Leon took out the atlas he had gotten from the Bloodling treasury. He flipped through it and found the nature continent.
"Rose Thorn City's to the north of here, so I'll go about with this route." Leon said as he dragged his finger across the map. He then kept it away in his spatial ring and jumped on the Dragon.
Ariel and the Butterfly also jumped on. Leon called the Butterfly over, he let it sit on his hand and examined it. He hadn't gotten a chance since the moonlight Cliff.
Leon used his soul energy to inspect the Butterfly's body, as he did he asked, "Have you felt a change since that day, did you get weaker? Or maybe stronger?"
That butterfly told Leon that it didn't fell anything different. It knew that all those words entered its body but it couldn't sense them at all.
Leon took out his soul energy and stared at the Butterfly wondering what to do. Ariel saw what Leon was doing and moved towards him.
Ariel stared at Leon and opened her mouth and said, "Help." Leon had his eyes widen. This was the first time any of his beasts had said anything in the human language. He knew Ariel could speak the language of the Angel's but he didn't understand it so he used the blood oath to communicate normally.
Leon expected Ariel to learn the language soon but just not this quickly. She was already speaking her first few words.
Leon understood what Ariel wanted to do. She wanted to help him inspect the Butterfly. Leon accepted the help.
Ariel sat on the Dragon next to Leon, she opened her book and started casting a spell. Three magic circles formed around the butterfly the magic circles over lapped and then pushed apart. One magic circle entered the Butterfly while the other two floated around it.
Ariel looked at Leon, "Use."
Leon understood he put one hand on each magic circle and closed his eyes. The spell Ariel had used was an inspection spell. It analysed the body using the magic circle. It then conveyed that to the user. Leon slowly moved the magic circle in the Butterfly's body around. After scrutinizing the Butterfly for hours he understood that it wasn't working. He let the two magic circles go.
Ariel saw that this didn't work and started casting another spell. The spell was longer then the last one and was also much stronger. Her ruby eyes turned golden. A few minutes later her eyes returned to normal.
"Didn't work." Ariel said.
"Indeed it didn't, we'll have to visit the Lightning Continent and see if we can find anything about that language in the Great library," Leon said. "By the way what happened to the Word you copied?"
"Diappeared," Ariel said. "Can't find."
Leon was surprised first by the fact Ariel understood him, although she was speaking, she wasn't particularly used to it yet. But she now completely understood what he was saying. The next thing that surprised him was the Word had disappeared. Leon closed his eyes and tried to remember what the passage looked like.
"Just like I thought, I can't remember it." He then looked at the three beasts. "Can you guys remember what the passage looked like?"
Ariel thought for a moment and then said "No." The Dragon also said it couldn't. Finally the Butterfly said it couldn't as well.
Leon assumed that all of his beasts wouldn't be able to remember it either. He had the Dragon speed up its flying to the city he was going to visit.
Leon was making his way to Blue Petal city. It was a city big on learning about beast. With the biggest public library on the continent Leon made it his First stop.
After finding about that evolution needed more then just materials for higher beasts Leon wanted to research it more. He had been thinking the a lot of his beasts had stagnated in strength.
The Dragon had stopped growing. It would cultivate but that would barely do anything to it now. Even if it absorbed energy at an insane rate its cultivation would barely change. The abilities it knew also hadn't changed for a while since he wasn't cultivating ice arts.
The Ifrit and Griffin were already of a high grade species making it hard to evolve them. The Ifrit especially, Leon didn't really know what to do With it now. It was already strong for the level it was on. He could only help it with its cultivation. As for evolving it Leon hadn't even thought of it.
As for the Lightning Griffin Leon knew he could evolve it into something like the Black Thunder Griffin or Four-Winged Storm Griffin. However the change in potential would cap at around eight voidstars. In his past he hadn't even evolved it yet it was still an amazing force. Leon had thought that would be enough. But after seeing that Black Beast he knew he wasn't thinking as far in the future as he thought.
