Baby's First Days (2)

{One week later...}

.

Logan: "Oh Oum!" Logan shouted before gagging at the rancid smell that assaulted his nose. "It's like Yang trying to cook anything other than leftover takeout!" He had to stop and start hacking up a lung. "No, it's worse. It's the Menagerie sewer system all over again but worse."

.

Currently, Logan was cleaning up Dorothy's accident. For the third time that day.

.

Glynda: "Stop winning, it's not that bad." Glynda scoffed at his act while handing him a diaper. "Remember, wipe her entire bottom so she doesn't get a rash."

Logan: "I know, I know." Logan spoke as he removed the dirty diaper and cleaned his daughter's bottom. "But still, how can something so small, make something so smelly."

Glynda: "Trust me, I wonder the same thing." Glynda admitted as she watched Logan finish changing Dorothy's diaper. "Just think, we have four years till she's old enough to potty train."

Logan: "Can't I just use my flames to get this over with faster?" Logan asked.

Glynda: "No." Glynda told him. "If I have to smell it every time I do it, then so do you."

Logan: "You can block the smell with your semblance!" Logan pointed out. "And I know you're doing that right now too!"

Glynda: "Nope, nose plugs." Logan explained to Logan. "Salem gave me a small jar full of them." She had a smug, teasing smile on her face when Logan realized she had nose plugs in.

Logan: "You're evil." Logan spoke quietly, his face in mock horror.

Glynda: "But, I'm your wicked witch~" Glynda whispered into his ear as she sauntered off with a sway in her hips.

Logan: "Such a tease." Logan grumbled as he hosted Dorothy up into his arms and followed her out. "But, I love her," Logan told Dorothy as he walked after her.

.

He found Glynda in the living room, getting comfortable with a blanket and turning the television onto something family-friendly for little Dorothy and her to watch. Logan sighed and walked up to her and gently passed off the now cleaned Dorothy and kissed them both goodbye and headed for the door. Logan had taken up the job of Beacon's combat teacher so that Dorothy could grow up next to her mother while he worked for her future. Not that he didn't want to be in her life, Logan knew that his saving would sooner or later run out and this was the best he could think of to be as close as he could to them.

.

Getting to his class, Logan found the amphitheater already filled with that period's students. Getting started, Logan ended up learning that the class he had in there was lacking heavily in the 'dodge' apartment. They dodged when it was the best option, but still tanked, for lack of a better word, most of their opponent's hits even when it cost them a match. Logan sighed and had to bring up why it's always better to dodge an attack rather than tank it. Explaining it in simple terms since a few didn't really understand. One asked why and Logan had to stop himself from smacking the kid's head in. Thankfully, the class ended before Logan had done just that, saving the kind unknowingly from a smack to the head.

.

The second class was far better than the first. They could plan ahead from who they were facing and knew when to dodge and strike when the iron was hot. Logan did give a few hints or ideas out to those that needed them. Some he outright told what was wrong with their performance. Though, there were a few injuries that could have been prevented that was mainly due to them not paying attention. The class ended on a somewhat sour note when you told them that the injuries happened due to their own fault and that if there was anyone to blame, it was themselves.

.

The third class had both Team RWBY and JNPR in them. Both teams showed far better cooperation than any student or team Logan had seen so far. Ruby ended up showing the class why they shouldn't underestimate her due to her age once again when she ended up with a five-round winning streak in the team matches Logan held. They only lost due against Team JNPR because of Jaune and Pyrrha. They ended up using her semblance to halt them in their tracks and threw Team RWBY out of bounds. Logan couldn't help but be proud of both teams for how much they grew. The class ended the best he had so far with no injuries and every student learning something new or how they could better themselves. Though there was an awkward moment when the two teams walked out hand-in-hand with their lovers, however, Nora was carrying Ren like a princess as they left since he couldn't walk after a punch from Yang. Logan ended up laughing at those who were single and crying out in despair at the sight.

.

His last class was fresh first years that were just having their first combat class of the year. Not a single one was graced with Logan's knowledge and that made him giggly. Not about teaching young and fresh minds, no, it was about torturing them as a way to relieve stress and building them from the ground up. Logan couldn't wait to see the looks on their faces as they face a very real, living hell.

.

The class went as much as Logan expected. A few students acted like they were the cream of the crop and Logan cut and beat them down. Showing them that this wasn't a game they thought it was. A few were pissed at how he had treated them and Logan told them they could leave the school if they wanted. Not the class, the school. Logan, after knocking a few heads together, stated that they were becoming Remnant's Guardians and that they could die at any moment when out in the field.

.

The few that didn't take it as a serious warning, Logan marked for monitoring as they would most like to get themselves or others killed. For those that did take it seriously, Logan nodded and started explaining what the class would entail. It didn't take long for those that did take Logan seriously to figure out that they were in for hell after he stated that he would be personally training them if they fell behind.

