"That's it! I'm getting me Mallet!"

~Six days later~

Six days. In six out of the seven days Logan was given to handle the mission he had, it seemed that nothing was going his way and everything was against him. And Logan was getting close to snapping.

The first and the same day Logan was dropped off, it was the nicest and easiest day. Logan took off out of Raven's camp and flew out of sight before changing in to his hawk form. From there Logan soared around about a 50 mile square, just to mark out an area for the Kanibal tribe's possible location. From the information Raven got from her info broker, they had a cave entrance that led into a massive cavern that was their base somewhere near here. And that was all the info broker could find about their base.

The cave entrance proved harder then Logan thought to find. Logan started out around noon and kept searching till the shattered moon was high in the sky. Frustrated with not even finding a hint, Logan headed back to his house he made to rest before heading back out. Only to find it ransacked and broken, even the wood and stone door was in pieces.

Still in his bird form, Logan headed back to Raven's camp. Perching on top of a tent post, Logan listened in on the camp sounds. Not even a minute in, Logan over heard a group laugh about destroying Logan's house he made. They were just sitting around a bonfire and bragging about it like some sort of achievement.

Logan decided to do what any sane person with magical fire powers would do, he flew up, transformed back into his body, and then dived straight into the bonfire. Walking out of the exploded fire as balls of fire floated around him, Logan made sure they knew it was him. Vernal had come running when she heard the explosion and found Logan standing with flaming balls floating around him and several tribesmen passed out with piss filled pants. It didn't take long for her to find out what happened.

The second day was weird for Logan. What happened last night spread like wild fire and several tribe members wanted to get payback.

When Logan woke up, he found himself surrounded with a few people holding rope. Logan, not being in the mood that morning, just roughed them up a bit before throwing them out. Unfortunately for Logan, this wasn't the only time he was harassed.

The next time it happened, was when Logan had just finished up his morning workout and was making himself some breakfast. He was using a standing grill, a pan, and his fire to make some eggs and bacon from his supplies he had prepared along with some coffee. The casualties were his breakfast and his coffee pot.

That time, Raven had come back from a patrol and found Logan sitting on a body pile cradling a cup of coffee in his hands with a facepalming Vernal by his side on the ground. Logan just waved to Raven as she stomped over the them. By the end of Logan's tale, Raven was copying Vernal as the two of them just sighed.

The third day was the most embarrassing, but not for Logan. Logan had just discovered several caves entrances that could prove to be the cave they were looking for. He couldn't watch them all, so he was gonna see if Raven could help any little bit.

Logan flew back and into the camp. As he went to land, Vernal came running out of a tent next to Raven's. The two of them crashed into each other, then tumbled and rolled before coming to a stop. They ended up in a unique situation that ended up causing quite a spectacle.

Raven came out when she heard the commotion, and when she saw Logan and Vernal's situation, laughed her ass off and the tribe members were hooting and hollering. Vernal was on top of Logan, mounting him, with a hand on Logan's chest and one above his head. Logan was underneath her, grabbing her chest, while the two of them kissed.

Vernal acted like a shy girl. She slapped Logan across his face and called him a pervert as she held her arms across her chest. When she saw where she was sitting, she jumped up, gave Logan a hard kick, and ran behind Raven who was still laughing. After Raven, somehow, calmed down, Logan reported the caves he found and the tree of the got to work.

The morning of the fourth day was a blood bath. That morning, right before the sun started to rise, Grimm swarmed the camp's gates. Ursas, Beowolfs, Creeps, and Boarbatusks scratched and howled at the walls as they desperately tried to get in.

Logan was the first one up, besides the sentries that stood guard, and at the gates. The sentries had tried their best to hold the gate closed, but the sudden appearance of an alpha Ursa tore through the wooden gate with ease. Taking a few of the sentries out with its swipe and destroying the gate.

Logan stood his ground while pulling out his [Scatter-storm] (Shotgun X Axe). The weapon appeared to be a pistol-grip lever-action shotgun with a massive ax head mounted to the front of its reinforced barrel. Without hesitation Logan started to unleash shot shell after shot shell, his arm blurring as he fired as fast as he could.

Soon after Raven, Vernal, and most of the camp came and stood by Logan as they opened fired at the swelling Grimm horde. Raven, wanting to jump into a sword fight with the Grimm, was held back by Logan. Logan tossed his [Scatter-Storm] to her and yelled that it fired aura shells all while pulling out his [Hell-sent]. [Hell-sent] was an M2 Browning machine gun with a chainsaw grip that served as the trigger and had a blade that ran the full length of the barrel.

Someone shouted that a Nevermore was heading towards them from the front. Logan saw it coming and drew a line of fire straight up at it. By the time it got close, all that was left was disappearing ribbons.

