Alex smashes open the museum double doors, two raiders entering his sight. He disposed of them in an instant, both not knowing what hit them.
Nora followed him closely, looking at the broken floors and anyone hiding in between the floors.
Alex: "Alright, keep your eyes peeled sugar. I've got your back but I gotta be sure you have mine."
Nora: "Don't worry, I've got you covered."
Alex nodded and took a pathway to his right, leading towards a staircase to the upper floors of the museum. He held his hand up in a 'stop' fashion as he heard the mumbling of raiders near the stairs.
He rolled out of his cover, landing in front of the raiders and shot them both at point blank. Blood landed on his clothes and face but didn't faze him one bit.
They made their way toward the upper floors, until a raider hiding behind a broken door managed to surprise them and landed a shot in Nora's right shoulder with a shotgun.
Nora: "ARGH!!" She screamed at the sight of her arm barely attached to her body.
Alex disposed of the raider quickly, and dragged her to cover inside a room.
Alex: "This will take care of it, but it will hurt like shit ok?"
He didn't wait for any reply, removed a huge looking syringe and stabbed her wound. Nora was barely conscious at this point, so the pain didn't really get to her.
Alex: "Don't fall asleep, not yet! Stay awake, for your kid god damnit stay awake!" He knew if she passed out now she wouldn't awaken again.
The words seem to get to her, as she managed to stay conscious for another 10 minutes which was just enough for the arm to look good as new.
Her limit was up, and so she blacked out on the cold wooden floor.
Alex: "Dogmeat take care of her, while I take care of some bastards ok?"
Dogmeat put their beef aside and barked in conformation, making his way to Nora's side. Alex loaded his dual six-shooters and walked out of the room, releasing massive amounts of killing intent.
Alex: "one, two, three..." Alex spotted the shadows and silhouettes of six raiders hiding behind pillars and corners.
Six coins were tossed each in a separate direction, followed by six gunshots and soon enough six thuds which signalled six deaths.
Alex: "Damn I'm good." He blew the smoke of the revolver and climbed up the stairs of the museum to the room where he knew Preston and his crew was located in.
He knocked twice but got no response.
Alex: "Yo, I'm one of the helpers you saw outside. Minuteman looking guy, open the fuck up I need a place for my injured friend to rest!"
Some chattering was held on the other side of the door, until it was opened slowly. Preston Garvey was eying the gunslinger with his laser musket pointed at Alex's chest. Noticing that it was not a raider, he sighed in relief and put his weapon down.
Preston: "We are so glad for your help, bring your friend in here quick."
Alex left to where Nora was sleeping, lifted her with both his arms and made his way back to the safe-room.
Once inside, the rest of Preston's group eyed the masked individual but their suspicion soon fell once they saw the injured woman in his hands. Anyone that has someone they care about in this shit-hole of a world, is worthy of a chance to be trusted.
Alex placed Nora on the couch, and now has his attention turned to Preston and the group.
Alex: "I know there are more raiders outside, but don't worry because I'll take care of them. Help is of course appreciated by the ones who could fight." His eyes on Preston in particular.
Preston: "I'll help you, but my friend Sturges over here has an idea. He thinks that with the power armour on-"
He was cut off by Alex who raised his hand.
Alex: "I won't use any power armour since my fighting style requires a more nimble approach."
Preston was a bit unsure at the moment, but having seen the aftermath of Alex's battles he knew how well Alex could fair in a gun-fight. He was eternally thankful that he was on their side.
Preston: "Alright, let us get to the roof then where we can hold our ground."
Alex tilted his hat at Preston's words and both of them made their way to the roof of the museum.
Preston took cover behind the ledge of the roof, while Alex was smoking a cigar he bought from the shop and spinning his revolvers.
Preston: "You know, I'm sure you've got a fair share of battles but too much confidence will get you killed."
Alex shrugged his shoulders, placed the revolvers back in their holsters and took the rifle off his back.
*BANG*
Preston didn't know why Alex suddenly took a shot, but soon enough could see the body of a heavily armoured raider fall from behind the brick wall of a ruined cafe.
*BANG BANG*
Two consecutive were heard this time, and another two bodies dropped but this time they were both headless.
Alex: "I'll give you the chance to walk away, and so you will be spared if you do so. You've got thirty seconds!"
Preston was left wide-eyed at the next scene-roughly 10 raiders left their cover in a hurry with all running as fast as they could.
What happened next however shocked him even more, making his hands tremble a little.
*bang bang bang*
Alex placed his rifle down, and unholstered his six shooters, firing bullet after bullet. When no raider was left standing he blew off the smoke, taking a deep puff from his cigar.
Preston: "You said that they get to live if they surrender... why did you kill them?" He narrowed his eyes at Alex for the scene he left.
Alex: "Words are just empty shells to people like them, believe me. You think I'll just let them walk and continue their purging and killing?"
Though he seemed intimidating he had a passive look on his face, which pissed off Preston even more. Though the latter decided to just stay silent.
Preston turned his back to Alex, walking back inside the museum until...
*ROAR*
