Hello, Little Rabbit! (2)

"Hello, who's speaking? I'm sorry, but Mr. Charlie is not available right now," she said provocatively. Well, her words were not, but the way she spoke, yes. She was provoking the woman, conveying the message that she knew who Charlie was. What she would make of it, would depend on her ability to come up with an excuse or maybe denial?

Camellia cheered in her heart. Let say this would be a perfect gift for the man who disturbed her slumber last night.

"Who are you? Who's Charlie?"

Hearing the woman's successive questions, both Camellia and Lenny looked at each other. They were shocked that the woman actually asked who Charlie was.

"Well, Charlie is this phone owner," Camellia calmly answered.

"We switched phone yesterday," she continued while looking at Lenny who now and then had her eyes widened in amusement.

'Good job!' Lenny whispered with both her thumb ups in the air. Camellia winked at her admitting to the compliment given.

There was another silence afterward. The moment they thought the 'Little Rabbit' had given up, a different scale of irritating voice was yelling at them. Her earlier seduction had turned into an eerie voice that if it was any other woman, they might have been regretting their action to pretend to know Charlie.

"B*tch, whoever you are. Do you think I don't know what your intention is? You must have been one of the clinging women seducing my man. Exchanging phone? Making up nickname? Heh, how delusional! He was under my charm, there's no way he would be interested in another woman! Now, once I find out who you are, you'll regret trying to even touch his belonging. You wait!"

The woman seemed to have lost all sense of rationality. She had marked Charlie as her possession and clearly anyone who touched his belonging would meet her wrath!

Both Camellia and Lenny once again looked at each other but this time around, their faces were surprised at the woman's comeback.

'Psycho!' Lenny whispered followed by her shivering body to show how the woman had affected her.

"Afraid to answer now huh? Sl*t!" another foul word came through.

Camellia sigh at the woman's improper speech.

"Miss, I haven't finished explaining. I accidentally switched phone with the phone's owner and definitely not deserving the non-educational words you've been using,"

Lenny who sat besides Camellia wondered at the polite yet sarcastic reply her best friend had given to the woman on the other side of the phone. However, the moment she saw her face, she instantly knew that someone's going to be roasted.

"Nonsense! Keep your nonsense! You stole my man's phone!" the woman was screaming like crazy, and non-stop accusing Camellia to steal the phone.

"Hmm, If you insist. Btw, this phone call is actually recorded. Any moment now, I'll meet Charlie to return the phone back to him. I'll make sure to share this recording with him and see what he thought of his beloved Little Rabbit,"

'Brilliant!' Lenny couldn't stop but cheered at how Camellia talked with the woman. Her eyes executed admiration and like a puppy, she stared at her with adoring eyes.

"What did you say...you, hello-"

Panicked. That's what they could comprehend from the woman's voice earlier before Camellia tapped on the end call icon.

"Hehe, how satisfying. But, you should have roasted her further," Lenny complained but at the same time tried to imagine her trading place with Camellia.

If it was her, after listening to the woman first threatening words, she would have given up and ended the call.

She wasn't good at battling words against words!

That voice was scary and it carried the vibe that she really was going to do something sinister if she found out who the one made the call or 'seduce her man'.

Lenny shivered at the thought and abruptly stopped her growing imagination. She didn't want to succumb to fear after listening only one phone call.

"Hmm, this will be a good material for Charlie to ponder about," Camellia chuckled at the plan. Lenny could only shake her head. At this time, she felt that Camellia was also a psycho.

"I'm not! I'm just revenging my wasted sleeping time last night!" Camellia groaned as she managed to read what her friend was thinking before it was erased from her mind.

"Stop reading my mind! You creepy woman!" Lenny yelled, she pushed Camellia away from her and pretended to be afraid.

That was when Camellia's gloomy face flashed to her eyes.

"Sorry," she apologized unable to utter any more comforting words. Her heart sank for she knew how much Camellia had gone through because of her ability and how much she wished she wasn't born with one.

Her childhood was proof that this kind of power would only let her suffer.

"Got you!" Camellia pinched Lenny's sad face and giggled away. She knew the feeling she had at the moment and decided to cheer her up.

"You meanie!" Lenny could only sulk at her friend's joke. But, was it really a joke? For sure, in Camellia's heart, there was a scar. One that was still bleeding!

"What now?" Lenny asked. She didn't want to dwell in the sentimental part any further for she understood Camellia's temper. She didn't want anyone to worry about her. Not even her best friend!

"My twin is calling,"

"What?" Lenny frowned for she didn't understand until Camellia showed her number being displayed on Charlie's phone screen. In that instant, her eyes once again switched to puppy mood urging Camellia to answer the call.

"Mr. Charlie, I've been waiting," Camellia was the first one to speak.

"Miss Camelia, last night was fun," she noticed the sarcasm in that sentence.

"Indeed Mr. Charlie, now, how about we end this and meet up? I really need my phone back and so is you," she replied not humoring his idea to discuss of last night event. Besides, she had something that could 'impress' him. Even if it was probably towards the negative side.

"Sure, let's exchanged our phone over dinner,"

'What!' Camellia was surprised. She stared at Lenny who was also listening to their conversation.

'His voice is sexy,' Lenny whispered as her dreamy eyes were staring at the phone, trying to envision the face of Charlie.

"Mr. Charlie, that wasn't the promise. I said we meet now at the airport and exchange our phones. Quick and convenience!" Camellia was feeling hopeless when she saw Lenny was drooling over Charlie's voice. She could only shake her head.

"Convenience for you Miss Camellia, but I have a meeting to attend to and will only be available at eight o'clock in the evening," Charlie stated his reason which somehow to Camellia sounded like he was making it up.

As she was about to reply, Lenny quickly interrupted.

"Mr. Charlie, where's the meeting point?" she asked, excitedly.

There was a long silence before the man responded.

"You must be Lenny, the best friend?"

"I am. How did you know?" Lenny was surprised. On the other hand, , Camellia was already wearing her killer look. This man had gone so far as to check her personal contact!

"Miss Camellia, I didn't check any further after that day. In fact, I knew it from outside resource," A frown as deep as the ocean was plastered on Camellia's face. Outside resource? this man really knew how to make her angry.

Who knew if he was speaking the truth. Even if he did, why the need to ask information about her? Was he a stalker? He must be!

Camellia sneered. Today, he really made her wanted to smash his face to nothingness.

"So, ladies, let's meet at Cameron Restaurant at 8 PM. Just tell my name once you're there. Bye!"

"Wait-" Camellia felt like smashing the phone too after Charlie blatantly ended the phone call. The way he suggested and made the decision on their behalf made her angry. This was the first time someone actually got into her nerve without her able to refute.

"Well, this Charlie seems to be an interesting person. I bet he is as handsome as a prince! Camellia, who knows if this is your prince charming. Ahh!"

Lenny felt a painful pinch on both her cheek. She stared at the offended look on Camellia's face.

"What?" she cried.

"Nothing!" Camellia snorted not sparing another look to Lenny.

"Hehe, I know, you're shy!"

Camellia growled after listening to Lenny's theory. After a while, she sighed for there was nothing else she could do. At least, she would get her phone back at 8 PM. Looking at the time now, there was ample time for her to cook up revenge for that man.

Her eyes sparkled as she thought of the best way to get back to him.
