The Dragon carried Leon out and all the beasts followed him out as well. They didn't find anything else valuable.
Leon had the Dragon take him back to the Overlord Cherry Blossom Tree.
It had been a day since he left so he still had lots of time till Oren came back.
Leon landed in front of the Tree and checked his body for a change. He couldn't feel anything different. The pill had entered his mouth and disappeared.
"Maybe because I'm not injured." Leon took out a knife from his spatial ring and cut himself. However the golden sheen he was expecting didn't appear.
"It didn't give me the ability to regenerate?" Leon felt a headache coming. He sighed and forgot about. He had had his beasts check his body for anything abnormal but they didn't find anything. So he was sure he was safe For now.
Leon looked at the flower he had contracted. It was still a bud but it had now grown much bigger. It was now the size of a round fruit. Leon could feel some life in it. He was happy with it and cultivated the Nine Thrones soul technique under the Tree for the next four days.
Leon had all the beasts return and ride the Dragon back to Flower Dance City. The journey was quick. Near the city, but far enough so he wouldn't be sensed Leon got off the Dragon. He started unsummoning the beasts. Just as he was about to unsummon Ariel she told Leon that she didn't want to be unsummoned. She wanted to enter the city of people and was curious to how it would look.
Leon looked at her and didn't know what to say. If it was any other beast he wouldn't have even thought about it and unsummoned them. But Ariel had evolved from a low tier beast into an angel. She would be amazing to have in a fight. He didn't want to get on her bad side either. He thought about it and decided that he would let her into the City with him so he could build a stronger bond.
"I can't really let you go in like th-" Before Leon could even finish Ariel had transformed. Her wings and halo had disappeared. The spell book had shrunk down and become a necklace. She had shoes form as she touched the ground. They had long red ribbons that wrapped up her legs.
Leon looked at her. She looked like a perfectly normal young girl.
"Fine let's go." Leon put his hand out. Ariel stared at his hand and didn't know what to do.
Leon walked up and grabbed her hand. "You aren't letting go of my hand no matter what." He then walked with her to the City gate.
When holding her hand Leon had tried to sense any holy or blood energy but couldn't. He tried as much as he could until he was sure her disguise was perfect.
Along the way he had summoned the Dragon and had it hide underneath his collar. He decided it was better to have the Dragon with him. He wasn't sure what this girl would suddenly do. He still wasn't strong enough to react in time if she attacks. Which was also why he held her hand.
The walk was long. Leon had the Dragon drop him off quite far away for safety. His beasts had strong auras that wasn't hard to detect.
Leon had been planned on entering the city through the front gate. He would form an entrance Token and roam the city and then go back to the houses near the arena.
After reaching the gate Leon passed through and paid a toll. The man looked at Leon and then at Ariel and smiled. Ariel looked adorable in her clothes.
"Why are you two visiting?"
"We both came to watch the Three continental competition. I heard that any city it happens at have their inns completely booked four months before so I left early with my sister to get a spot." Leon said with a laugh.
"Young man you came at the perfect time! The Team from the Fire Continent had arrived and I hear that Team from the blood continent is on its way." The man said with excitement.
"Wow, A team arrived! hopefully we can see them." Leon said with stars in his eyes. While Ariel next to him nodded to show she was excited as well.
The man laughed at their reaction and gave Leon an entrance token. "This token is for you and your sister keep it safe, its what you'll need to leave the city as well."
"Thanks uncle." Leon said and walked in with Ariel.
The man continued his work.
Leon kept the token away and entered the city. He walked around for a while and noticed that people were staring at him. At first he though they were just staring at Ariel but then as he passed by a shop window and saw what they looked like he was taken back.
Leon had been wearing some causal old clothes he had kept in his spatial ring. The clothes had been torn and were covered in mud because he had to do that whole act to find the emerald box. While he looked like a mess, Ariel next to him wore clothes that looked almost angleic. Not only were her clothes clean they looked to be made from the highest quality of cloth. She looked like the daughter of a rich girl.
Leon quickly walked into an Alley. He set his body on fire and removed the dirt then wore the uniform for the three continental competition.
Leon looked at himself at the shop window and was satisfied. They now looked like siblings.
Ariel had been staring at the people passing. She would scrutinize the buildings and even stare at the flowers while walking by. She looked at the food stalls and wondered why that was.
Leon grabbed her hand again, be continued to walk. Ariel would ask him questions through the blood oath bond and Leon answered.
Leon continued walking until he reached the houses where he lived. He had already shown Ariel the whole city and this was the last part.
As Leon turned to find another place Flint who was returning saw him. Flint smiled seeing Leon and ran to him waving.
"Leon! We all thought you ran away! You disappeared and didn't come back to the house..." Flint stopped in front of Leon and stared at Ariel. "You have a sister?"
"My parents have arrived to the city so I was staying with them for a while."
"Oh! your family's already here My parents said they would make it to the tournament. I don't know when they'll arrive to the City." Flint said. He then changed the topic, "Odin had been looking for you as well. He wants you help in his fighting techniques, he asked everyone to tell him if they say see you."
