General

Despite kicking so hard that he would probably have to go to the hospital, he did not wake up at all. With that certain, she knew that the effects of the incense had taken place.

Anything that she made would always be a masterpiece and she always made sure of it. As a woman who was always interested in knowing everything, she took it upon herself to learn of the many things on Earth or this planet. She was not only talented in fashion designing and styling but also talented in the scientific area and has done many things behind the scenes to help out humanity.

Though she found that the human race did not deserve to advance, she also cared for those few human beings that were kind to others and charitable. Not everyone was unworthy as she thought, so she would only try to help in the name of those few beings that did not seek heavy greed or destroy themself.

Being proficient in chemistry and alchemy, she used her knowledge of Chinese techniques and made and incense stick that would make people sleep deeply. The incense had lavender which was effective in calming anxious nerves and facilitating sleep. It also had chamomile that could be considered as a mild tranquilizer.

There was also a magnolia bark that promoted better sleep. Aside from those herbs, there was also valerian root was added to boost relaxation and blue skullcap that had a calming effect on an agitated person and quell anxiety.

The more relaxed a person was, the more deeply asleep they were. Of course, the plus was also that she added an unhealthy amount of magnolia bark with induced a very strong form of sleep that would be hard to wake up from.

The amount she put would be enough to kill a person, but she created this incense to kill others anyways, so she did not care.

There was still a lot of time before the military men would come, so she decided to find a real estate agent to get a new house. She was the pickiest person in what kind of place she wanted so it would take lots of time. Since she knew that, whatever free time she had, she would make sure to use it to search for a living space.

This time, she did not want anyone to know where she lived, so she called Qin Xifeng once again.

With only one ring, Qin Xifeng already answered and her voice came out strictly, "Boss, where are you? Why are you not at work?"

"I'm at home. Xifeng, go search for available apartments and send me a list of them. When I've chosen one, it will be under your name," she said, ignoring the strict questions that Qin Xifeng asked.

Qin Xifeng really did not expect her boss to ignore her questions and just go straight off into ordering her to do things.

"Boss, why do you want to get an apartment under my name," Qin Xifeng asked curiously.

"I'm selling the penthouse," she answered.

"I mean I know that… But… Why my name," Qin Xifeng muttered out curiously.

"If I don't have a place under my name, no one will know where I live," she answered the question that Qin Xifeng muttered.

"Does it have to be under my name," Qin Xifeng asked wryly.

"Yes," she affirmed.

"Why me," Qin Xifeng continued asking.

"Because you are the only one I trust currently," she answered. "Of course, if you don't want it under your name, we can put it under Ren Lei's name."

"Uh… No need! We'll use my name," Qin Xifeng immediately rejected.

In Qin Xifeng's thoughts, she said, "Lei is so poor since buying our apartment now… How can I let the apartment be under his name when his bank has basically nothing. At least my bank has over sixty million yuan…"

"Please prepare the list for me by tomorrow. This takes first priority. For any other projects, you can push them aside," she ordered.

"Yes… I understand," Qin Xifeng sighed.

Ending the phone call, she walked to the front of the building complex. The elder did not know where she left and she did not want to confuse the military men. Besides, she wanted to be a good host for them.

----------

After moving back and forth between the lobby of the building and the front entrance, she finally saw the grayish-green military vehicles. There were three of them and as they came closer, she could distinct how many soldiers were in each one.

In the first one, there were six men and in the last one, there were four men. The one in the middle only had two. The only person she recognized being the elder she called earlier who was sitting on the passenger side of the middle vehicle.

After waiting for a few seconds, the vehicles finally came to a stop at the front entrance and the elder came out to greet her.

"Xiao Hua! It's been so long," the elderly man excitedly greeted loudly.

"Yes, it has," she followed along with him.

"Men! This young lady you see here is a leading example of who you should try to reach or surpass," he exclaimed.

"Eh? This lady? General, we've never seen her before. If she is as great as you say, she should be quite famous," one of the lieutenants said.

"Sigh… This lady here is too good at avoiding eyes," the general said in reverence. "No matter how much I tried to find this lady to recruit her, I could never find her."

"General, if it was so, we would not be here," one of the captains said.

"I only found her because she allowed me too," he exclaimed in frustration. "This lady here has no respect towards elders in the least."

"I apologize," she apologized with a flat tone.

"Look! Look," the general shouted to point out her disrespect.

Heaving a sigh, she asked, "General, do you still want the man or no?"

"Of course I do," he answered adamantly.

To him, that damn person was a criminal that should be chopped up into pieces and fed to the dogs. He has been on the run for so long that everyone in the top ranks wanted to torture that bastard.

"Then, follow me please," she politely said.

While she was in the elevator with the general, his driver, and the group of majors, they started to ask her questions in interest.

"Hey, we never got your name," one of the major asked her.

"Li Hua," she answered.

Hearing her name, the general remarked, "Scoff, it's not even her real name. For god damn's sake, it's a freaking alias."

The majors stared at her in shock. They thought that she would give them her real name.

In her defense, she said, "A real hero must stay hidden from the eyes of the public."

"Dung," the general yelled in anger. "Xiao Hua, I dare you to say that again! Who doesn't know your name!"

"They may know my name, but they do not know my deeds," she said.

"If you really want people to not know your name, join the army," the general shouted in frustration while trying to recruit.

"I don't want to," she refused straightforwardly.

"You won't even give this old man face," the general sighed. "Since becoming a general, the only person to ever show me so much disrespect has only been you, Xiao Hua."

"I am proud to have become that person then," she remarked. "That way you won't have a heart attack when someone else other than me disrespects you."

"Are you wanting this old man to die," the general asked dramatically.

"Elder, you won't die. Looking at your physical body, you are the fittest sixty-seven old man I've seen or known. Otherwise, how could you remain in the army," as though to anger him even more, she said.

Listening to her, the elder just shut up, not wanting to raise his blood pressure from anger. This always happened every time they talked. He was afraid that he might really have to go to the hospital if he focused on her words too much.

Once reaching her floor, she opened her front door and waited for the other group of six men to make it to her floor. Once the entire group was there, she finally led all of them to her bedroom.

To the soldiers, everything looked and seemed fine, but once reaching her bedroom door, they started to look at her weird.

In her defense, she said, "This bastard held a party in my place and decided to sleep on my bed while thinking that I fell to the pathetic efforts of his drug."

Still giving her weird stare, one of the soldiers said, "Miss Hua, that does not explain much but only put you in a guilty state."

Giving out a sigh, she said, "My brother leaked my address and my birthday to Cao Yang. The man then decided to hold a birthday party in my place without me knowing."

"You could have rejected," one of the soldiers said.

"I was going to, but when my brother called me to inform that there were going to be people coming to celebrate my birthday, I allowed it," she told the soldier.

With that sentence, the soldiers then knew how she thought then. It was not too hard.

Opening her bedroom door, the general received a shock at seeing who it was. The reason why was that he knew who that person was.

The man who was laying on her bed was the son of a close friend of his.
