Baby's First Days

Glynda: "Everyone," Glynda sobbed with joy when the two heard them come in, "I would like you to meet our child." She spoke slowly as she turned their newborn towards them. "Meet our daughter, Dorothy Scarlett nee Goodwitch."

Logan: "Our daughter." Logan hicked as he tried not to cry.

.

Everyone stood in silence as they looked upon the sleeping baby. Swaddled in a pink blanket, only the baby girl's face could be seen. A small button nose, a soft round face, and a few tuffs of cherry blonde hair.

.

What they never saw before was how emotional Logan was being. Those that knew him well enough, knew that he rarely ever, if at all, cried. Not a few tears, but this was full-blown waterworks as he felt his heart beat harder and faster as he gazed at this new life in the hands of his lover.

.

To those that saw his eyes, they were astounded at the sheer devotion that emanated from them.

.

Sophia: "She's beautiful." Sophia whispered, fearing waking the newborn.

Ruby: "So cute..." Ruby followed Sophia's example as she tiptoed forward. The other soon followed as they wished to see the newborn closer.

Yang: "I'm gonna spoil her rotten." Yang admitted as she got close enough to touch her.

Weiss: "Yang, be reasonable." Weiss reprimanded Yang, though she was secretly thinking the same.

Blake: "Anyone that makes her cry shall feel pain." Blake muttered which only Logan heard.

.

The rest didn't say anything, they just stood back and let them look on in wonder. Jaune and Pyrrha were holding each other tight. Ren and Nora were smiling from ear to ear while Nora hugged Ren and laid her head on his shoulder. Salem figured that Dorothy would be the first one of her generation to wield magic, something both she and Ozpin were hoping to see the day when magic returned. Azrael pulled his wife back and held her tight as they both watch in awe as Dorothy breathed lightly, lulled to sleep by Glynda's heartbeat. Team RWBY couldn't help but be enraptured by Dorothy's newborn charm.

.

The Doctor that delivered Dorothy soon came back and ushered all but Logan out of the room as Glynda slowly fell asleep with Dorothy in her arms. Seeing that even Logan wasn't doing too much better, they left as the three of them fell into a happy dream-filled sleep.

.

Karma sat and watched as Logan fell asleep next to Glynda and his newborn child. She couldn't help but smile as she sensed a bit of divinity in the newborn. Not enough to cause complications or to use, but enough to be sensed by gods like her.

.

Karma couldn't help but be mesmerized by humanity as a whole. They can create Gods from nothing and just as easily destroy them with just but a thought. They can create masterpieces just from the sight of a setting sun, or create horrors that no god can overcome. They could raise and help up complete strangers and take them to new heights or use their own children for sport.

.

Karma: "Such curious creatures..." Karma mused. "What drives them to go to such lengths? Is it one of those sins as they call it? Or maybe the virtues they hold?"

Auren: "I agree." Auren spoke up, catching Karma off guard. "Humanity as a whole, are fascinating creatures of habit."

Karma: "I just can't stop watching them." Karma admitted. "How they learn and grow, rise and fall, how they all end up the same at their end."

Auren: "I can see why." Auren chuckled. "They are both creators and destroyers and yet, they know nothing of what they create or destroy. Such odd creatures."

Karma: "And to think, they're our creators." Karma hummed.

Auren: "I've been meaning to ask," Auren spoke up suddenly, "How is your charge doing? Since he's awakened his divinity once, he could do it once again with the right stimulus. Then, changing that world you sent him to will be just a snap of his fingers away."

Karma: "He's doing well and right now, he's resting with his wife and newborn daughter." Karma giggled. "She even has a spark of divinity herself. Though it will never amount to anything. It's just too small. Logan was a special case as you know, but even then, he had to fight against the odds for it to appear."

Auren: "I see..." Auren hummed. "The one known as Magus, his plans are coming closer and closer to fruition. How do you think your charge will handle the news, should his plan succeed?"

Karma: "I don't know." Karma answered truthfully. "His actions will dictate whether or not it will work. And if it does, we have one less problem on our plates."

Auren: "That is something we can both agree on." Auren sighed in agreement. "By the way, Anubis and his partners got the vacation for a cycle."

Karma: "We were passed up again?!" Karma cried out in grief.

Tai: "Summer, hon, the sparkle in my eye." Tai gently called his wife. "Where did you get this Bullhead?"

Summer: "Oh, I just called in a favor from a friend." Summer said simply.

Tai: "And why does it have the Albatross company logo on the side of it?" Tai then asked. "You know, the company that makes and flys special made bullheads built for racing?"

Summer: "Trust me, there's nothing to worry about." Summer spoke as she just smiled gently.

Tai: "... you stole it, didn't you?" Tai deadpanned.

Summer: "I'm not a crook." Summer answered while flashing him a peace sign with one hand.

Tai: "I'm not bailing you out again if you get caught." Tai responded to Summer's claim.

Summer: "Only if I get caught!" Summer sang as she piloted the Bullhead straight to Vale.

.

Salem: "Oum damn it, Summer." Salem sighed out as she had just gotten off her scroll.

Ruby: "What's wrong?" Ruby asked as Team RWBY and JNPR were on their way back to Beacon with Salem. "What did mom do?"

Yang: "Probably started a fight on a Bullhead." Yang guessed. "I mean, with how mom was when she first found out Mrs. Goodwitch was pregnant, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened."

