Chapter 70: Dusk and Dawn

"Come one now don't be like that…. Against such a dangerous duo, I have no choice but to make use of any form of advantage I can get… I don't wish to die yet, I believe you give me too much credit, A rated guardian, Dawn!" Master Chou laughed out loud along with the A rated guardian Dawn who kept laughing as well.

Even while the two laughed away like old friends, the tension in the room was still high. The old martial arts master was not joking when he spoke on making use of all advantages available just to win against these people. Dawn and his wife Dusk, who is also an A rated guardian are capable of facing off against S rated guardians when they join hands. Even though the old martial arts master can also face off against an S rated guardian, it still didn't mean he could take these two lightly.

"These humans with special abilities never cease to amaze me… Their techniques are always flashy… that's how they capture the hearts of people and turn them away from true martial arts… To be able to erase your existence is something impressive, erasing the shadows with your ability is even more impressive but even then there are things even you cannot stop" Master Chou said with a clenched fist.

Raising his hands up, he slowly threw an open palm forward and what followed was a massive bang sound that echoed all across the room. The movement prior to the release of the technique was slow and weak, yet it could generate that much power! This made the guardian dawn wonder what kind of stupid fool decided to look down on martial arts.

Since the bright lights prevented master Chou from seeing his surrounding, he couldn't tell where his opponent was at. Instead, all he knew was that his attack had missed! Shutting his eyes once again, the old martial arts master threw a fist to another random location in the room, and even then, he still missed.

"This may take a while…" Master Chou said with a calm smile on his face.

Patience was one of the main codes of all martial art practitioners. Even if it would take him a day, he wouldn't mind! While his moves were simple arm gestures, the dazzling brilliance used by the guardian, dawn consumed spirit energy. It's only a matter of time before dawn runs out of spirit energy.

Within the bright light, in a certain corner in the room, the guardian's Dawn and his lady, Dusk stood and watched the old man throw attacks at random locations. Even though this technique could somehow erase every evidence of their existence, they didn't dare move carelessly. In their opinion, fighting this man in such a confined space may allow them to use the light and darkness abilities more effectively but in the end, it still kept them at arm's reach.

"What if he runs out of patience and chooses to utilize the aura materialization… we saw first hand what it can do when Zero fought Shi Jia… we saw its reach and power! We will be killed instantly" Dusk said with a worried expression on her face.

"Hehehe and this is an underground chamber… I don't know how this old man found us, but we need to leave this place.. we need to move to the surface… Find our targets and leave… if we must fight, our chances of survival are greater when we fight above" Dawn replied and Dusk nodded in approval.
