In the Fire (1)

Logan sighed. It had been a full day since he had gotten the mission: The end is neigh. Since then, Logan had been using what contacts he had to see if anything unusual was going around. So far, nothing out of the ordinary had happened. The only thing that seemed to be odd was the number of Grimm attacks was down. That was about it.

.

Glynda: "You still worried about that mission?" Glynda asked as the two watched a sparing match between two first-years.

Logan: "Yea." Logan replied, not taking his eyes off the two. All my contacts say that other than fewer Grimm attacks, there's nothing out of the ordinary." He sighed. "I fear what is to come."

Glynda: "We handle it." Glynda told him, "Together. We can't disappoint our daughter now, can we?

Logan: "No, no we can't." Logan said as he called the match's end.

{With Ruby and Weiss}

.

Ruby sighed and looked out the window of the Schnee family mansion. it had been close to a month since she and Weiss had made it to her family's home and had made it their base of operations. Everything was going well so far, yet Ruby couldn't help but feel something big was happening behind the scenes. Weiss thought Ruby was just overreacting due to her finally getting out of Logan's and her mother's shadow. Ruby thought so as well, but the feeling of something happening wouldn't go away.

.

Weiss: "Ruby, lunch is ready." Weiss said as she carried a tray of sandwiches in with a maid following behind her with a cart and tea set.

Ruby: "Thank you." Ruby said as she took a sandwich as the maid prepare tea for them.

.

A lot had changed since the two got to Atlas. Weiss now wears a pale blue sleeveless dress with deep red lining, a bow detail fixture, and two diamond-shaped pieces hanging from the corners of the hem, over a white diagonal hemmed strapless dress. Above which she wears a vivid blue shrug with a raised collar, puffy sleeves, and the Schnee emblem on the left sleeve, fastened by a blue, silver outlined strap. On her arms are a pair of long navy blue gloves with silver top trim surrounding a red gem at the top. Over her dress, she wears a light blue, corset-styled belt. Around her waist are three white belts with a medium-sized pouch attached to the lowest belt and another pouch attached to the middle belt. The lowest belt crosses over the middle belt. She wears long, pale blue wedge-heel boots with white frill detailing at the top at the front, alongside grayish blue coloring on the toes and navy blue wedged heels. Add in the ruby earrings, she pulls the look off nicely, Ruby thought.

.

Ruby, on the other hand, changed out of the outfit Logan made her since she outgrew it. She had a new outfit, comprised of a black red lined lace-up corset with four buckles hanging loose over a mesh sleeveless top over a white low-cut long-sleeved blouse, as well as a black choker around her neck. She wears a red pleated skirt that is split at the side with a small brown belted strap across the gap, and bright red shorts under it. On her arms, she wears black bracers with large brown buckled straps around the wrist as well as black fingerless gloves. Around her waist, she now has a brown belt with several bullets with a buckle of her emblem on it alongside a pouch on the right side with a Zwei-based emblem and she wears black, thigh-high steel-toe boots with red soles and heels, a single buckled strap, rear seam, and a large brown buckled strap with attached pouches near the top, over a pair of brown mesh tights.

.

But one thing was clear about the clothes, they were far sturdier than normal cloth. Due to them being made of the durafiber cloth that Logan made years ago. Now that it was made for the public, most hunters were clamoring to buy it for the added protection it gave.

.

Weiss: "You still feel as if something is happening, don't you?" Weiss asked once the maid left the room.

Ruby: "I do," Ruby admitted. "I just can't put my finger on it, but something is happening." She said as she rubbed her eye.

Weiss: "Are your eyes still bothering you?" Weiss asked with worry lacing her voice.

Ruby: "A bit, but those eye drops that Klein gave me do help." Ruby told Weiss.

Weiss: "Well that's good." Weiss was relieved to hear. "But if it gets worse, call Logan. It might be an infection or something due to your silver eye lineage."

Ruby: "True, he'll know more than my mom but I don't want to disturb him during his classes." Ruby reasoned. "But I should call my mom since it's been over a month since I last called her and dad."

Weiss: "Do that after Lunch." Weiss told her, "I want to enjoy this time with you."

Ruby: "Lovely-dovely Weiss for the win!" Ruby cheered and then got smacked on the forehead by Weiss.

Summer sighed. It had been a good few months since she heard from her duaghters. Yet she believed in the old saying, 'No news is good news'. As she layed in bed with her husband, spooning each other, Summer couldn't help but feel restless. Her eyes ictched and she felt a sense of forboding that wouldn't go away.

.

Sighing, Summer extracted herself from her husband, Tai, and creept out of their room. From there, she made her way quietly down to the kitchen. There she took a glass from a cabinet and filled it up from the kitchen sink. Summer hummed in silent content as she felt the cool water mosturize her throat. But, when she opened her eyes, she screamed.

.

Tai, hearing the scream, rushed down the stairs and into the kitchen in a matter of seconds.

.

Tai: "Summer! What's wrong?!" Tai shouted as he entered the kitchen.

.

Summer couldn't speak. Her eyes were glued to the window behind the sink. Tai, not knowing what she screamed for, followed her line of sight. What he saw surpried and scared him.

.

The moon was glowing in a myiad of colors. But the biggest surpise wasn't that. It was the moon itself.

.

The moon, was whole once again.
