Friend or a Foe

Zi Family and Li Family weren't enemies to begin with. They were friends for generations before. What made them turn from being friends to foe.

Zi Peng has this question in his mind right from his childhood. He even tried asking his parents and grandparents. But never got an answer, in turn he would be reprimanded by his father.

From childhood,His family made sure that he away from any family issues. So he was sent to boarding school in Scotland along with his younger brother Zi Zexian. Zi Peng has seen his grandmother and grandfather more than his parents as young guy at school. His Father even wanted Zi Peng to settle down at Abroad after his university.

Zi Peng chose to comeback to be closer to his roots. Though it's great to grow up abroad, He felt home only here. After coming back, he didn't have time to focus on family so much. He was mad behind growing his grandfather's Zi business into Empire. He worked day and night to achieve the peak of business. At very short time, he earned himself steady place and reached the top with hard work and intelligence. He never appeared infront of the camera, since he is a very private person.

But currently, there seems to be a lot of family issues which are unsettled. He was initially worried about his mother, but his thoughts went to Grandfather. How he is doing with so many stuffs. However He doesn't regret any choices he had made in the past. But he felt he should have paid little bit attention towards his family. Zi Peng felt there is change in the way he is approaching things after marriage.

Before marriage, he was respectful, responsible towards his parents. Only his mother lately been nagging him for spending more time with the family. Xue Nuan changed his world completely after marriage. Zi Peng himself couldn't understand what's his priorities now. Right now, he is going with the flow.

He realized that he is zoned out and thinking about the past to himself.

Xue Nuan was looking at him with curiosity. Zi Peng found her look on the face extremely cute.

if Mother Zi is not there, he would have conquered the pink lush lips. Xue Nuan some how got the hint of his pervert thinking all of sudden. She warned him with her eyes.

Mother Zi was busy with her phone, she didn't notice her son and daughter-in-law eye to eye conversation.

When She looked up, both Zi Peng and Xue Nuan we're looking at her as if they were still waiting for the response.

Mother Zi realized she can't escape these intelligent twos infront of her. so she responded

"Honestly I don't know where your grandfather's are at the moment. I really don't know whether they are in talking terms. However they were not enemies to begin with. The relationship between the families turned sour after my marriage with your father. That's was just starter, eventually many things leaded to that."

Remembering the past brought up the sadness to Mother Zi, She felt her heart is getting very heavy. Noticing that Zi Peng regrets for asking his mother. Now he wanted to ask about Li Quan, but then he felt his mother will share herself, if she wants to. He doesn't want to push her more.

"Mother, Sorry I didn't know that it will bring you so much pain. So leave it.

But I felt you needed something from us, I could sense it from Uncle Li ward itself.

We are your children, you don't have hesitate to ask both of us anything. So tell me what do you want from us."

Mother Zi quickly regained her composure and spoke

" Xiao Nuan, Did you get to examine the results of the Brother Li. What's the current status of his health."

"Mother, Since the accident happened month ago, his wounds have been cured for the most part. But it has affected his spine little bit. So he need to physiotherapy regularly for a minimum of 3 months to recover himself."

Xue Nuan spoke like a doctor without thinking anything else.

Mother Zi noticed her son, who was waiting for an answer from her

" I have two things in my mind. this might seems irrational and selfish. But I have two requests to both of you. I hope you guys can fulfill that. Will you guys promise that you will Fulfill my wish?"

Mother Zi's question made Zi Peng think for a moment, but to his surprise Xue Nuan spoke instantly

"Mother, Please tell us what is your wish. If you are carefully asking us means that it must be pretty important or something close to your heart."

Xue Nuan looked at her unfilal husband who was still thinking even after his mother's request. it's not that Zi Peng didn't want to listen to his Mother. It's just that the request sounded little vague and he couldn't guess her.

"Mother, Even I promise to fulfill your wish whatever it is in capacity." Zi Peng spoke nodding at his mother. Xue Nuan knew in the short time that her husband is realistic and practical. That's is something she adores from him.

Mother sighed with the huge relief after hearing their agreement. She spoke in a calm and collected manner

"I said, I have two wishes right, here it goes

Wish number one- I want to take Uncle Li Chao with Old Zi Mansion to recuperate his health. "

She paused and looked at her son who eyes were wife open

" Zi Peng, the first task is for you. I hope you will Fulfill my first wish."

He just managed to say

"Mother, what about your second wish and is that for Xue Nuan?

" Yes Peng, the second wish is for Xiao Nuan. Only she can fulfill this wish of mine."

Zi Peng's heart started to race faster, even if it's his mom, he doesn't want to put his wife on spot.

"Mom, are you sure about this" Zi Peng asked in a polite voice.

"Yes, My second wish is that, I want Li Quan to stay in Old Zi Mansion along with Uncle Li. I don't want her to go abroad. I want her to live with me and your father."

More than Xue Nuan, Zi Peng was stunned for a moment. How Will he handle his possessive and jealous father?
