A Real Fight 1

Alex led the woman-dog duo behind him to concord, his left hand hidden by a cloak and always touching the handle of the revolver. They made their way through the empty streets, an eerie silence filled the streets.

Alex spotted a slight movement in the corner of his eye, he jumped and rolled behind the cover of a car.

*dink sink dink* the sudden sound of bullets bouncing off of the car replace the previous silence. Nora was fortunately about 5 metres behind Alex so she had enough time to react and hide in the ruins of a two storey shop.

Alex took his Rifle, tilting it over his shoulder and by judging from the direction the bullets came from he fired his rifle once. He then calmly stood up, with the rifle still resting on his shoulder.

Nora: "What the hell do you think you're doing?! You don't know if he's dead or not!" Nora shouted with Dogmeat barking in agreement.

Alex: "Oh, But I do know that he's dead." He replied, with his usual emotionless tone.

Nora: "How?" She asks with her voice still loud, but not shouting, as she realised that she might attract the wrong attention.

Alex: "I.never.miss." He emphasised every word. Nora just snorted back, deciding not to comment, only to be proven right when they made their way to the shooters body.

The shooter was wearing a cloth made mask, with holes only made for eyes-looked like a scarecrow head. The bullet wound was in the centre of his forehead, almost as if Alex didn't even break a sweat. The shooter was also wearing heavy pieces of metal and junk all around his body, acting as some kind of makeshift armour.

Alex: "Nora, let me introduce you to one of the greatest threats in the wasteland: the Raider. These fuckers commit every kind of atrocity imaginable, and then more. Do NOT have mercy on any you encounter, as you will be lucky to live to tell the tale. Coming back in one piece however is nothing short of miracle." He spoke to her as he just stared at the body, releasing massive killing intent.*This is no longer a game. These bastards are real.* He thought to himself.

*bang* Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of gunshots again, this time a little far from them.

Alex: "I believe that the fighting is happening in the west, so we, are heading East" he tells her with a sigh.

Nora: "What if innocent people are involved, or in trouble?" She asks him with an accusatory look in her eyes.

Alex: "Everyone has bad days in their lives, now come on." But before he even finished, Nora and Dogmeat were making their way towards the direction where the gunshots were heard from.

Alex: "Guess that it cant be avoided.... I really didn't want to meet a Deathclaw this early" He was debating his decision for a second, but decided to follow Nora in a slow fashion.

?: "Please! Someone Help us! We are being attacked by raiders! Anybody!" A pleading desperate shout was heard.

As Nora arrived closer to the gunshots, what came into view was a battlefield. Literally. She was hiding in a nearby alleyway and she saw 5 raiders outside a museum, firing at a man wearing what could be called an American Civil War uniform.

Random Raider: "You're days are over, fucker!" Shouted a man with face paint and with a huge body-frame.

Nora was thinking about the choices she had....walk away and live....or...help but most likely die...

Nora: "Ahhh... Fuck this!" She shouted, ran out of the cover and shot towards the raiders. She did have a military background, so she landed most of her shots- killing the closest 2 out of the 5 raiders. Now that the element of surprise is over, a female raider turned her attention towards Nora.

Nora didn't expect for the raider to be so quick, I mean, she wasn't even shocked at the death of her companions. Time slowed down and her entire life flashed through her eyes.*It worth it... trying to help these people... I will not lose my humanity* she was accepting her death at this point.

*bang bang bang* three gunshots were heard behind her, followed by a familiar voice.

"Now, didn't you just completely disregard what I just taught you about being careful" a voice with a hint of anger and relief was heard behind her.

Nora just dropped her head towards the ground in an embarrassed look... if it wasn't for this man... she would have died a foolish death.

Nora: "Th-thank you... Alex..." She forced the words out of her mouth.

Alex: "I would say you're welcome, but that would imply that I did it for free... which I didn't. I expect payment but I don't expect it anytime soon. You really are the worst customer, you know that, don't you doll?" He was standing 2 metres from her, shaking his head at her.

Nora: "Yeh...I know..." were the only words she could come up with right now.

Alex: "Since we did take this job, we might as well finish it... come, let's get inside the museum and help these people." He gestured towards the huge building in front of them, walking ahead of her before coming to a stop to look behind him at her decision.

Nora re-gained her previous confidence, and arrived at his side, clocking her pistol in a 'ready' fashion.
