Wilson, an architect, discovers a dead body wearing nothing but just a pair of an antique pair of glasses, the kinds having no ear pieces for support.
Lord Edward Cunnings, who is a highly respected man has lately taken up investigation as his favourite hobby. He takes up this case, and is determined to solve this mystery, privately.
The official investigation of the case is being leaded by Inspector Charles, who believes the man could be the famous financier Sir Smith Lee, who had disappeared under mysterious circumstances the night before.
