True Enemy Strength

Everyone except him doesn't realize what's his true motive. Even the commander believe in his simple words without thinking further.
Actually, he's kinda scared about their move now. If the enemy they are facing looks impossible to defeat, he will be the one who will run away first.
Behind the ace helmet, he wryly smiled at himself. Kinda regret his act before. But whatever will be will be. He cannot draw his words.
"Shall we go now?"
The commander ask to all of his squad. Especially at the ace who looks really want to assault the castle.
"Why not" the ace answer simply.
With just that the commander start taking cues to run.
All of the squad do the same as the commander. Take a stand start position.
"Ok, let's" that's the cue before running, "– go!"
All of the squad start running. With their armor in used they ran like a pro.
After running one hundred meter and will meet with the edge of the roof, they do a big jump.
The jump made them reach half the distance from the building and castle. Some of them do superman style when they get to the ground. Some of them rolling once to relieve the pain.
"Wouw, that was quite tense"
"Damn right!"
"I don't wanna do that again though"
"Don't be a coward, dude"
"Ha ha ha, complain about what you can complain about now! Maybe you can't do that tomorrow"
"Don's say that, commander!"
Everyone seems have their own feeling about what just happen. Some of them won't talk about it though.
"Dude!"
Six approach Ganang when they began to walk to the castle.
"What do you think about the thing that inside that castle? Hmm, what is it called?"
"Asura if I'm not wrong"
"Asura, eh"
Before it Six rejected to come, he might don't want to talk about it. But know he seems curious.
"Are you curious?"
"Well, we come to face it without any information except their name. Of course I'm curious"
For an ordinary Adetya like them, information about Asura is limited except they just getting informed about the name of the boss in the wave. It is Asura.
Though they have heard about it power which can destroy the borderlane building, and the one who can face and defeat them is only Adetya Sterling.
Adetya type that stronger than them. They are humans who come from earth too. But their relationship with this world is more intimated that they can be trusted with greater strength.
They have heard if Adetya Sterling is a chosen one. Chosen from one squad like them now.
"Do you also have a guess..."
Six wake up Ganang when he focused to walk.
"..if the ace trying to get the ticket to be Adetya Sterling?"
"Well, he is indeed an ace. So, why complaining about that? Do you want to be the one too?"
With Ganang suggestion Six waving his right hand.
"Nah, I already satisfied with my current condition. All I want now is to get back home and give my gf a special gift"
"Huh, what a happy guy"
"We arrived, soldied"
When Six and Ganang feels to stop their conversation, the commander stopped the squad feet when they arrived before a really long and high stairs. Some of them even
"What the hell with the height?"
"From the start I know it's very high, but still, ukh"
"Does every castle do have stairs as high as this?"
"Get your mouth shut, soldier! If you have time to complain, then start walk this stairs!"
That's a simple command come from the commander, but all of his squad do that quietly. Shut their mouth and start climbing up the stairs.
The commander walk first in the front. Followed by his squad behind.
The stairs are really long, but the seriousness of the entire squad makes their trip feel short. They unconsciously reached the end. Welcomed by two statues of spear knight.
The statues is twice as big as them. Looks alive when they look at them.
"That's quite a creepy one"
"It won't be funny if they can really move"
"Shut the fvck up and be focus, soldie. We have a boss fight in there"
All of them made to the peak of the stairs. Arrived directly in the throne room of the castle.
"Throne room?"
The commander glanced throughout the room. Found out if the room is not just ordinary throne room.
From their position to the end of the room, a looking nice red carped with pictures of ornaments of knights in it. In the end of the red carped there is a empty seat of the throne.
All the way to the throne seat there are eight statues of spear knight. Four each side.
The commander first to see them all and calculate if, "There are ten of them"
"But where is the boss?"
One of the squad beside him asked the same think.
They began to walk inside as they can't feel a threat. There is nothing to worry for now.
They enter to the palace and investigate the scene. Looking for every information they can gain. Even if they can't meet with the boss, they just have to let the pro to finish the job.
They reach the middle of the room. When they feel the statue looks hostile, the fear of imaginating being ganged by those giant statues kinda feels real.
"Oi, Ace, what do you think you gonna do?"
One of them realize that the ace is looking strange and walk to the throne seat.
"What, I'm just looking" he said with casual voice.
