Shining through the clear window, the sunlight shone down on her as she laid there, sleeping. The time was past eight in the morning and lying there on the pink bedding, she continued sleeping, ignoring the sun that kept on shining brightly through the curtains.
Despite being a founder of the biggest fashion brand and earning billions every year, she was still human. Even if she was famous for being a fashionista and all over the news, she was not just a figurehead. She was also a human with moods and emotions.
This was clearly demonstrated by her behavior of not wanting to get out of bed. She hated getting out of bed every day and only wished that the day could be longer so she could sleep more without missing out on anything important to her or to feel guilty for sleeping long hours, such as the past twelve hours of sleep that she loved.
Wanting to sleep a lot more, she covered her head with the baby pink colored blanket and turned away from the window.
Before she could even continue going back to sleep though, Qin Xifeng opened the guest bedroom door and called out, "Boss! Please get up! It's time for you to work!"
"Let me sleep more," she whined.
With a face full of difficulties, Qin Xifeng shouted again, "It's past eight o'clock already!"
"Just eight… Wake me up at nine," she complained.
"Boss, do you want to be late to work again," Qin Xifeng asked. "You've already been late to work for the past three months! Any more and people might start copying you!"
"Sigh… Fine," she said getting up from bed in a groggy state with her eyes still closed.
Sighing at the person who was her boss, Qin Xifeng told her, "Boss, I've prepared breakfast for you. It's some quick noodles, Szechwan chili chicken with brown pepper, red chilies, ginger, green chilies, and white pepper. There are also some spring rolls, too."
"Okay, thanks," she thanked Qin Xifeng.
Before going to the bathroom to wash up though, she said, "Qin Xifeng, we have sworn as sisters now. Stop calling me boss during private times. Call me on a first name basis or Hua Hua. I will also call you on a first-name basis."
Finished saying her part, she left Qin Xifeng to stand at the entrance of the guest bedroom by herself as she left to the bathroom to wash up.
As for Qin Xifeng, she could only think, "Boss, I really don't want people to stampede me… Sigh… I really want to cry."
----------
Leaving Qin Xifeng's apartment complex, she got into her car and drove back to her penthouse. By now, it was past nine and she was sure that everyone should have left her place by now. In fact, she did not really care about them trashing her place.
She just wanted to go back to grab her important documents such as identification cards, passport, and wallet. Other than that, she did not want to go back to the penthouse that was leaked out by her own brother. Especially when it was Cao Yang who he leaked it to.
It was a good thing that she never left any of her sketches in her penthouse or else it would take too much effort to move. Her sketches were too important to be thrown away or abandoned. As for the clothes that she already made, she did not care about it as it was not too hard to create another copy.
It was impossible to create a carbon copy, but it was not hard to make the same outfit with the same material considering that she was rich.
Driving for about thirty minutes, she finally reached the basement level parking lot and parked her red Acura NSX.
However, if she knew what awaited her, she would probably not have cared about her current items and just left to go live in Qin Xifeng's apartment as she waited for a new copy of her identification card, passport, and canceled her current bank cards while waiting for the new bank cards to be mailed to her.
After leaving the elevator on the top floor, she got her keys and unlocked the door.
To her surprise, the penthouse was not in a trashy state at all and was left sparkly clean. It would seem that Cao Yang had enough common sense to call in cleaners for their mess.
Ignoring the rest of the rooms, she went straight to her bedroom. All her important documents were in her bedroom. Though she had an office, she rarely used it.
If she had work left, she would finish it at the company and stay overtime to finish them. For any confidential documents, she would keep the original copy in a safe in the office of her company in which no one else but her who knew the passcode. Even her brother did not know the code, which she was happy with.
Of course, in her house, since she never worked in the office, she kept all of her documents in her room, close to her.
Once opening her bedroom door, she saw that there was someone who was still there. She had thought that everyone already left, but went she took a closer look, it was Cao Yang. The man was sleeping on her bed and there were clothes, panties, and all her private things on the bed, floor, and anywhere else they could land on.
She was really happy to have left her penthouse yesterday. If she had not known, she would not have been able to guess that the person who drugged her orange juice was Cao Yang. There were too many perverts at the party last night, so she really could not guess who.
Thankfully, her parents trained her from young to be resistant to aphrodisiacs, drugs, or any type of poisons.
As for Cao Yang who was lying on her bed, she would make sure he suffered hugely for trying to damage in the same way he had those other girls. If it had been any other girl, he would stay outdoors, but since he wanted a death wish so badly by targeting her, she would make sure to grant it.
Walking with silent footsteps, she went to the hidden compartment in the hallway, unlocked it using her thumbprint, and got out an incense stick that she had personally made. She never thought that she would ever have to use it in this life, but it seemed that she would have to now because of her own legal brother.
Going back into her room, she lighted the incense and placed it in its holder. After that, she went to the entrance of the penthouse and called a military friend that she had made a long time ago.
After two rings, the man finally answered.
With an elderly voice, he asked, "Xiao Hua, what's the matter? You never call this old man!"
"I'm sorry, Elder. Um… Elder, do you remember when you asked me about the drug activities that happened behind the scenes," she asked.
With an exciting yet surprised voice, he inquired, "You found the person behind it? Who is it?"
"Elder, don't get anxious. He won't run away," she calmed the old man.
"Sorry, sorry, Xiao Hua. It's just that the person who deals with these drug lines are too sneaky," the elderly man said in frustration.
Giving a slight chuckle, she informed the old man, "Elder, that person you want is currently sleeping on my bed. I will send my address to you. As for his criminal record, I happened to have a friend who found it. When your team comes, I'll give you the USB."
"Okay. Thank you very much, Xiao Hua. You have no idea how helpful you are. Sigh… The military has missed out on a talented soldier," the elderly man reminisced.
"Not at all. There will be more talented people in the future. Also, I hate the strictness of the military. I would be kicked out before even ranking up. Well, Elder, I shall say my goodbyes now," she said her goodbye.
Before the old man could even say goodbye back to her, she had already ended the call to text him her address. She knew that the old man was curious about why she was willing to share her personal information when she was always hiding everything about herself but he did not ask out of courtesy when he heard that Cao Yang was on her bed.
In fact, it was all Qiao Guangli and Cao Yang's fault that she was now moving out of a place she spent a long time searching for. Finding places to live was hard. Not only did you have to find an environment you were comfortable with, but you also had to find it an area that was accessible to all types of locations such as malls, work company, or grocery stores.
In bitterness, she heaved a heavy sigh and went back inside the penthouse and entered her room once again. This time, instead of being on guard and walking in silence, she just proceeded to grab her important documentations and wallet and left everything else.
Aside from that, she wanted to make sure that the effects of the incense were there, so she kicked Cao Yang really hard in a spot that would hurt but not bruise or show damage exteriorly.
When she kicked him, his body moved and he groaned in pain.
