Prologue

I opened my eyes and blinked a few times. I sense unfamiliarity, but I still cannot think straight about this feeling that makes me so uneasy. 

Who I am? Where am I? After the moment had passed, I got up from the bed and saw everything in a daze. I was in a single bed that was made from wood and a thin mattress. 

The smells of burning wood lingering and I saw a fireplace in the room. There are no memories in my head. 

I shake my head as hard as I can and hope that things will get back in place. And then I saw a piece of paper that crumbled at my hand.
 
“Dear Vierra, as you wish I erased your memory from your old life and granted you the cooking skills that will help you in this new world. And let the memory of your recipe from passed life remain. I Hope your new life will give you a better life. From me who cannot be named.”

I let out a heavy sigh. Is this some lame joke? There is a sling bag under the tiny table beside the bed. I found a diary with a name written in front of it.

World of Lost and Found

I was sweeping the fallen leaves in the front yard of the Inn. It has been three days since I started working and live at the Laughing Cloud Inn.


I asked Sir Boru and Madame Anne to let me stay and work here until I know what I should do with my life.


Everything is new in my eyes and my mind is still processing about all this unknown world. Madame Anne and Sir Boru are so happy to have me here.


Since there are only two of them running the inn, a helping hand is welcomed by them.


"V… It is hot outside. Come in for a while and have a drink" Madam Anne smiled and her hand waved gently at me. She looked so tiny in those big windows.


I walk into the main door that is triple the height of my height. It is quite heavy for me to pull the door every time I need to go out and get in the inn.


Sir Boru let the door open in the daylight for me as he worried that I might hurt myself if I used my small body against a big door . I'm overwhelmed by their kindness.


"whereas sir boru, i didn't seen him this morning"


"he go to his friends house and collect some food"


I felt speechless as I wondered if there could be any village around. As far as my eyes can see, there is no house or building around this inn.


It is a wide empty field that is surrounded by mountains and dark forest. It is like this inn was in the middle of a soccer field that has no ends.


"Do you wanna know what world you are living in?"


In the middle of having a war of thought in my head, Madam Anne seems flustered by the look in my face.


"Well this is your first time going out from your hometown and no one have told you anything right?"


I just nodded at Madame Anne's words. It is true that I am still clueless about this world.


"There were five Big Powerful Empires in this World Of Lost and Found, Ouranos Kingdom and Lagoon City which is Human base Kingdom… The Dranthia Empire has mixed races and creatures. Demon territory and Beastland.."


I was speechless again. Since I don't have any memories regarding my past life, I wonder if all the creatures were either new or familiar with me.


"This inn, or this land precisely was in the middle of Wolaf. In other words, to get through to another land, they need to passed this land."


"Wolaf? Is it for World Of Lost And Found? "


Madam Anne smile gently at my question and nodded.


"They will come here to take a rest or fill their pack for foods and necessity"


Just as Madame Anne finished her words, there was a knocking sound at the counter.


"Hello there… Is there any room tonight? I need 2 rooms for 4 people please."


"Pardon me gentleman for not noticing you. We got plenty of empty room."


Madame Anne walks gracefully even as she speeds up her pace.


I look outside the window, there are 2 women and a man standing in front of the door. With no horse or carriage, it seems there is walking in this journey.


I wonder which empire there are from and heading too.


I passed by the counter, gave a nod to the man that will be our guest tonight and smiled at Madam Anne and told her I will be at the kitchen.