"I'll have to figure out a new evolution path for the Griffin." Leon made a mental note.
As for the Evil Chimera, Leon assumed it was a special exception to the knowledge rule. It would evolve by just combining with a new beast. He wasn't to worried about it.
The Storm Spirit Butterfly's evolution into a Life beast was a long and time consuming path. Leon decided that he would let it see the world with the Angel.
Finally there was the Phoenix, it wasn't on the list of evolutions. Phoenix were peak level beasts. You couldn't evolve them further, right?
The Dragon Flew near to the city. Leon jumped of. The Dragon shrunk and wrapped around Leon's neck. The butterfly flew ans sat on Leon's head. It fluttered its wings sending small lightning sparks to show that it was excited.
Leon walked with Ariel and entered the city. The city was true to its name and was covered with Blue Flowers. These flowers were called Soulshade, they didn't normally have any special characteristics other then being extremely beautiful. It was when they turned ten thousand year old they turned into a heavenly material.
Leon walked through the City enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The Butterfly flew off of Leon's head and landed on a flower. It then called Leon to look at it.
Leon walked up to the flower and stared at it. It was much more beautiful then the other flowers.
"Yeah, it's very beautiful." He used his finger to have the Butterfly jump on to it from the flower.
Leon had gotten the Butterfly he turned to his side, and saw a fountain with a child sitting on a bench near it. The child had Aqua marine hair. He looked as hold as Ariel next to him. Be was sitting by himself staring at the fountain.
The boy turned to look around and made eye contact with Leon. He quickly looked away and then slowly turned his and tried to see if Leon was still looking at him through the corner of his eye.
Leon internally laughed and walked towards him. Leon then sat next to him and asked, "What happened? are you lost?"
The boy didn't answer he got off the bench and sat on the vacant bench on the other side of the water fountain.
Leon saw this and was taken back and really didn't know what to do here. When be had seen the boy it reminded him of some one from his past life. Not someone he had known personally but rather someone he wish he knew personally.
The person in his memory was around twenty years old much older then this boy. He was called the King of Luck. The Nickname was given to him after he had awakened a Luck beast as his primal beast. Then various stories of his exploits such as having ten voidstar beast begging to contract him and even finding the treasury of an emperor level cultivator.
Leon asked, "What's your name?" As he walked to the other side of the water fountain. The kid looked at Leon, the blue-green butterfly on his head, The snake around his neck and finally Ariel who was standing next to him.
The boy blushed seeing Ariel and turned away. He then coughed and said, "I'm Eros Goldrose."
Leon nodded, this kid was the future King of Luck, "Hi Eros, I'm Leon Flamesmith and this is Ariel Flamesmith."
"Hello." Ariel greeted Eros.
"So what happened are you waiting for someone?" Leon asked.
Eros thought for a moment and said, "No, I-I was w-watching the water fountain."
Leon looked at the Fountain, it was made from a Water source tree. The tree had blue leaves and glowing cupped flowers that had water fall out. It was nice to look at but nothing to just sit and watch.
"So you aren't lost?" Leon asked.
"No, why would I be lost?" Eros said nervously. He looked at the uninterested Ariel and then back to Leon.
Leon could tell Eros was lying. Seeing his expression he understood what was happening.
"How about this, I'm going to the Blue Petal Library. Why don't you come with me?"
Eros looked at Leon strangely. Leon was well dressed and gave of a strong aura. He was most likely not going for the first floor of the library open to everyone. Eros normally didn't have anything to do at this time and would just sit on this bench watching the Water Source tree. So he was free. He looked at Ariel and they made eye contact. His heart started racing looking into those deep red diamond like eyes.
"Sure, I'll come with you." Eros said looking to the side.
"Let's go, Have you been to the top floor of the Blue Petal Library before?" Leon nodded and said as he walked towards the Library.
"No, I've just been to the first floor." Eros answered.
"This will be something new then, You might see something life changing soon."
