Abigail's fight (1)

Abigail looked around quickly, she would have to admit defeat if she couldn't think of a way to deal with the lightning Needles.

"Since you aren't admiring defeat..." Leon said as he told the Griffin to attack.

The needles like thousands of Lightning builds attacked Abigail. The Firelight Lion jumped into the needles in front of it to block them. Seeing the opening opened by the Lion the King Sunset Crow flashed and came out of the dome with Abigial and the Sunlight Archer.

Abigail turned to see her injured Lion. Leon had clearly held back but it was still seriously injured. She unsummoned it and turned furious as she looked at Leon.

Abigail jumped of the crow and said, "End him and the Griffin."

The Sunlight Archer stood on the Crow and pulled back on another arrow. But by the time she had pulled completely back Leon saw the world turn black.

He was surprised and said, "Eclipse arrow?"

"Did he just say eclipse arrow?"

"Isn't that the ability that takes your sight away and-" The person turned to see the arrow held by the Sunlight Archer get brighter.

The sunset crow used Lightspeed and entered in another realm of speed with the Sunlight Archer. It flashed in front of the Griffin with the arrow at point blank to its head. Leon would also be hit by it as he stood behind it.

As the arrow was about to be released. Leon had started smirking.

Abigail's strategy of using the eclipse arrow to blind the opponent then with the help of the Sunset Crow make the arrow stronger and flash in front of the opponent so they can't dodge was the best strategy he had seen so far. Sadly she was dealing with the Griffin with the eyes of Basilisk. It wasn't blinded by the arrow. Neither was it effected by the extreme speed. With the Basilisk eye it could see all their movements.

As the arrow was about to be released the Griffin raised its head at insane speeds and formed a magic circle in its mouth instantly. With magic circle pointed directly at the beasts' non lethal parts, it fired a lightning bolt.

Everyone was about to see the arrow shoot saw a lightning bolt. The world seem to return back to normal speeds. The two beast summoned by Abigail were thrown back. They had scorch marks on their body and parts of their body had been blown off.

Abigail watched dismayed. She quickly fed her beasts some pills and unsummoned them to recover.

Leon watched the Griffin while nodding. The last ability was a spell the Griffin had come up after it had reached forty runes in the Lightning God's Armor art. Inspired by such a strong art it was obviously strong.

Abigail walked to Leon, "Since I have lost to you I'll act as your maid for three days."

Before Leon could say anything Oren appeared. "Abigail use this to heal your beasts. Well done in the fight. I liked the combination use of the two beasts. It just needs a little tweaking and it could be a real trump card."

As for Leon he walked away, he felt like he had done enough for today. Tomorrow he would motivate someone else. Till then he was going out to train his beasts. They were all strong in combat compared to everyone here but he knew that he had barely broken into the true combat strength of any of his beasts.

Irene watched Leon disappear into the forest. She then looked at everyone else. "Okay that has been enough playing around. Now you should start fighting beasts and training."

Abigail had been feeding the medicine that Oren had given her to her beasts. She looked up to see Leon gone. She still had her part of the bet to uphold.

Harris saw this and said, "Leon already left. He seems to have gone train by himself."

Wick asked, "Teacher Oren isn't Leon leaving team a violation of the training rules?"

"We are still quite far away from the actual outer region of Mount Vulcan so the beasts here aren't as strong. With his strength he'll be fine. So I'll allow him to train for a while alone."

Wick frowned but let it go. He then called everyone together. Then he left with them to fight beasts. Abigail was the only one who hadn't left with them. Her beasts had mostly healed thanks to the medicine Oren had given her. She said thanks to Oren and followed Leon.

Although she didn't want to act as a maid, her upbringing as a member of the Sunset Family forced her to be true to her word.

Irene and Oren waited. They used their soul energy to keep track of everyone and summoned beasts to look after them.