Leon nodded and started walking to his house. He decided it was better to go to a more private area before everyone sees Ariel.
"Leon-" Before Flint could continue.
"Leon?" Another voice could be heard. It was Odin. He had been walking to his house as well.
"Leon like I said earlier, I want to spar with you." Odin changed direction and walked in front of Leon.
"Sure Let's go." Leon said yes as he still had to do his duty as captain and didn't look like a distraction would appear out of no where this time.
Leon walked with Ariel to an open field made for practice fights. Odin and Flint had walked in Front. Flint sat at the side. Leon left Ariel there as well.
Leon and Odin both moved to the open area and faced each other.
"I want to battle you using weapon arts." Odin said. He focused mainly on combat with Weapons and needed a sparing partner. Jolene used the spear but wasn't good enough. There was Albert and his summoned beasts. but he had spared with Albert multiple times already and needed something different.
Leon nodded and formed a sword out of ice. He was going to fight using only one sword.
Albert nodded and summoned the Twin Shadow Fish.
They both looked each other in the eyed and sprinted at each other.
As they both fought Flint sat to the side and watched. He wasn't particularly good at hand to hand combat, he had learned to use the sword from a young age but wasn't talented at it.
So he watched with the intention of learning. Summoners who were good at using a weapon and control a beast were rare. It was like adding another beast to the field. It was one of the reasons why Leon was overpowered in battle.
The sound of sword hitting could be heard. It didn't take Long for more people to come by.
Abigail heard the sound and came to watch since she didn't have anything better to do. She saw Leon fighting with Odin. She walked next to Flint, "Where was Leon?"
"He said he was with his family." Flint replied while watching the fight.
Abigail turned to see Ariel sitting on the ground a few meters away.
"Whose that?" Abigail asked.
"Leon's sister." Flint said.
"Leon's sister?"Abigail was surprised. She walked next to Ariel and said, "Hi, I'm Abigail, What's your name?"
Ariel looked at Abigail and didn't say anything. She then turned to watch Leon fight.
Abigail didn't know that to say, "She's his sister alright. They both don't like to talk much." Abigail sat next to Ariel and took out a snack to eat as she watched the fight, "Do you want one?" Abigail asked.
The snack was soul cookies. It was an altered form of soul dew. The cookies had less energy and were easily digested and helped cultivation. A packet contained as much energy as one drop of Soil dew. Eating one directly helped the cultivation and you didn't need to sit and run the technique.
Ariel took a cookie and ate as she watched. Abigail watched Ariel eat and thought, "She looks like an angel." Abigail then continued to eat her cookies and watch the fight.
Leon used one sword and always aimed for the openings in Odin's form. Leon didn't have an art that he specifically trained in but had formed his style of fighting by picking up a technique here and there as he fought in his past life. If he fought a true master of the sword he would easily lose but someone young like Odin who had barely trained was easy.
"Odin you have improved."
"You've improved to." Odin said looking back at Leon.
"Have I? I don't think I have." Leon thought. He just let it go and continued to fight.
After a few quick stabs Leon broke Odin's formation and placed the sword at his neck. Odin surrendered.
"I see where I have to improve, I'll ask you to fight me again to measure my progress." Odin said and left.
"I'll happily spar you then as well."
Leon then turned to See Ariel. She had been asking Leon what to do when Abigail had sit down with her.
"Abigail great to see you! How have you been?"
"Leon I'm wonderful. I've met your sister here but she doesn't seem to like me very much." Abigail said.
"No, she's just very shy. I think she likes, she doesn't usually eat things given by strangers." Leon said while walking to his house. Ariel got up and followed him as well.
After spending the whole day with Ariel introducing her to the City and human lifestyle Leon felt it was safe to let her go. She wouldn't do anything out of the blue anymore.
Abigail and Leon talked for a while. Leon then entered the house he had chosen at the beginning.
"I have to meet Flavia for a spar in ten minutes so I need to go get ready." Abigail said and left Leon.
Leon walked into the house with Ariel. As he looked around it since it was his first time entering he talked with Ariel through the blood oath.
"So what do you think, can I unsummoned you now?"
"No, I think I understand what I'll need for next evolution."
"You saw the material that you'll need for evolution?" Leon asked.
"No, for a full evolution of high potential beasts more is needed then just materials, The beast needs knowledge."
"What?" Leon didn't know this. But thinking of his past life experience, it did make sense. When his beasts reached a high potential when he gave them materials they wouldn't change much and would soon die. So he had opted to capturing high level beasts.
"So what knowledge do you need to know?"
"I need to learn about the law of Blood and the true essence of the Holy element. With it I need to have an understanding of the world and its people."
"I see, by the way what will you evolve into?"
"I'll evolve into a High tier Blood Angel when I master the conditions."
"Then what beast are you now. Plus do you know your potential."
"I'm a low tier Blood Angel, with the potential of eleven voidstars."
Leon nodded as he returned to the furnished living room he sat opposite to Ariel and asked, "So you'll need to live as a human?"
"Right."
Leon sighed, "Looks like I have a new sister now."
