Chapter 69: Light and darkness (2)

"Aah! The unholy union of the two members from the Skotadi clan and the Fos clan created one of the strongest A rated guardian duos in the history of this great nation… The light and darkness took the whole nation by surprise, ridding this world of so many notorious super-powered criminals who were strong enough to make even the government sweat profusely. The strength of this duo was soon declared to rival that of an S rated guardian and now this undefeated duo is standing right before me, protecting those who I wish to harm… I, Old man Chou respect and admire talented youths, but I have duties and tasks to accomplish as one of the elders of the divine fist palace… I hope we can come to some sort of agreement and avoid violence… For that reason, I ask that you stay here with me and maybe we can talk and exchange knowledge about our lives… we may end up becoming good friends." The old man spoke with a gentle smile while walking into the room and closing the door behind him.

His words were kind, but even without been told, the man in white could tell the old man was just looking for an opportunity to strike. Zero and Shi Jia are national asserts and even if these people should succeed, there was no way the country will just let them walk away. To cover their tracks they will most likely have to murder every witness, that explains why those who broke into the hospital, took their time to slaughter everyone, going from one room to another. Should they succeed, the country will not be able to deal with them since they can't tell which group is responsible for this. In such a situation, the only thing the government can do is wage war against the entire martial arts community, which is very unlikely since the emergence of the twin masters of the god sect. The martial arts community also possess lots of prominent fighters who are on par with high rated guardians or even stronger, they cannot be overlooked. In such a situation, the government probably won't destroy their only chance of survival over two dead prodigies.

"You kind words warm my heart… Great master Chou but I respectfully decline… You see those two kids you wish to harm are the future of this great nation, so I intend to protect them… But if you wish to slay them, it does not only mean that you are going against me but the nation… I will be forced to put you down as well" The man in white said with a charming smile but a murderous gaze.

Once the doors were closed again, the room became dark again, with the dim lights coming from the monitors as the only source of light. The man in white and his lady partner didn't seem to mind but what stunned them too was that the short old master, elder Chou didn't seem to be bothered at all by this.

At the very end of the room were the monitors and the control panels with a couple of chairs added to it and along the sides were shelves filled with countless files and documents. The room wasn't necessarily big so there wasn't much space between the two A rated guardians and the old martial arts master. In such a confined space a martial arts practitioner or master with great close combat capabilities will always come out on top. The guardians were already at a disadvantage due to the location and they knew it.

"Why would you say something like that, especially since I came here with no ill intentions" Master Chou complained but the sly smile on his face never faded.

"No ill intentions? A powerful martial arts master such as yourself is locked up in this little room with two powerless love birds… and you ask me not to feel worried? We will probably be dead even before we throw a punch" The man in white laughed.

"Come one now don't be like that…. Against such a dangerous duo, I have no choice but to make use of any form of advantage I can get… I don't wish to die yet, I believe you give me too much credit, A rated guardian, Dawn!"
