Ants are AMAZING hiders (Winters perspective)

I slowly approached her and asked softly, "em...excuse me Iris...are you ok?" She turned around and realised it was me. She said she was fine but I didn't believe her, for now I'll forget about as I wanted to have a proper chat with her but I'll ask her later. I kneeled down beside her and I tried something I had seen in the movies: I tucked a piece of her beautiful, bright pink hair behind her ear and stared deeply into her eyes. She blushed slightly so I think it worked. I helped her to stand and we started walking in silence. I asked her what she wanted to do, expecting something like: can I please sit down and take a rest or I'm sorry but I must get going, she actually asked to play sardines with me! Sardines was one of my favourite games. "But we don't have enough people," I explained. I can't get anyone else from my clan as they won't understand why I'm with Iris, also, everyone says I'm childish and immature so they probably wouldn't play with me anyway. "I have an idea," Iris bursted. "Do you think the Autumn leader: Hazel, would mind if we go in her gardens for a bit?" She questioned mysteriously. "Well I've been told that lately she's been taking trips away from her clan, plus, her family told me that I'm welcome in their gardens anytime!"

As we arrived I noticed her to start leaning down, picking up small ants and putting them in an empty box with minuscule holes in the lid. She told me that ants are AMAZING hiders and could play sardines with us! To be honest I feel like this gonna be a disaster but I'll see what happens. Maybe it'll be fun...

Footnote: these are the rules of Sardines in case you don't know the game: one person hides while everyone else is the seeker. Everyone goes off in different directions to find the person. When someone finds the individual they hide with them and the game ends when the the last seeker finds the hider.
