『PureMornings』

After Murdock and Foggy left the house, with a free breakfast, Jack and Gwen had about an hour until they had to leave for school! This left plenty of time to fetch her uniform from her room, however as Jack was watching outside, his eyes narrowed on a police cruiser which was pulling up to the curb.

Gwen padded on over next to him as he was standing in the living room window, watching over the street. She raised a brow looking at the cruiser. "Mmm... It's not my dad's car."

It wasn't her father's, but Gwen was pretty certain it had something to do with her dad.

Reaching over, she would lightly grasp his hand in her own, biting the inside of her lower lip. "Think my dad's okay?" She asked looking over to him.

"...He's not on the news, and those uniforms aren't going up to your front door." Jack assured her with ease as she was gripping his hand pretty tightly. Other than chewing on her lip and nearly breaking his hand with her spidey strength, she seemed relatively calm on the surface.

"So, Hero name, go." Jack pointed at her with his free hand.

"Aaaah..." Gwen lulled her head back before letting it fall forward, her blonde hair framing her face imperfectly, for the fact that one side didn't have any long locks to frame her cheeks. "Ghost Spider," she immediately erected her head, a design, a perfect design in her head after thinking about it for so long.

"...Ghost Spider... Sounds reclusive," Jack smugly glanced away from her as he kept a laugh suppressed in the back of his throat.

"Oi!" She gave his shoulder a rather hard love tap, "Don't soil my name choice!"

"...It's not bad... It's definitely better than the generic 'Spider-Woman' or 'Spider-Girl,' Now... Since you have a name, think you'd be able to sketch out what you have in mind? Perhaps I can help ascertain the materials." His eyes were on her now, his form facing her entirely as he turned to do so.

"I am not a 'Spider-Girl,' do I look like a girl to you?" She gestured to herself with one hand over her chest, all prideful-like with a self-centered smirk across those soft natural lips. "Anyways, I'll show you after school." She made a duck face as she pursed her lips forward. "You have study hall today right?"

"Yes...?"

"Want to go home during study hall?" She asked with a wide smile across her lips.

"Your dad's going to be home."

"We don't have to come back home right away," She shifted her toes against the ground almsot bashfully, "We could go shopping."

"...A normal place wouldn't have what we're looking for..." Jack pointed out as she seemed to be playing with his fingers now that she had both her hands on his. "Plus, I'm probably going to end up killing Fisk after school anyways..."

The bashfulness that was once shown, vanished as he spoke of killing Fisk as if it was nothing. Though she was sure killing was probably nothing to him. He was an engineered killing machine, it was what he did. It still bothered her though that he could talk like this.

"I told him not to send goons after either you or your dad. He didn't listen," Jack could easily read how she felt on this.

"What about having that second chance...?" She looked unto him sternly, her fingers grasping at his hand extremely hard, enough to make him lightly tug his hand out of her grasp.

"Would you rather Fisk continue to try to kill you and your father?"

Gwen frowned as she heard him. She knew in a way he was right. Fisk always got out of jail and the mobster wasn't afraid of killing people he saw as pests or in the way. It appears Jack in some way shape or form was the same way.

Jack excited her, everything about him excited her. He was always quiet, even when his actions were louder than any word a regular person could ever use.

He wanted to kill Fisk in order to protect her, to protect her father. Whether or not it was for love, or for sentimental reasons, she was unsure.

"No," Gwen let her arms fall to her sides as she took a step back from him. Looking him over as he was in that t-shirt and pants from yesterday. "I don't want him to continue..."

"Then we won't let him."

Gwen narrowed her eyes when he used the word 'we' as if she was going to be apart of killing someone. Why would she want to have blood on her hands? Then again, if she let him go through with this, wouldn't she have blood on her hands?

She found herself frowning again, her thoughts going in endless circles.

"I don't want to kill someone," Gwen walked over to the couch and sat down. There were heroes out there who were dark enough to kill people in their name of justice, one such being the Daredevil who had just been in the house. "I can't be responsible for that..."

She had been rather surprised Jack was able to comprehend a blind man's alter-ego, at the same time it was expected of him due to who he was.

Ironman also didn't hesitate to kill his opponents if they didn't give him any other choice. It was relatable to Jack as he also knew that Fisk wouldn't stay behind bars. So why keep locking someone up who will inevitably break out again. There had also been clear evidence that he still holds control of the Maggia families even when imprisoned as well...

Thumbing her forehead in thought, she closed her eyes.

She couldn't pretend he didn't say anything, that he was going to kill Fisk.

Wait, backtracking, her mind highlighted the word which he had used. "Possibly?" Her eyes opened and narrowed on him. "So you're thinking about it?"

"...Hm...Advanced Ideas Mechanics might order a hit on him..." Jack blatantly admitted as he rolled his neck while keeping his eyes on her. "...If it isn't I who takes the hit order, they'll probably employ the Q7 Strikeforce... Which might be good, since Fisk Tower would no longer be standing afterward."