Though his squad feels really nervous about his doing. The commander stop them.
"Wait and let see what's gonna happen. If things get worse we are the one who will run first" said the commander.
The ace heard commander words and feel guilty if he who will be the one who can run away first. Because the throne seat located above ten stairs from the floor.
That means he have the higher ground. In that place, if the boss come or every statues in the scene began to move, he will jump from the throne seat to reach the exit. That was his run away plan.
The ace reach the throne seat floor and looking carefully to the seat. Then he looking back at his curious-about-what's-gonna-happen squad.
At first he was a little hesitant to do what he wanted to do. But lust overtook him and made him occupy the seat of the throne.
The squad and him get ready to run away if something gonna happen. But nothing happened.
"Wuuhh, I think I might die at the moment you have a sit on there"
The commander finally complained about the situation. The rest of the squad feels safe because nothing gonna happen nevertheless. But,
"Watch out!"
The moment one of the squad step closer to the statue to lean back, the statue closer to him began to move and swang his lance. The ace above them know what's gonna happen but that was too late.
The first victim down.
All of the squad senses all of the statues inside began to move.
The ace finally realize that was a delay if the statues not move at the moment he take a sit. They let them feels safe at first, then when they were careless they began to attack.
"Prepare your weapon, soldier!"
The eight of the statue inside surrounded the rest of the squad. The ace inside realize one more thing. Looking back at the first victim who was being crushed only with the statue strength,
"There is no hope for us"
He suddenly jumped from his stand to the exit. To only find the stairs is nowhere to be found.
"What the – "

There is no hope for us.
I surely know that when I look at the first victim who was being crushed by only the strength of the statue. I was closer to the first victim but I didn't realize before the ace screaming.
"Ready your weapon, soldier!"
I took out my gun after commander instruction. Facing stone with sword would be useless at this time.
My alertness increased sharply considering how much our enemy strength. Looking at every enemy move they made.
"ACE!"
The commander shout out at ace who have already jumped from the throne seat to the exit.
He made his way out by using his position. But when he just only before the stairs, he suddenly stopped. In the next instant, the statue right beside him begin to move. Lift up it lance only using one hand and piercing the ace left chest.
"AAAaaaAaAaaAA!"
The statue lift up his lance with the ace on it.
The ace holding on at the lance with his right. Then just like a toy, the statue swing his lance with the ace on it, and thrown off the ace back to our position.
The commander accept ace body and catch it.
There is a quite big hole in ace left chest.
"Are you alright, soldier!?"
The commander called at the very sick of him. We can't see his face but he must feels really hurt by that wound.
"He won't make it out"
We won't make it out I think. But I can't easily say that at this moment. Moreover there is my beloved one who wait for my homecoming.
"Don't let your guard down, soldier! If all of us can't make it out, at least one of us must get out from this place and report to the headquarters!"
I again increase my hostility. Positioning my shield in front of my face and put my gun in front of the statue that coming to me.
I walked slowly a few step ahead. When I was in attack distance, the statue begin piercing. I manage to hold that attack and shot my gun to counter.
The shot only make a minor damage. But that doesn't mean I have to give up.
I step aside to have a better view. The statue run and swang his lance vertically. I looked down to the side and ran a few steps. In the next instant I looked aside and shot a few shoot to the statue head.
I think I made a good battle. But after I feel confident about my ability. Six called out.
"Gan! Hel - !"
I see from not far away, Six head was pierced. The same thing is happened too to the rest of the squad.
I was stunned with the view of our massacre. Yet before I let the statue in front of me made a move, the commander scream at me.
"Get out of here, soldier!"
Just after his words, a phenomenon of suicide bombing occurs. That's made for only me who wasn't get hurt from battle and still fresh to go on.
The commander's sacrifice gave me the opportunity to run away.
I threw my gun and started running. When two of the remain statue block the exit, I jumped quite high that made me succed passing them.
The rest of it just to down the stairs. But when the thing I want to see is nowhere to be found, I began to fall down. When I think I will only have to hold a foot break, something is piercing my stomach. I fell with my stomach in front because of the burden that pushed me.
My stomach was piercing and the thing that piercing me pushed me hardly fall to the ground. Even though I can't feel anything anymore, I don't know why but I'm really scared. .
With severe wounds languishing in my stomach, I can't quite see well. However I can feel the ground is getting closer and –
