The Separation of a Family

Now time passed and the day went by. Leon ate dinner and went up to his room. He turned to look as the door as it opened it was his other holding a marron metalic case. She walked into the room and clashed the door.

"Leon, Mom has something to tell you. Come sit here, it'll take some time." Sandra said as she pulled the chair for Leon's desk out and placed the metallic case on the desk.

Leon sat on the chair and wanted to hear what his mother was going to say. He was actually curious since this hadn't happened in his past life. He had never seen that case, and never seen such a solemn expression on his mother.

"Leon, You know mom and you are different from everyone else in the clan. We both haven't been able to cultivate and can't manifest a soul book." She paused to see Leon's expression.

Leon nodded and had a clear look in his eyes. The Eyes told his mother that he had accepted it but he was unwilling to just let it go as it is. He still wanted to cultivate.

Internally Leon thought, "I should be able to form a soul seed soon, I just need to fuse with the younger soul completely. But let's see where she's going with this."

Sandra sighed seeing Leon's eyes, "We both should have been able to cultivate. You were born with high talent and could easily become the most talented person in the clan, No the continent." Sandra looked at Leon with a new ferocity.

"But that lightning strike ruined not only mine but your future as well..." Now back to a helpless tone.

Sandra had tears fill her eyes as she thought of the next thing she was going to stay.

"Leon, Mom's sorry, it's all my fault that I've caused you to suffer for so long. The day before you were suppose to be born I used a forbidden art to remove most of my bloodline from your body."

"What?" Leon finally spoke. Now this was something he wasn't expecting. He had long since thought his mom was most likely form the Flameless Clan. They were the only clan that had maroon hair on the Fire Continent.

The Flameless Clan was a hidden clan formed by an ancient war hero of the Fire contient. Located in the red fog zone on mount Vermillion. It couldn't be found as the fog was impossible to go through, it had an illusion effect that would always send you back out.

Leon knew this as he had fought the Flameless Clan in his last life. One of their members had even left a profound effect on him.

He had thought that his mother was from the Clan in his past life. But he didn't carry their bloodline and wasnt able to use this arts or techniques so then just went with the maroon hair was a mutation.

"It was the forbidden art that caused the lightning and ruined your life. Mom is so sorry." Sandra said as she hugged Leon.

"Wait, she thinks she caused the lightning... well she obviously wouldn't have thought that her son would turn into an enemy of the heavens and then come back in time, making the heavens even more furious." Leon throughout.

Sandra stood up again and wiped away the tears. "Now, Leon your mother is actually form a clan known as the Flameless Clan. We are a hidden clan so you won't find anything about us, but all members have maroon hair. Your mum ran away from the Clan and broke away all contact with them. I had decided that when my child would be born I would remove most of the Flameless bloodline in them so Flameless Clan would not seek you out.

But what I didn't expect was that such a talent would be born. You had such a high density of the Flameless bloodline with such high talent it was impossible to remove your bloodline without reining your talent a little. In the end I was headstrong since I had already decided it and I went through with it.

It was because of the forbidden art. The heavens were furious and struck us at the time you were born. Your talent had already weakened and then you turned into a cripple."

Leon had a surprise face the whole time. Things started making sense, in his past life he had a blessing for the fire element but didn't have as high a affinity. It was always something that bothered him. Now he understood why.

But he also couldn't believe his mother thought the heavens would punish her for using such a shitty forbidden art. It was an art thought to be evil. But the heavens couldn't careless about anything that didn't defy them.

Clearly the heavens didn't care in his last life, in this life they probably used it as an excuse to attack.

Sandra continued, "I contacted my clan and they sent this box. Leon pour a drop of your blood on it."

Leon nodded, he bit his finger and poured his blood on.

Ting

"You still have the Flameless Bloodline, only we can open this case."

The lock broke opened. Then his mother pulled the case open to show what was inside.

There were three things. One was a maroon book with the words written on. The other two were a dark red orb and a vial of blood.

"Leon take this, You still have three months till the awakening ceremony, If you practice this technique to the first level you will be able to awaken your soul book. This is all mom can do for you now." Sandra smiled and left.

Leon looked at the box and then looked at his mother leaving and sighed.

He went back to the box. The vial of blood was the easiest to identify it was his bloodline. The blood and marrow that had been taken out by his mother on the day before he was born.

Leon wasn't particularly interested in it. The one was great as well. It was a sealing orb that sealed a Flame called . It was a strong fire and went perfect with the Flameless soul technique.

Leon didn't need to open the book to learn what the technique was, he already knew the just of its effects. It was the technique created by the hero during a war 3000 years ago. It had the user sacrifice fire to make your soul stronger.

If he used it, he would be able to heal his soul and form A soul seed. That was if his soul was injured, but it had been protected by the slaughter qi and didn't need this rather it just needed to fuse with the younger soul.

Leon closed the box and let it lock again. He then kept it away in his spatial ring.

Outside Sandra still had her eyes wet as she went to her room.

...

During the night Sandra got up, she looked at david one last time. She passed by Leon's room but dare enter it, or she wouldn't be able to leave.

She walked out the house as quietly as possible. A shadow flashed and appeared next to her. It was a man with similar maroon hair. He put his hand out and Sandra grabbed it.

They then flashed and appeared instantly at the edge of the city about to enter the desert of desolation.

Sandra stood and looked back. She couldn't see her house from their but she felt it in her heart. Tears started to pour out of her eyes. She didn't get to say goodbye rather she couldn't even if she wanted to.

The man next to her sighed, "You should have thought this through more if you were going to open the case, I told you the moment you open it the clan would have to take you back."

Seeing Sandra still crying so much the man pulled her into his arms and tried to consol her, Sandra didn't reject it either.

The man sighed, "I need to have a talk with my brother in law for hurting my sister so much."

Sandra stopped crying and said, "The clan said you wouldn't do anything to them if I left."

"I know, and I'll make sure that happens. Now let's go."

The man turned and started walking into the desert. Sandra looked back one last time and followed behind.

Back in the house. Leon sat on his bed with his window open. His eyes red with slaughter qi as he looked out the window with melancholy. The world was a lot darker then usual. The fire in the night sky was dim. The moon hidden behind clouds and no one outside.

In the silent night and darkness only the wind made sound.

"So mother did leave." Leon said. His slaughter qi enhanced eyes trying to see far enough to see his mother. He saw the two shadows disappear.

Leon sighed, he expected this to happen the moment his mother had confirmed she was from the Flameless Clan. Such ancient clans cared a lot about their Bloodline and protecting it.

His mother should have had a special position in the Flameless Clan to be able to run away and not be chased and then return to the Clan without them removing himself and his father.

Leon then looked back into his house.

David was snoring loudly on his bed in a spread out position. His eyes a little wet as a year drop rolled down.

Leon shook his head and fell asleep again.
