Chapter 1

Sitting on a chair, Jane keeps reading her favorite novel, where when the princess at her worst her knight in shining armor will appear. She hopes one day, maybe just one day her prince will appear. Jane laugh at herself.

'Who will fall for me anyway?' She asked herself. Jane hate human being, They are so cruel and rude, that's why she hate them.

She closes the book that she's reading when she saw her mom entering her room. Even though she's deaf, she definitely knows what her mom will tell her. Her mom smiles when she sees Jane, she get some white paper and a pen, and she writes what she wanted to tell jane.

'How are you sweetie?' Is what her mother wrote on the paper, Jane smiles and write something on the pad that's always on her lap.

'I'm fine mom. Thank you for asking.' Is what jane wrote to her pad to answer the question of her mother. Her mother smiles, and wrote something again.

'You know, you should see the sun sweetie, why not try to get out and get fresh air?'

Jane shrugs of what her mother wrote. She laughs in her mind again, and think to herself  'If I get out, I'll suffer more.'

Jane's mom knew that her daughter is sad again, he quietly sighed and close the door slowly, leaving Jane alone. She felt sad, and her heart aches, if only she could be deaf and not Jane she's willing to do it.

"How's she?" Her husband asked her, she shrugs and a tear escaped from her eyes, her husband is sad seeing her lovely wife cry so he hurriedly hug her wife while shushing her.

"She'll be fine. Don't worry."He said, Jane's mom can't stop herself from crying, when her husband is also comforting her, she cries painfully.

They both hug for a moment, without them knowing that Jane sees the scene. Jane was about to get a bottle of water from the kitchen but she stops when she sees her mom and dad hugging, she thought that they're having their sweet moments but she gets sad when she saw her mother crying. 'Why is my mom crying?' She asked herself, but then ignore it and she gets back to her room.

Jane search for another book for her to read but when realizes she reads them all, she pouted. Well who won't finish a ten new books in one day? Like hello? She's been inside the house for 18 years, how can she not love to read books? She quickly wrote something on her pad and headed to her mother. Her mother and father is no longer in the kitchen, she search for them in the whole house but she can't find them.

'Where are they?' She asked herself, she was about to head upstairs but decided to stop when she sees their front gate open. Jane mumbles something that even her doesn't know what she mumbles.

Jane was about to get out of their house to close the open gate when she realizes something. Her heart beats fast, Her hands and knees are shaking. She's afraid being touch by the sun, and afraid that humans might see her. She decided to close the gate just for a second, she look at her side, in left and right, and when she saw no one, she quickly run, and quickly close the open gate within five seconds!

Jane felt proud of herself, who else won't be? I mean she run and closes the gate for just five seconds! That's quite a new record ha. Jane smiles and keeps thinking that running and closing the gate is a bit challenging, and she likes challenges.

Jane enters their house and closes the front door, she dance happily because she discovers a new challenge. She climb upstairs and when she enters her room, she felt bored.

'Aw! I'm so bored, I don't even have books to read.' She said to herself. Jane lies at her bed and in just a snap she drifted off to sleep.

Few hours had past, Jane is still sleeping and her parents arrived. Jen the mother of jane realizes something, she forgot to close the front gate but when she came back, the front gate is close. 'Who will close it?' She asked to herself, she was thinking that it was Jane but she knew that Jane doesn't get out of their house.

When she enters the house, she put away the things that she bought from the mall. Her husband follows her and enters the house, her husband, Jay, brought new books for his daughter jane. They decided to go to the mall when his wife stops crying, they don't bother to tell jane about it earlier because they knew that she's busy reading books.

Jay climb upstairs and slowly open the door, he sees Jane sleeping peacefully. He hopes that one day, Jane will be this peaceful when she's around the crowd, and when she decided to go outside, he hopes that his daughter will have a happy life, he kisses Jane's forehead and he puts the book in her desk, he close the door and leave.

Jay's phone suddenly rings, he answered it without knowing who the caller is.

"Hello?" He ask through the phone, he can hear crowds passing by through the other line.

"Hey! Is this Mr.Jay Merzmé?" The man on the other line ask. "Yes."Jay answers, and head to the kitchen where his wife is, he smiles to his wife who's cooking and her wife jen smiles back.

"Do you remember me Mr. Merzmé? I'm Mr. Stone." The man on the other line said, Jay forehead creases, and he suddenly felt nervous. 'This man on the other line sounds and speaks powerful.' He said to himself, while trying to remember the man called 'Mr. Stones.' He puts his phone away from him and ask his wife.

"Do you know who's Mr. Stone?" He asked confused. Jen suddenly gasp. The plate that she's holding are now scattered along the floor. Jay's still confused. "Are you alright?" He ask her wife, worriedly. Jen's hand started trembling. 'No! This can't be the time!' Jen said to herself.