Jack though actually wanted to kill Fisk. Attacking or planning on controlling him by capturing the girl who had gotten close to him, was a bad mistake. Most heroes who were capable of killing, or even villains, would murder whoever touched their family if they could or if no one stopped them.

The Q7 Strikeforce was made of a multinational group of mercenaries and assassins. Some of them had special powers, while others used specialized gadgets and tactics against their targets.

He was rather happy no one was using them against him, even though he'd likely be able to eliminate them if he could keep them separated for a time.

Letting out a light sigh, he walked towards the stairs, in order to go to his bedroom. He needed to get changed for school, there were some stains on his pants from their landing the day before.

She followed behind, curious of where he was going. Her toes curled into the carpet floor as she followed him up each step.

When they reached the top, Jack turned his head to the side and raised a brow, but said nothing an faced forward as he continued towards his room.

As they both entered, he waltzed on over to his hamper and started pulling off his clothes and dropping each article into it whilst Gwen was still standing there. Watching.

"Uh... Jack, what're you doing?" Gwen pointed at him with her lips pursed.

"Changing?" He looked to her for a few seconds before unbutton his pants and dropping them to the ground. Though he didn't turn his assets to face her as he'd make his way over to the closet.

Her face turned a light red as she watched him redress himself in new clothes. Though when he turned around zipping his fly, she squeaked as she brought a hand up to the side of her face as she turned away simultaneously.

Blinking at her reaction, he raised a brow slightly. "I'm going to go get your clothes now..." he uttered as he walked towards his window and pulled up the blackout shades from his path.

"You're going to go out the window...? Can't you use the front door?" Gwen giggled as she walked towards him, only to pause as she watched him turn entirely invisible. She didn't even see the glimmer of light being bent around him. "That's... Cool..." Admittedly jealous of what she had just witnessed she padded over to the window and looked down at the grass below.

She could hear the sound of the short blades of grass crunching under his feet.

Pulling her hoodie over her head as she could hear some kids from school walking down the street, she peered out from the corner of the window frame.

It was Eugene Flash Thompson and his cronies.

All of a sudden they all stopped and looked over towards her house, they stopped talking all together. Eugene ran his hand over his faded hairdo, smirking to himself confidently, before striding across the street.

"Oh... This should be interesting," Gwen watched as her window opened up and Jack invisibly climbed inside.

Hearing the window open, Eugene paused in front of the house before walking along to the side, looking at the open window. "Maybe I'll get a glimpse of her from here... I can't believe that dweeb lives right next door to..." He glanced over his shoulder just as Gwen ducked below the windowsill. "My Gwen."

"I'm not yours freak-o-zoid," Gwen muttered to herself as she peered over the sill towards her bedroom. Watching as her clothes were floating around. He wasn't neat when exploring her drawers. "I can't believe I'm letting him do this...."

Looking back towards the bedroom, Eugene raised a brow as he took a step back to see inside a bit more. Did he just see a pair of panties floating by? No, he had to have been just seeing things... Unless there was some sort of invisible mutant in her room.

Eugene blinked, "Gwen is a mutant...? That's kinda... Sexy, being able to turn invisible."

"Mutate dumby..." Gwen muttered to herself as her eyes bored holes into the back of his head. Then her eyes traced back to the window of her room once more, the words he had used to describe the idea putting thoughts in her head.

An invisible Jack, either using his powers for 'evil' such as peeping or even touch her unaware, it made her tingle slightly. She didn't know whether or not to be disgusted by her own thoughts or not. Nervously watched on as Jack had packed her school bag with her clothes.

"Sir," A police officer seemingly made his appearance standing a few feet away from the high schooler. "What are you doing on the Stacy's lawn?"

"I'm uh... I'm Gwen Stacy's boyfriend, Flash Thompson sir!" He held a hand out towards the police officer who snorted at his claim.

Don't get the officer wrong, Flash was a good looker, but his dull brain and antics was known. "Don't you mean Ex-boyfriend?" The Officer knew Captain Stacy and the man's daughter's relationship status or at least up until yesterday.

Eugene's hand fell to his side with a frown across his lips. "What's going on?" His eyes flickered from the officer to the cruiser and then back at him.

"Gwen Stacy and her father were threatened last night due to an ongoing investigation." The Officer looked towards the upstairs window before tilting his head and taking a few steps back to look at the front door. It was partially opened and the doorknob didn't look to be in the best condition. "How long ago was that window opened?"

"Just now."

The officer nodded to the boy before walking towards the front door.

Eugene tensed as a shadow had flown over him and he looked towards the window, it was now closed. His eyes then shifted to look over towards the window of Jack's house, seeing Gwen throwing a backpack over her shoulder.

"What the..."
