... The ones we praised...

Logan rushed the God of Light's avatar. Getting in close before he could react, Logan went for an overhead strike to which the avatar created a light sword to block. The avatar then sent a kick towards Logan as he side-stepped to dodge. Thrusting his sword, Logan baited the avatar to dodge so that he could shoot him as he did so. Instead, the avatar raised its shield to deflect the thrust and to send an overhead strike of its own at Logan from behind his shield. Logan backed off as he shot at the avatar as his ash snaked its way towards it from under the floor. However, before the ash could get close, the avatar struck its sword into the ground and slashed at Logan. The slash released a wave of light that headed directly at Logan and destroyed the ash he had under the ground. Logan took the chance to dodge away and then rushed forward, shooting as he got in close.

.

The avatar changed tactics as soon as Logan got in a few feet of it. The shield disappeared and the sword elongated into a bladed staff to which the avatar started furiously thrusting at Logan, stopping his advance and blocking with his sword. Using the small openings he got when the avatar recoiled and reset its thrusts, Logan used his [Ace of Spades] to shoot at its arms and legs. The avatar didn't bother to dodge as it continued to thrust its bladed staff at Logan's mid-section as fast as it could. Logan saw the wounds healed at an extremely fast and visible rate as he leaned to the left to dodge a vicious thrust he didn't expect.

.

Clicking his tongue, Logan dodged a slash from the avatar as he backstepped when the avatar advanced. Logan used his sword to deflect the next thrust and get in close as he unleashed his flames along his sword's blade. The flames caught the avatar off guard as it burned its hands as Logan scrapped it down the staff's shaft. Bright red flames licked the avatar's chest as the tip of Logan's sword carved a trail down its chest, the fire burning the wound and singeing the avatar's clothes. Jumping back, the avatar's bladed staff changed into a bow and it started firing arrows of light at Logan who used his gun to shoot them all out of the air.

.

Lux: "Ah, now I remember." The avatar spoke as it traced the chest wound it got. "The mortal supposedly sent here by an Elder God." The avatar chuckled. "It's quite unpleasant to see you again. It seems that this body can't remember all of our memories. An oversight, but a small one and easily fixable."

Logan: "How lovely..." Logan fake sighed. "You remembered little old me." Logan sighed before lunging at the avatar.

.

The avatar raised its light bow and fire one shot that split into dozens in less than a second. Logan raised his ash and formed it into a round shield in front of him as he ran. Seeing as its arrows were doing nothing to the shield, the avatar changed the bow into a whip and lashed out at Logan's ankles. Reacting fast, Logan cut the tip of the whip off with his sword before continuing to charge at the avatar. Pulling what was left of the light whip back, the avatar changed it into a sword again and met Logan's sword in a clash.

.

Lux: "Come now, mortal." The avatar said as their blades locked. "I know that you weren't sent here to fix this world. You haven't even checked in with whoever sent you." The avatar laughed. "You are nothing but an intruder interfering in things you have no right to."

Logan: "..."

.

Logan didn't say anything to the avatar as he sent a kick to the avatar's groin. The avatar squealed as the kick connected and Logan tore the light sword from its hands. Raising his knee, Logan struck the avatar's nose and shattered it as well as threw the avatar up into the air. Tossing his sword up, Logan grabbed the avatar's outstretched leg and slammed him down hard. As Logan grabbed his sword from the air and struck down in a stab, the avatar rolled away while shooting blasts of light at him.

.

Logan squinted as he weaved in and out of the blasts while moving closer to the avatar. When Logan was in striking distance, the flames on Logan's sword changed. Instead of red, they turned green, and the sound of crackling electricity could be heard as Logan swung swiftly at the avatar's torso. The flames lept for the sword and struck true on the avatar's body and shocked it to the point that its skin was charred.

.

With the avatar reeling back after the attack, Logan move forward to capitalize on it but was forced to dodge as a Grimm creep was thrown at him. As the creep flew by him, Logan merely hed his sword out and cut the Grimm in half. Glancing in the direction it came from, Logan saw that the other avatar, the one for the God of Darkness, was responsible for the sudden interference. Logan knew that they would watch out for each other, but it seemed that unless they couldn't move to help the other, they would do whatever it took to ensure the other would survive or at least have time to heal. Looking back at the avatar Logan was fighting, it was slowly getting back up as the damage it sustained was slowly disappearing.

.

Logan cursed and charged at the still recovering avatar, intending to at least put one down for now before dealing with the other one. As he did, the other avatar teleported next to the brother and summoned several tentacles to attack Logan. One managed to grab his ankle and Logan immediately chopped the offending tentacle to shreds.

.

Logan felt his eye twitch as he watched as the avatar helped the other up and the lack of other Grimm. The tentacles the dark one summoned acted as a defensive measure to keep them safe for a moment. As Logan planned what to do next, a blue-eyed Saberhound rushed past him. The tentacles grabbed the Saberhound around its torso and picked it up, then a tentacle speared itself through its mouth and out the back end of the Saberhound. It didn't help that the Saberhound squirmed for a few seconds before it disappeared.

.

Logan: ' Disgusting...' Logan thought as he suppressed a shiver from running through his body.

.