By noon, the swarm of Grimm stopped. Numerous Grimm lay disappearing on the ground and casualties, though few, were saddening. Countless casings from non aura based weapons made a mound where they all stood. That day became a day for mourning for the dead. Raven then gathered up and then portal-ed the dead back to their main camp for burial.

The fifth day was when a good chunks of the forest vanished, exploded, or were caught on fire. The Kanibal tribe began to lay traps in the caves Logan found. Each one held a different trap.

One held a hidden entrance that was filled with Deathstalkers, both big and small. Another held extremely young Grimm wolves strapped with explosives. A different cave was dug out and filled with explosives. Each one caused a new headache for Logan as he was the only one able to enter with a chance to leave before anything could happen.

It also didn't help that Grimm swarms were attacking randomly throughout the day. It could be only a handful of them, or it could be enough to last a few minutes. But Logan would begrudgingly admit that it was better then the first time at least. The biggest downside to this was that Logan hadn't had time to check the caves.

That brings things to the sixth day.

~~~~~~ With Logan~~~~~~
Logan woke up groggily as he sat up in his cot. His hair was a mess and his wings had seen better days. Ripping his torn shirt off, he had fell asleep while wearing, Logan reached into his [Inventory] and grabbed a fresh shirt and his stick of deodorant. It had been a few days since Logan had gotten more then a few hours of restful sleep.
Stepping out of his tent, Logan saw the camp worst for ware. The few he could see, some were wounded and some were down trotted. The overall mood of the camp was depressing for all.
Logan nodded his head towards some of the tribesmen as he started his breakfast. Setting a frying pan on a few rock while leaving the bottom open for his fire. Then, he took out an old coffee pot and doing the same before lighting a fire under both of them. Logan was frying some stripes of beef when he noticed Vernal stumble over to him. She herself looking like she needed a good night's sleep as well.
Vernal: "Logan, Raven want's you at her tent in ten minutes." She tiredly said as she rubbed her eyes. "It's about the next cave raid." Vernal barely got out while holding back a yawn.
Logan: "No problem, Vernal." Logan said as he took out two old tin cups. "I'll be done with my breakfast before then." Logan told her as he filled both cups up and holding one up to her. "Here, black coffee and extra strong. Should keep you going."
Vernal: "Your a lifesaver." Vernal said as she greedily grabbed the cup and downed it. "This is getting ridiculous. With the raids from Grimm, the lot of trapped caves, and now we're down to the bare minimum with our resources." She said with a sigh as she finished her coffee. "We've lost too much."
Logan: "That you have." Logan agreed with her. "And they're getting on my last nerves too. I'm temped to get my mallet out." Logan said as he ate.
Vernal: "What's a mallet gonna do?" Vernal scoffed.
Logan: "Have you ever heard of a Kinetic Orbital Strike?" Logan asked as he finished his breakfast, cleaned up, and started to walk towards Raven's tent.
Vernal: "You don't mean..." Vernal wanted to ask, but she was afraid to do so.
Logan: "My mallet weighs one tonne. Now imagine that being dropped from, say two miles up."
Vernal visibly paled at the thought of it. Not long after that scary though, the two of them entered inside of Raven's tent. Inside, the only different change was that her low table was replaced with a normal table with a map of the area pinned to it. Raven stood next to it, going over reports that her tribesmen gave her from their patrols. Next to her was an opened bottle of Brandy and cup.
Raven: "Logan! Good, your up." Raven greeted them as the two of them walked in. "Good news or bad news first?"
Logan: "Let's hear the bad first." Logan said as he stood across from her.
Raven: "The last cave raid we planed is a trap. That cave is filled with Grimm and lined with burn Dust. Any little bit of aura will set it off." Raven unloaded on to Logan.
Logan: "And the good?" Logan asked somewhat pissed off about the cave.
Raven: "One of my men got drunk and went to take a piss last night, ended up pissing on a Kanibal tribe spy. How it happened, I don't know or care." Raven said as she pushed some of her hair out of her face.
Logan: "You want me to interrogate that spy?" Logan asked.
Raven: "No need. We got a lot of of them." Raven said with a sigh. "The biggest thing we got was that all the caves we found were actually entrances they all used. When they were found, they collapsed them and hid them the best they could. They're also running out of Grimm they could control as well. The main entrance is located in a nearby crevice and they're almost out of supplies themselves."
Vernal: "So, what are we waiting for?" Vernal, who had been quite, spoke. "Let's go get them!"
Raven: "We can't, they have a Geist guarding the entrance with a body made from steel."
At Raven's last piece of information, Logan's eyes visibly darken. An aura of pure hatred flowed out of him. Vernal paled at what Logan said and Raven grimaced.
Logan: "THAT'S IT!!!! I'M GETTING MY MALLET!!!!"
