miraj a glare to make it clear how much I wanted her to leave. He gave me a sheepish smile and stared at his plate. I said to Tatiana, "So how come you came without letting us know? I mean if you had informed us earlier, we could have made some time in our schedules." I would have scheduled her for 'never'.

"Oh, it's alright if you are busy. I just wanted to meet you all once. I couldn't wait to see what Miraj's son looked like. I would like to spend some time with him if you guys are busy."

Like hell I am leaving my son with her.

"Ari has a myriad of classes all day. Like I said, you should have informed us earlier."

I didn't care if I came off as rude. I wasn't under any obligation to be polite to her. Everyone knew there was no love lost between me and her father. I could be downright hostile and nobody except Miraj could stop me. But I didn't want to go that far because I wanted to believe she was a harmless chicken who didn't warrant such actions.

Her cheerfulness lessened but she still smiled as she said, "Oh, okay. That's fine I guess. He is still a growing child. He needs his classes just as much he requires playing time."

She wasn't giving up.

"It's okay, miss. I enjoy my classes so they are my play-ying time."

Oh my son was a sweetheart.

Miraj finally decided to give up on letting this play out and said to her, "Tatiana, why don't you come back for dinner later tonight? All of us have things to get to and won't be able to entertain you right now." In short, get out till we feel like seeing your face.

"Alright. I'll see you guys later. I hope you remember my favorites, Miraj." She giggled at my husband. Her favorites, my ass. I was gonna have her head for dinner if she didn't leave.

Miraj breathed a sigh of relief as she left. I turned to Ari and helped him wipe his mouth and hands, and get out of the chair.

"Can you go back to your room, baby? I need to speak to Dada, alone."

My adorable baby just nodded his head and said, "Okay, Mama. Bye, Dada."

Miraj kissed Ari and let him go.
