Leon had jumped on the Dragon and had it use ghost walk straight to the bottom of the cliff. The other beasts didn't dally and used their abilities to follow. Leon told them while going down to look for an emerald box or anything else valuable.
Ariel teleported using Bloodport to the bottom and looked around. That others beast used their methods and went in separate directions.
Leon wasn't sure where the pill was so he had to look around. Entering the bottom of the gorge he felt familiar with the scenery. The few stalks of grass. The one dead flower, a wet patch of soil.
Leon had the Dragon look use its senses. It however told Leon that it couldn't sense anything. Leon expected as much. That emerald box probably had a high level hiding formation.
Leon tried to remember where he had found the box. The scenery was familiar but he couldn't remember. He got off the Dragon and sat against the wall of the cliff and looked up at the moon. This was the position he had been in, when severely injured, on his third awaken night.
Everything seem to come back. He acted just as he had in his past life. He fell to his side and started staging himself forward across the floor. He had been thirsty and thought he might have found water underneath the damp soil. He got to the soil and had flicked his hand to remove as much soil as possible but as he did he got dirt in his eyes.
Leon followed those movements and started coughing and rubbing his eyes as he was on his side lying done next to the soil. He opened his a bit and could barely see anything. He really wondered what type of soil that was.
In his hazy vision he saw a pool if water he dragged his body to it and tried to reach his hand in and take a sip of water. However when he put his hand in it didn't feel anything wet. So he continued to look until he finally touched something. It was a box. He pulled the box out with all his strength and flung it into the air. The box then fell next to him.
Leon fell on his back and took a deep breath. He had found it.
The Dragon watched this whole thing wide eyed. Leon had just put his hand into the ground and taken out a box from it. It flew next to it and shrunk to its small size. It tried to go through the ground but it couldn't go through. It scrutinized the spot for a formation but couldn't see one.
It gave it one last look and move back to Leon. The Phoenix that had been sitting on the Dragon jumped off and stared at the emerald box.
Leon wasn't injured this time so he got up and patted himself off. He cleared the dirt from his eyes and looked at the box.
It was exactly the same as it was in his past life. After throwing it up once he had never been able to pick it up again. He walked to it and tried to pick it up. But He still couldn't. He looked towards the Dragon.
The Dragon understood. It transformed and tried to pick the box the box up. It didn't work. It formed ice chains to bind and pull the box. The box shook a little. That was all.
"Leave it then, I can't take it now either." Leon walked up to the box and opened it.
It had the same pill and book. He tried to pick up the book and still couldn't. He opened the book and saw the Nine thrones soul technique. He then tried to flip to the next page. He used all his strength in hope to see what else was in this book.
The page flipped over easily. Leon took a deep breath and stared at the pages. Their were two pages he could see. One he couldn't understand anything and the other had the picture of the pill in the box with some writing.
Leon tried to flip to the next page but couldn't. Seeing this was all he had tried to understand it. The first new page went over his head. He couldn't even understand a single word. He knew most languages on this planet yet none of them were similar to the one written here. He turned to the Dragon and had it try to read it.
Dragon's had knowledge passed down through their blood. The Dragon Tongue they spoke could only done by dragons. It was also the language that helped in creation of almost all languages on this planet. As it was the origin Leon expected the Dragon to be able to understand it.
The Dragon looked at the page and shook its head. It didn't understand a thing. Leon was surprised he looked at the phoenix who was also looking in the box at the page. The Phoenix shook its head as well.
Leon called all the other beasts here. The Orit came first it looked at the page and didn't understand a thing. So Leon was sure it wasn't a language from Hell either.
The Chimera looked at it with its three heads. It had a much stronger processing power with three heads and tried to understand the passage. After staring it shook its head.
Ariel came after all of them. She stared at the page and looked at it curiously. She opened she spell book and flipped through the pages as if comparing the words. After a while she wrote something in her spell book and shut it.
Leon wanted to see what was written in her spell book but she had blocked all sight into it. He checked with the Dragon and it said that it couldn't see a thing to.
"So did you understand anything?" Leon asked. Since she wrote something she might have understood the passage a little.
Ariel shook her head and told Leon she liked a word written in the passage so she copied it in her spell book. Leon nodded and looked at the passage again. He looked through the whole thing and still didn't understand anything but he felt it was a little different.
The Griffin finally arrived. Leon was happy to see it. The Griffin had the eyes of a Basilisk. They might be able to see through this language and tell him what it was about.
The Griffin came and read through the whole passage. It's eyes had black stars form and blood started come down as tears. Leon and the Dragon quickly pulled it back.
The guardian's eyes returned to normal. It blinked a bit and stared at Leon.
"What happened?"
The Griffin respond with a shake of its head. It had looked through the whole passage when it's eyes changed and it had lost conscious for a second. When Leon and the Dragon had pulled it back it had regained consciousness and couldn't remember anything.
Leon started running his chin.
"This might be dangerous, I think we should forget about it for now."
As Leon said that the Storm Spirit Butterfly came. Leon decided to let it try as well. Tiihe butterfly landed on the edge of the box and stared in at the passage.
A few minutes passed and Leon got close to pull it out. It had stared the longest and Leon wasn't sure what the passage would do to it. As he walked close to it he noticed the whole passage was gone. The page was blank.
The neon blue butterfly was covered with words moving all over its body. Leon freaked out. He hadn't seen anything like this before. He was going to reach for that butterfly but the Dragon stopped him.
The other beasts also watched the Butterfly. The words were crawling all over its body. The butterfly opened its wings and flapped the words came off and formed a sphere around it. The moment the flap stopped the words entered its body.
The butterfly went back to normal and flew along. Like the Griffin it didn't remember anything.
Seeing that it was fine Leon moved on and looked at the next page about the pill. He did regret not forming a blood oath with the butterfly or he might have been able to have a better idea of what happened.
Leon picked up the golden and emerald pill and looked at what the writing said about it. It was written in an ancient language but he could understand it.
"This pill is called the Immortal Luck pill. Only someone destined to eat will be able to eat it. However the destined one will never remain the same. Like the future the destined one is ever changing. If you are destined and have eaten the pill it will give you an ability."
Leon read the short passage out loud and looked at the pill. "Immortal Luck pill, huh?"
"It doesn't say anything about a regeneration ability, rather the passage says it'll give an ability. Does that mean it'll give a random ability?"
Leon looked at his beasts for answers. They didn't have much to say. Leon thought of keeping the pill and eating it later but the passage seemed to emphasize that a destined one would change.
"I've already eaten it once." Leon tossed the pill into his mouth and had the Dragon take him out. An hour was close to passing.