Blake: "Well, if Ruby is anything like her mother, I'd say something illegal." Blake guessed. "I've lost could of how many times we've had to stop her from doing the same." She commented, earning a pout from Ruby.

Weiss: "I'm with Blake on this one." Weiss sided with Blake.

Ruby: "Weiss!" Ruby shouted in betrayal.

Jaune: "I'm with Yang on this." Jaune threw his two Lein in and Pyrrha nodded her head.

Ren/Nora: "Illegal/THEFT" Ren and Nora, one shouted and the other spoke, at the same time.

Salem: "She stole a top-of-the-line Racing Bullhead." Salem told them. "Claiming that an SSS-rank mission needed to be finished at any, and all costs." She spoke as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "The people she took it from called Beacon since that's where her license was issued. The call was then transferred to my husband and he had to deal with the fallout."

.

The two teams were stunned into silence, none of them expecting it to be so bad. They all knew that some of the best racing Bullhead go for tens of millions of Lein easily. So the fact that Summer, Ruby's biological mother and a great, big ball of sunshine, sole one; well, saying they were shocked would be an understatement.

.

Ruby: "Which company did she steal it from?" Ruby asked with her voice filled with trepidation.

Salem: "Albatross Racing." Salem answered her, which caused both teams to stop dead.

Jaune: "Say goodbye to everything you own Ruby, Yang." Jaune said as she shook his head. "Because if anything happens to that ship, then you'll have nothing left afterward."

.

Logan stirred awake as he heard quiet giggles. Soft coos and gurgles slowly made Logan's mind relive the last few hours. Logan slowly opened his eyes and saw the lights of his life, Glynda and Dorothy. Their blonde and cherry blonde hair glowed in the fading sunlight giving them an ethereal look. He could feel his heart beat at a faster pace when the two looked at him and smile.

.

Glynda always had this serious and mature charm around her, but now had a motherly charm mixed in with it made Logan fall in love with her even more. With Dorothy, that charm multiplied countless times to the point where Logan would kill whoever tried to hurt either of them.

.

Elsewhere, the two Brother Gods felt as if their very beings were on the chopping block.

.

A slight smile appeared on his lips as Logan pushed himself up to get a better look at the two of them. As tired as he was, Logan would force himself to stay up if it was for the two of them, be it for days or even a week. With a smile on his face, Logan tentatively reached out with a finger and tickled Dorothy's chin with a slight touch. At first, she was nervous at the approaching finger, but as it lightly touched her chin, she felt a pleasant warmth from it and gurgled in happiness.

.

Complete. That's what Logan felt when Dorothy was born. As if his life couldn't get any better.

.

But he understood what he had to lose now more than ever. It wasn't just failing to save Remnant. No, it was his Friends, Family, Glynda, and now Dorothy. Losing even one of them, Logan had to suppress a shudder at the mere thought of it. And with a possible war on the horizon with Atlas at the least, Logan worried about what the future would hold.

.

Logan: "So, breastfeeding or formula?" Logan asked in hopes of placating his worrying thoughts.

Glynda: "Breastfeeding," Glynda answered. "I like having bras that fit for one. And two, there's too much that can cause problems if I don't. For both me and our girl."

Logan: "But mainly the bras?" Logan asked in a teasing tone.

Glynda: "Quiet it, you." Glynda smirked and shook her head at his tone while rocking Dorothy. "Too many things could happen to the both of us if I didn't."

Logan: "I know," Logan chuckled, "I was right there with you reading the same things. I just can't wait for the two of you to get out of here, I kinda want to brag about Dorothy here." Logan admitted as he lightly boobed Dorothy's button nose, getting a happy gurgle in response.

Glynda: "The doctor came in while you were still asleep." Glynda said after a few minutes. " She said that we'll be able to leave in a few days. They want to keep me here for observation in case something pops up with either me or Dorothy."

Logan: "How long exactly?" Logan asked as he kissed little Dorothy's head.

Glynda: "Two days." Glynda answered. "One to check up on our health and to watch over us, and the second one to allow me to rest and recover."

Logan: "Okay," Logan sighed with a smile adorning his lips, "If you're okay with being here by yourself for those two days, I'll start getting everything Dorothy needs together."

Glynda: "I'll be fine, I have Dorothy here to keep me company," Glynda said to Logan as Dorothy gurgled once again.

Logan: "Then, see you two soon." Logan said as he kissed the two goodbye, "I'll pick the both of you up in two days," and left.

.

The two days passed by for Glynda and Dorothy extremely fast. When it came time for Logan to pick them up, they found him waiting in the lobby for them with bags under his eyes and a thermos full of his 'Liquid Death' coffee. The entire lobby was doing its best to stay away from Logan whenever he opened his thermos. Glynda sighed and used her semblance to close it before Logan could take a sip as she walked up with Dorothy in hand. The small glare from her eyes was enough for Logan to get the message. Logan nodded his head and got to work signing her discharge papers before walking out with Glynda and Dorothy.

.

Outside sat Logan's bike, fully repaired and this time magically reinforced to hell and back. Logan helped Glynda into the sidecar and made sure that she and Dorothy were protected by several layers of magic. Glynda shook her head in mock amazement at the lengths her husband was going to for both her and their daughter. Handing a helmet over to Glynda and making an ash cradle for Dorothy, Logan drove off once the two were as safe as they could be.

.

Though Glynda wasn't sure what Logan did while they were in the hospital, but she couldn't wait to see how he'll be as a father.