As Logan went to attack, the Beowolf from before approached his side; and only just that one. The two glanced at each other before charging together. Acting before the tentacles could, Logan unleashed a wave of crimson and emerald fire that washed over them. The two avatars formed shields as the flames got close to them, giving a chance for the Beowolf to pounce onto them when they least expected it.

.

When the Beowolf pounced on them, Logan used that moment to send his ash to bind one of them before they could react. The God of Darkness' avatar didn't get a chance to scream or anything as the Beowolf tore its throat out along with its head. The God of Light's avatar was shocked at the turn of events and tried to kill the Beowolf in revenge for his brother. Keyword, 'tried'.

.

As the avatar went to fire a beam of light at the Grimm, Logan interfered and cut it in half. With the avatar recoiling from Logan's unexpected arrival, Logan drew his [Ace of Spades] and shot it, point-blank. The avatar acted quickly enough to throw a hastily made shield up that managed to block the shot before shattering. As the shield shattered, Logan's ash and flames snaked their way onto the avatar. The avatar then released an omnidirectional blast that tore the flames and ash apart while throwing back Logan and the Beowolf. Logan wasn't able to recover fast enough and hit a wall while the Beowolf managed to spin around and used the wall as a platform to jump off of and grab the chandelier above them.

.

The avatar saw what the Beowolf did and sent a blast at the chain holding the chandelier. As the chain broke, the chandelier fell with the Beowolf below it. The two hit the ground hard enough for it to crack under the blow. Logan got to his feet and was met with a punch to his face as the avatar turned into a beam of light to get to him. Logan reacted quickly and snared his white flames around the avatar's ankle as he was blown away by the blow.

.

Lux: "You mere Mortal!" The avatar shouted as it stomped its way to the trapped Beowolf. "You already trespassed in our world against our will, treated us as fools, and now you dare help this lower lifeform to kill one of our avatars? You will die for this transgression, and it will be a slow and painful death over countless centuries." The avatar declared as it threw away the chandelier and grabbed the Beowolf by the throat. "First, to deal with this."

.

When the avatar tried to form a light construct, nothing happened. Shocked at the development, the Beowolf took its chance and swiped at the avatar's arm holding him. However, due to the fall and fight beforehand, the Grimm was severely weakened. The swipe was enough for the avatar to drop the Grimm, but not enough to take its arm off. In a fit of rage, the avatar kick the Grimm's head as it hit the ground and sent it flying off towards the back of the castle hall.

.

Logan took the chance when the avatar's back was turned away from him to throw his sword like a spear. The sword sailed straight as it pierced through the back of the avatar's stomach with ease. From where he was, Logan unfurled his wings and used his fire to launch himself at the avatar like a flaming missile. Ramming his shoulder into the back of the avatar, Logan grabbed his sword and ripped it out of the avatar.

.

Blood poured out as the avatar fell to its knees. Not taking another chance for it to heal, Logan went for the head. Stabbing his sword through the back of its skull and right through the brain. And to just make sure there was no chance, Logan set his sword on fire with his crimson flames and burned the head to ash along with the rest of the avatar's body. Once the avatar's body was gone, Logan made his way over to the other avatar's body.

.

Logan couldn't help but shudder when he saw the blood act like small slimes and try to reconnect the avatar's head to its body. He watched as the blood slowly formed into very thin trails of blood and slowly inch the head closer. Shaking his head, Logan burned the body and head; making sure there was no way for it to revive.

.

Logan then walked over to where the blue-eyed Beowolf was thrown. The Grimm was laying on its side heaving. Logan could tell from his experience of fighting Grimm that it didn't have much time before it would succumb to its wounds. As soon as he stood before the Grimm, the two stared into each other's eyes. Numerous thoughts flashed through the eyes of each other as Logan had an understatement with the Grimm. One of neither hate nor disgust.

.

Logan: "Thank you." Logan spoke to the Grimm. "Without you and your allies, this would have been a lot worse."

Beowolf: "... Grrr..." The Grimm growled softly as if understanding Logan's words as it made no move to try and fight Logan.

Logan: "As sad as this is, I..." Logan stopped himself, understanding a subtle glint that flashed through the Grimm's eyes. "Very well," Logan said as he leveled his [Ace of Spades] at the Grimm. "May wherever you end up, shall you be hailed as the 'Returning Hero'. Rest easy, you and your allies have earned it."

.

Logan left the castle as it started to fall to pieces, having to do what was needed. His thoughts were a mess as he made his way over to the food storage shed that 02 place the villagers. Easily breaking the barrier 03 made, Logan entered in to find that they all had woken up and had already untied themselves.

.

Villager: "Who are you!?" One challenge Logan as soon as the doors were opened. "Are you with those Faunus?!"

Logan: "They're dead." Logan said simply. "And their castle is falling as we speak."

Elder: "Boy, if you tell the truth, then let us see." An elderly villager stepped forth and spoke up.

.

Logan stood aside as they all watched as the castle they were forced to build, crumble down. Flames erupted here and there, making sure nothing would be left. Then Logan did something he felt was right, and left right after.

.

Elder: "The ones that were behind this..." The elder shook along with the rest of the villagers. "... the ones we praised... as gods... Damn it all..."
