In shock, he asked in a trembling voice, "Xiao Hua, the person who's behind those drug deals in the black market is Xiao Yang?"
"Do you not believe me, elder," she asked him with a glint on her eyes.
"It's not that I don't believe, but that I am too scared," the general admitted.
"Why scared? Because his father is your superior," she emphasized with a questioning tone.
"Sigh… This is… Just too… I really have no words," the general spoke in speechlessness.
"I also could not believe it," she said. "At first, I merely researched on him because I've known that he's had his eyes on me, but after discovering the cases of the other young girls…"
"Young girls," the general asked.
"Those young ladies are unlucky to have fallen to his lowly techniques," she said. "However, to continue on with what I was saying. I got a friend of mine to hack into his computer. Please do not worry though. That friend of mine was a police officer and the task assigned to you guys was also assigned to them."
"Then, why did you not ask them but instead us," one of the lieutenants asked.
"Since he already knew who the man was, he was going to arrest him. But Cao Yang's identity is too special so his captain forced him to not report or file it," she informed them.
Every soldier was in shock. Though they did not know who the Cao Yang was, they knew who the general's superior was. To be the man's son, Cao Yang would not be living so badly, so why would he decide to go into the drug business line?
Another question they asked was, were they really going to be able to arrest Cao Yang? This person was a person with a really big identity and they did not want to be punished or be dishonorably discharged.
To have been a soldier, you sacrificed your livelihood and they were afraid that it would take a long time for them to adapt to civil life.
"Are you guys scared," she asked.
Though they were not showing it on their faces, she could still tell by their silent reactions. Cao Yang was indeed a very important person's son. However, to her, she did not care.
She was merely trying to be nice to that person for once having saved her. If not for that, she would long have tortured the bastard Cao Yang and make sure that he remains in the pits of hell till the day he died. She was not a nice person and never would be.
Her life's experiences taught her to be cruel and only nice to the people that truly were loyal to her. Though those people were hard to find, there were still a few people that she knew were loyal to her. Of course, trust was a different matter.
"General, if you do not make a decision now, you might regret later," she told him.
Her words only pressured him more and made him have an even harder time deciding what decision was best. However, he did take the time to think about her sentence.
"Xiao Hua, what do you mean by regret," the general asked.
"Are you sure you want to know," she asked back with a smirk.
"Tell me. What else do you know," he urged.
"General, do you know the dangers of the black market," she first started by asking him a question.
"Of course I know! I've been in the military for so long! The number of missions I've done to quell the black market activities has been to the hundreds," the general exclaimed hearing her ask such an idiotic question.
"Cao Yang… Is a stupid fellow," she told the general.
"W-what? I am not following Xiao Hua," the general inquired in confusion.
"General, if I must be truthful, Cao Yang will most likely be targeted due to his stupidity and idiocy," she truthfully spoke. "Other than this, I can not give you more info. Any more and I will be creating enemies for myself."
She already had lots of enemies, but she would rather not leak her own info. She had already done more than enough for them by providing the evidence and giving the body to them. If they did not do according to her standards, she would strike herself.
When she had done so, it would not be a pretty sight. That was for sure.
"I still have some business to attend," she said. "Please take as much time as needed for this penthouse will be on sale from now on as I will be moving out. Also, Cao Yang has a heavy criminal record already, so for the sake of the multiple hundreds of civilians out there, please inform your superior."
Leaving behind those words, she exited her bedroom and grabbed her important documents she had left on the living room coffee table.
For now, she would be living in the room built next to her office since it would take quite a while before she would get the apartment that she wanted. After all, her living space requirements were very high.
----------
Entering the entrance door of her company, she called Qin Xifeng.
When Qin Xifeng answered the call, she yelled out, "Boss! When are you going to be here!? Seriously! How can you always be so late!?"
Knowing that Qin Xifeng would be screaming her lungs out, she had already placed her phone at a safe distance from her ear.
After receiving an earful from Qin Xifeng and assuring that the lady had finished with the lecture, she finally gave the reason of her call.
"Xifeng, how is the apartment hunt," she asked while walking towards her office.
"I've found a few that might peak your interest. Though I still think that there might be others that will interest you even more," Qin Xifeng answered.
"Okay. Take your time. You don't have to rush. While you're at the real estate, go cancel the contract for the penthouse," she ordered.
"Okay. I'll make sure to get that done by today," Qin Xifeng said.
"I'll end the call now. Whenever you have them, find me in the office bedroom," she informed Qin Xifeng.
"Alright," Qin Xifeng replied.
Ending the call, she finally reached her office door, so she opened the door. Entering her office, she locked the door.
It was the first time she ever had to lock her office door. She never locked it because there were janitors who needed to do their jobs and she was always prepared for when someone needed her to approve something or to ask her something. She was a workaholic and never really rested except for sleep.
She slept long hours. She knew that, but there was a reason why. She never got enough sleep.
Aside from being the founder and the head designer for her company, she also worked on her knowledge of the newest scientific discoveries and hacked into classified locations to see if they were keeping any of the latest technologies secrets.
Aside from not trusting others, she also did not trust the government. In fact, she did not trust any government because she knew that the stories would always fifty percent true and fifty percent false. That was the government in a nutshell.
Heaving a sigh, she sat on the swivel chair and turned on the led light screen to continue designing the dress she last left off on.
There was not only a dress but also a man's suit. Her newest collection was going to be a couple set for evening parties. Being mainly better at female clothing, she decided that it was best to get the easy parts done first before going to the hard parts - the male suit.
The dress she was currently drawing was only half complete but even then, you could still tell that the dress would be legendary. Once it was finished, it would only stand out more than its other sibling sets. During the fashion show, this couple set would be the final piece shown.
----------
Hours had passed by and the sun had already set. She had not eaten anything yet so she was wondering if she should go out and eat at a restaurant. For now, she could relax for she finished the couple set she was designing beforehand.
However, she also thought about whether she should instead start trying to find the materials to make the couple outfit. The materials were hard to find and get, so she was thinking if she should do that.
In the end, she chose to not starve herself and find some food, or else she might die from malnutrition.
Leaving the company and driving her car, she went to the nearest open sushi restaurant that was rated by her was good enough. At this point, she did not really care for the great sushi and just wanted to gain more energy for the next day.
When she finally reached the sushi restaurant and opened the sliding door, she saw someone that she recognized. She wanted to immediately leave, but somehow the person recognized her.
Calling out her name, he cheerily said, "Qiao Jinghua! I never expected to see you here!"
