Sarah looked terrified at the pleading Lieutenant Victor. Despite being miles apart, her skill [hawk eyes] allowed her to see everything.

Her mastery of the art of lip reading helped her understand. She knew clearly what happened.

They have been betrayed.

Instead of feeling sorry for Lieutenant Jeffrey and Lieutenant Victor, she felt anger and disgust.

Her stomach started to act funny like she was about to throw up.

'Aren't we supposed to serve the people?' She thought 'How can someone sacrifice their own kind just to save themselves.'

Sarah started to doubt everything she did so far, all the people that sacrifice their life believing that it was for the common good.

'Is it worth it or are we just pawns?'

But as she was fighting moral distress, she felt everything went cold.

"What?" she was so startled that she almost fell down.

It wasn't long before she found that the one called Mongul was looking at her.

His whole body is painted red, covered with Lieutenant Jeffrey and Lieutenant Victor inside.

Just being stared at by Mongul makes Sarah so terrified that she leaves everything behind and hides.

'How did it see me?' Sarah thought to herself, her whole body shaking.

The eyes of Mongul and his sinister smile still follows Sarah everytime she closes her eyes.

"We need to get out of here." She said, quickly contacting the others

Emmanuel and the gang enter the tower.

He was the most tankiest person here so it was only fair that he stood in front. Arthur is also closely following behind him, ready to act if anything did happen.

And as for Sergeant Jessie and Ron they are still in a daze from losing a squad member so they were reassigned to the useless club with Lucy and Vanya.

Until now Arthur is pestering Lucy to try and get them out of here but the latter still remains unable to use her skill.

'I guess we have to give up teleporting out of here' Arthur thought

At this moment Sarah's voice rings in their heads.

[You all have to get out of there fast, the whole mission is a sham from the start. The army didn't want us to kill the orc archer, they wanted to broker a deal with the one arm monster and were only the gifts.]

[Slow down, Sarah this can't be true, you must be mistaken] Lucy said, In everyone present she was the most devoted to the army. She was an orphan of war and the army is the only family she knew. She was a firm believer of it and what it stood for.

[I know what you feel sister but it was the truth, I would not lie to you so please get out of there, abandon the mission.]

[No!] Lucy protested, she fell to the ground crying. Deep in her heart she already knew that sometimes the army did unconventional things but she just chose to ignore it.

She tries to convince herself that everything the army does is for a noble cause.

Hearing their sister sobs, Sarah and Vanya didn't say anything they knew that the army means the world to their sister and her world just crumbles.

At this moment Arthur walk in front of Lucy, everyone though that he was there to comfort her but what Arthur done is the opposite

"Pak!" With an expressionless face he slapped her on the cheek.

"I hurt to break it to you but we have no time for this, below us there is a monster that can kill us using nothing but his finger and above us there is someone that sees us as no more than an experience point"

"Plus didn't we already know that this mission is already a failure and choose to abandon it? So what's the difference."

"Better pull yourself together. I would not be your prince charming because I can't. It's either you save yourself or die"

"Let's go" Arthur said, looking at Emmanuel..

Everyone felt sympathy for Lucy but did not say anything, in their heart they know Arthur is right

Emmanuel also remained silent and just followed behind him.

"Go on, I'll stay with Sister Lucy," Vanya said resoluting herself.

Lucy however, pushes her away and withdraws a gun in her inventory. "No, I'm fine let's move"

[Guys the one arm monster is already aware of my position, I wouldn't be able to provide you support anymore. Promise me you all would survive this] Sarah said worriedly.

[We heard you kid just stay hidden, we would make it out alive. Don't worry] Arthur said

[You're the kid assh*le, just promise me you will keep my sister alive.]

Hearing Sarah, Arthur remained silent and didn't reply

[Are we sure about this Arthur?] Emmanuel asked, looking at their team.

Beside him and Arthur there is no one here in shape to fight the orc archer.

[We had no choice, we will have to carry everyone] Arthur said solemnly.

When they were about to reach the top Arthur stopped.

"Before we continue I want all of you to listen to me. Based on what I saw, we can't beat the monster outside even if there's hundreds of us so if we want to have a chance to get out of here alive. We have to capture the Orc archer and use it as a bargaining chip for our lives."

Hearing that they would not kill the orc archer Ron protested. "What the f*ck are you talking about? We have to take revenge for what they did to Ran"

Arthur didn't want to waste time sugar coating his words and quickly withdrew his katana "If you want to see your friend so much, I wouldn't mind killing you right now." He said glaring at Ron

"You-" Ron was about to explode in anger when Sergeant Jessie stopped him.

"Stop! his right, we can only avenge what happened to Ran if we're alive"

Ron chuckled sarcastically "hahaha and how are we going to do that, killing is one thing but capturing it will be different, we will all die"

Arthur's face remains expressionless. He put his katana back into his inventory and said "You don't have to do anything, you will stay here and protect Vanya and Lucy. Only me and Emmanuel will be dealing with the orc archer"

"So you are sidelining us?!" Ron roar

"Yeah, to tell you the truth, you're nothing more than baggage to us"

Hearing Arthur's insults, Ron's body started to grow bigger, his veins started to valge. He is now as big as an Ombakti. "I can't take this anymore! First you tell me not to get revenge and now you want to sideline me. You're not the boss of me!" He roar

Seeing all of this Arthur just shakes his head and this infuriates Ron even more.

"You bastard!" Ron shove Sergeant Jessie aside and threw a punch at Arthur using his enlarged arm.

"Haay" Arthur sight.

As Ron's fist was about to hit Arthur's body, it banished.

Using mana argumentation in his legs Arthur arrived on top of Ron. Changing the flow of his mana to augment his arm. He grabs Ron by the head and shoves him to the ground.

"Booom" The whole tower shook as Ron's head got planted to the ground.

Seeing this, everyone stared in shock at Arthur's ruthlessness.

Arthur ignore them and look at Emmanuel "Let's go"

Emmanuel immediately follows but as they walk he sees a smile creeping on Arthur's face.

Seeing this Emmanuel face twitch 'F*cking show off'