.

After Logan's mini-lecture, he had the students break into their teams and had them explain what they could and could not do. He did this mainly to get them to know their teammates better in hopes of having fewer issues in their cohesion. One of the many, many reasons that what was once Team CRDL lost their lives, that didn't include their crimes that is.

.

The class ended with somewhat of a high point after one of the teams realized that Logan was the teacher that was hired last year and took Remnant by storm with his teachings. How it took them that long to figure it out was beyond Logan. He just rolled with it and got them into gear with basic runs and exercises to figure out where they were. Some did poorly, but after looking at their transcripts, Logan saw that it was their previous academy's fault since they just drilled them on their book knowledge. A few did pretty well and their transcripts revealed that they were discriminated against since they were Faunus or those that treated Faunus well, so Logan would have to talk and examine them himself to find out where they stood since their transcripts didn't tell their whole story.

.

Logan couldn't help but sigh at how racist Remnant still was after everything he did over the years. Even now, some students openly insulted others based on their skin color or certain traits at times. Faunus may get it the worst, but even other humans treat others differently if their skin tones are different.

.

Logan: 'White, blue, or brown; we are all the same on the inside." Logan thought sadly as he watched his current class run for their lives after he unleashed his emerald flames on them. 'If just racism ends, there would be a whole lot less to deal with. But, as long as there is hate and love, there will always be war. The same with greed and wrath.'

.

Not long after, Logan called an end to the class and sent them off to the showers. A few were taken to the nurse's office because they fell and were zapped quite a bit before Logan's flames left them alone. Some were worse off than others. It wasn't hard to figure out why.

.

After the class left, Logan made his way towards his office to start grading papers from second years and up. While the combat classes were mainly that, combat, there were still parts that required one to go over textbooks and answer quizzes. Questions were usually based on what would be best in this or that situation, how to handle this without doing that, and so on. While the second years and up were relatively good, there were still a few that thought the class was far too easy and didn't study. So Logan couldn't just do multiple choice questions and have an answer key for them, he had to make them open-ended and have them explain in detail what would they do with why and how. On the bright side for the students, the quizzes were never more than ten questions each and three at the least.

.

Though, he never said anything about them NOT having parts A, B, and C.

.

As Logan handled what little paperwork he had, he couldn't help but have his thoughts drift to Glynda and Dorothy. The simple sight of Glynda carrying Dorothy brought a smile to his face. And one of Dorothy happily gurgling and Glynda smiling was more than enough to light up his world. Logan chuckled as he finish the last paper, he couldn't wait to get home. Yang may try to spoil her rotten, but it was going to be after Logan already did. Though he was sure that Glynda would smack him silly if he tries.

.

Logan sighed happily as he stood and stretched his back muscles, feeling several pops run down his spine. Packing up the few loose pieces of paper he had used to help him grade the papers, he headed out towards the dorms. A few students were walking around the school or just hanging out as he passed by them. A few waved as they saw him and a few of the new students that saw him threw a glare at him to which he just smile and noted who they were. The smile promised them pain if they tried anything funny.

.

Logan: 'They get cockier every year,' Logan thought as he chuckled as a few looked away in fear. 'Looks like I'll have to be a bit more heavy-handed next time.'

.

Getting to the teacher's dorm, Logan entered inside and found his and Glyna's dorm. Upon entering inside, Logan was met with a floating baby and a moving bundle of limbs on the floor with two patches of blonde and red-black hair. Calmly taking the floating Dorothy away from the pile and into the kitchen netted Logan an unconscious Tai on the floor. Sighing, Logan rocked Dorothy asleep while sending his ash to deal with the pile of limbs moving towards the two and to pick up Tai off the floor.

.

Logan: "Summer, why are you wrestling my wife?" Logan sighed and asked as Dorothy fell asleep in his arms.

Glynda: "She was trying to steal Dorothy." Glynda stated as she continued to hold Summer down who was muttering incomprehensibly.

Logan: " *Very Deep Sigh* Let her go, Hun." Logan said as his ash wrapped around Summer's hands and feet. "Please tell me the two of you were playing."

Glynda: "She wasn't." Glynda explained as Logan bound Summer's hands and feet together, letting her stand up. "Tai tried to stop her at first and you saw where that got him. I just managed to stop her from leaving when you opened the door."

Logan: "Summer," Logan sighed and approached her, "my child." and promptly gave her a chop to the top of her head, earing a pout from her.

Summer: "I just wanted to play with her." Summer mumbled out.

Glynda: "I highly doubt that super speeding around is good for a week-old baby." Glynda stated.

.

Suddenly they could hear a groan from the couch.

.

Tai: "Did anyone get the serial number on that frying pan that hit me?" Tai groaned as he shakily sat up.
