Is it a Sweet Dream or Nightmare?
His face lean closer towards her, his eye were full of love and passion. When their lips almost touch, she heard her mother was calling her name. "Xixi, Xixi" She turned around to find her mother but to her surprise, she wasn't there. When she turned back, Bai Hao Yun was gone as well. She was horrified and panicked. "Chen Xixi, wake up!!!!" her mother screamed.
Chen Xixi sat up straight after hearing Lin Ai Yu. Thank's god,it was a dream! A weird dream. What was she even thinking about? She looked at her phone, it was still early so she had her breakfast before going to work.
She arrived 15 minutes in advance to avoid getting picked by the devil again. "Not bad. You're on time today." Bai Hao Yun spoke as he was reading documents without glancing at her. She was startled upon hearing his voice. He wasn't even looking at her. "Does he has extra eyes growing on his back" she murmured. Even though she was speaking with a low volume, it's loud enough for him to heard her. "Look!" He showed her his computer screen. She could saw her reflection from the dark screen. That was so embarrassing she wished that she could dig a hole to hide her face. "Now, buy me a cup of coffee." he demanded. She obeyed his instructions and went to the cafe nearby. Damn! He didn't told her what type of coffee does he like. So she just randomly chose a cup of Americano without sugar for him and bought herself a cup of Caramel Macchiato. She loves the aromatic combination of caramel, espresso and steamed milk with a hint of vanilla. After the coffees were done, she happily went back to the company holding a cup of Caramel Macchiato on her left hand and a cup of Americano on her right. The fragrance of the Caramel Macchiato was so strong and tempting that she couldn't wait to savour it.
Bai Hao Yun saw Chen Xixi was back with two cups of coffee. He forgot to tell her that he don't like the bitter taste of Americano. His nostrils were filled with the tempting aroma of caramel and espresso. When Chen Xixi stretched her right hand towards Bai Hao Yun, he refused to accept the coffee but reached his hand towards the coffee Chen Xixi was holding on her left hand. His face was filled with delight meanwhile Chen Xixi let go of the coffee of her hand reluctantly and her facial expression turned gloomy. It was her cup of coffee but she couldn't fight with her boss.
She brought her cup of Americano to the pantry and added a lot of sugar and creamer to lighten the bitterness of the coffee. She was thinking of torturing her boss with the bitterness of the coffee that she requested for extra espresso shot but why did her action ended up backfiring herself. The coffee was still bitter even after she mixed it with sugar and creamer. Seeing her boss constantly stirring and sipping his coffee with a face full of enjoyment in-front of her was really annoying. How she wished that she could smack him for taking her coffee.
It was lunch time, she went to a cafe nearby and texted Lina Tnay to come and accompany her. Lina arrived 10 minutes after receiving her text. "Hey, it's such a rare occasion for me to get invited for lunch by young Miss Chen, what's up today?" teased Lina. "Just eat. I'm not really in a mood today. That devil took my coffee away and I was forced to drink his. Urgh!! I can still taste the bitterness of the coffee in my mouth." Chen Xixi complained. Lina laughed upon hearing her laments and they chatted until their lunch break was almost over then went back to their workplace respectively.
[Two weeks later]
Chen Xixi birthday was just around the corner. It was two days left before her 21st birthday or the day she was supposed to get engaged with Bai Hao Yun. She resigned her job to avoid the man and decided to work at her father's company. She was having a headache because she can't imagine her life as his fiancee or his wife. Meanwhile, Bai Hao Yun had no opinion about the engagement. He was too immersed in his work that he doesn't had the energy to think about anything else. He would just followed his parents arrangements will since he doesn't seems to have any interest in other women as well.
