It's crazy to think how much time has passed, I never really knew how much I changed until I looked back at it. No one really does, you kind of just realise one day. I mean stop and really think about it, look at all you been through. Years have passed and you've become a person that the old you wouldn't recognize.
Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is in the eye of the beholder. I started this life with so many people by my side, now it seems like so many of them are gone. Many left me but I lost so many more to the depths of time, or the cruelty of fate. Through a shot of liquor, or a shot through the heart.
Life is crazy, I keep thinking I am stuck in the past when I'm not even really looking at it. I've been witness to the change of many people. I've seen boys become men, girls become women, and everything in between. All the children I once knew are gone, they all grew up.
All the tragedies we live through, all the records that have been made, the moments in history that will be written down in the records of time. Think about everything that's happened, people think life's too short but In such a short amount of time I've seen the world change. It seems as if life's rushing by on a bullet train, yet at the same time everything's moving in slow motion.
Everyone's caught up in how they should live life, "You should live in the present", "Stop living in the past." , "Don't worry about the future" yet it's never been about time. It's about your actions, you should be living all things simultaneously in balance. You have to look into the past to see where you're going, You have to plan out your route to get where you want to go, but at the same time you can't let those blind you.
It's like driving a car, first you need to know where you are. That's point A, It's your past. You need to get to point B, which is your future. You constantly have to know where you are, but you also need to know where you're going. At the same time you can't get too distracted with directions because you have to pay attention to the road, that's your present.
When you're young of course it's gonna be difficult to drive for the first time, you've never done it before.
You don't have any experience, hell getting the car drive smoothly forward seems like a challenge. With time and patience you get the hang of it. You'll drive on this road, you pick up some people along the way. Some people are just faces passing quickly by, some are just here to hitch a ride.
So I stop worrying so much about how to live your life, you'll get the hang of it. Just give it some time.