Leon summoned the Dragon and Phoenix again. The Phoenix sat on his head and tweeted cutely as it complained to Leon for not summoning it any more. The Dragon was in its snake from as it hung around Leon's neck.

Leon planned on training the Griffin and letting the chimera fight around more. He didn't think it was right time for the Blood Angel to be summoned yet, Oren and Irene were watching him. The Phoenix was a heavenly beast that looked like a completely normal baby Bird. Unless you got close and touched it you wouldn't even be able to tell it was special. It was also why Leon had been so underwhelmed when it had hatched.

Leon couldn't also use formless aura as it would just break it away.

The Chimera was also disguised as a dream Fire Tiger. It's dream element had grown stronger after eating the dream soul evolution fruit. It made sure to show some changes as from its previous form.

It was still at one Greenstar. Leon was also stuck at Level one summoning expert. From summoning expert onwards cultivation slowed down exponentially.

The dream Fire Tiger quickly found a beast to fight. It fun as it killed it slowly. It continued to claw it slowly.

The Griffin also found a beast to fight. It attacked with lightning Needles. It followed up with a lightning hammer. It continued to cycle through the few spells it knew as it fought. Out if all Leon's beast that could use magic it knew the fewest spells.

Leon watched the beasts fight. He didn't say much about the Pride beast's fight. It was the most battle proficient beast he had contracted at the moment. He however continued to correct the movements and attacks of the Griffin.

The Griffin improved, it used the Lightning God's Armor, with it the battle was easy. It was still just an outer shell with no real depth but it was still as strong as a normal armor ability.

Leon sat down on a tree branch as he watched the Griffin kill the beast and look for another opponent. He took out the bottle with the soul dew and drank some of it and started cultivating the Nine Thrones soul technique.

In the Nine Thrones soul technique he had reached the fourth throne but he couldn't progress anymore.

Four miniture thrones formed behind him. The thrones spun as the floated behind him. He couldn't even from the shadow of the fifth throne.

"There is something wrong with the Nine Thrones soul technique. The Fifth throne is hard to completely form but I could feel some signs of it on the first day of training. For some reason it feels unreachable." Leon thought.

He took the bottle of soul dew and chugged the whole thing down. He then carefully watched where all the energy went as he cultivated. The energy flowed to both of his soul books and was instantly consumed by both but didn't show any progress.

"It's because I'm using the soul technique to cultivate two soul books at once? Does that mean I'm stuck on this level forever?!" Leon took a deep breath. "Even if I am I can still contract eight beasts which is already a lot. I have two contract spots left. I'll have to use them more carefully."

As Leon was thinking he heard someone running towards him. He turned to see Abigail, She also saw Leon.

She walked to the tree Leon was sitting on. Leon didn't look like he was going to come down so she climbed up to a beach next to Leon.

Abigail stood on the branch and looked down at Leon as she said, "I'm here to fulfill my part of the bet."

"I didn't know you wanted to be my maid so badly, You even chased me all the way here." Leon said with a smirk.

Abigail seemed to already expect Leon saying something like that, "I'll follow you around for three days and help you in battle, then my part of that bet will be complete."

"Very well, if you must follow me around I'll make sure to not waste this opportunity and make the most out of this." Leon said as he jumped down.

The Griffin flew back to him. It had killed another beast and gave the runic core it dug out to Leon. Leon kept it away in his spatial ring and petted the Griffin.

Abigail stood next to the scene and didn't know what to do.

"There's a beast approaching I want you to fight it." Leon said as he jumped back with the Griffin.

Abigail was surprised she couldn't sense any beast. It was around a second she felt the imminent danger. The King Sunset Crow was already waiting on a tree nearby. It flashed and carried Abigial out of the range from the attack.

The ground Abigial and Leon were standing on was Burst open by a giant True Mud worm. The large brown twenty meter long worm like a dolphin jumped out and entered the ground again.

Abigail stood on the Sunset Crow that had flown up and kept her out of reach from the worm.
