*SPLASH*

Cold water hit Prometheus' face, slowly waking him up. 'Where am I,' he thought. He looked around confused, his vision blurred and head hurting. He slowly came back to reality, as he started noticing the area around him. It was a bedroom, a bed, desk, and closet were all to the right of the room. On the other side there was a dresser and what Prometheus thought to be a poster of something at first. However it began to become clear that it was a map of sorts, other than that there wasn't much else in the room.

"Are you awake," a man said appearing before Prometheus.

'How have I not seen him,' he thought attempting to move his hands, they were tied together with a thin rope along with his feet.

"I'm guessing you are awake," the man walked to his desk and sat at a chair that was at the desk.

Prometheus stopped his struggle of trying to get loose, he stared at the man with intensity.

"I'm sorry for not giving you the formality of a guest, but make yourself at home," the man said turning the chair and himself around to face the desk, he reached for something at his feet, "I'm also sorry, but I had to destroy your phone," he said turning back around to face Prometheus.

Prometheus took his eyes off the man and onto his now destroyed phone. Smashed to bits. His eyes began to tear up, but he held it back. "All of what I went through. To get that phone, and now it's destroyed. It wasn't worth it... It was far from being worth it."

The man had a solemn expression, "I'm sorry. You kids shouldn't have even thought of sneaking in like that."

"It was going to be fine! We got the phone! We hacked our way in! It's," Prometheus stopped, he felt tears come down the side of his face. He had no way of wiping it or hiding it from the man.

"The government's fault? That's what you were going to say, right," the man said with anger in his sympathetic words.

"They released gas. There was nothing we could do, they got Moroccos first, then Clem-"

"Listen to me. I know what you're going through, you're hurt. Everyone was hurt by the government's greed at some point in their life."

"What do you mean by that?"

The man got up, he went over to his bedroom door, closing it, then sat back down. As he got up, Prometheus noticed a laptop on his desk, it was open, there was a microphone icon on the screen and his webcam light was green. It indicated that he was either recording or video calling someone. When the man sat back down, he blocked the laptop.

"Tell me, how much of our history do you know? How much of society do you know?"

"Well, I know that-"

"Wrong! You don't know a single thing."

Prometheus, annoyed, responded, "Tell me then, what don't I know. What the hell is this system, why does it reward you with so much XP when you kill someone."

The man became silent, he was thinking, 'Should I really drag a young man like this into this kind of work.'

"If I tell you," he finally said, "then I would have to kill you."

'What a bullshit line, did he take that from a movie,' Prometheus thought as he stared at the man who had a completely serious look. It scared him, scared him enough to dismiss his previous thought.

"But, I won't have to kill you if you agree on joining me."

"Joining you? What am I joining exactly?"

"The revolution."

"Revolution?"

"Yes. The revolution. We're going to revolt against our oppressors. The government hides us away from our own potential. They hide it away from us, then abuse it behind the shadows. Do you really think that killing being an automatic death sentence is a law made to keep our society clean? To make sure that no one else kills? No. It's a cover up. It's a worldwide law that the King of Kings passed."

The man rose, turning around and opening his desk, he pulled out files of paper, then walked up to Prometheus with them in hand. "Time and time again. The government hides the fact that killing others gives XP. The moment someone is caught killing, the government moves in to apprehend them. Houses raided."

The man opens a file, showing a photo of a house raid to Prometheus, the house was surrounded by soldiers similar to the ones who tried to apprehend him.

"You were lucky that you encountered that doctor. He's a bit crazy, but any other noble would have had you dead on the spot. Those nobles are greedy, but at least he wasn't."

'Noble? Prometheus thought. A noble is a direct ruler of an area that the king of the country appoints.'

"He was a noble," Prometheus asks in disbelief.

"Yes, he was. Did he introduce himself as just a regular scientist? Whatever it doesn't matter. Back to what really matters. Look here," the man had a different file up, he held a photo of a line of men, women and children. "Where do you think they are going?"

Prometheus shrugged his shoulders. "To the farm. All these people were killers, they had gained XP for killing someone. the government is gathering them all up to kill them for XP. Since you are able to get more XP the higher the level someone is." The man looked at Prometheus with intensity. "Well now, did that make your heart grow with anger?"

'Not really,' Prometheus thought, 'He sounds like one of those conspiracy theorists on the internet. I can understand why all those people thought I was insane with my ideals when I was on the forums.'

"What does your group even do, what exactly are we revolting against?"

"I'm not understanding your question."

Prometheus cleared his voice, "How are we going to revolt against the government?"

"I can't tell you unless you agree to joining us, but were going to take down the government. Expose the secrets they've kept from the public, then crown our leader King of Kings.

"There's a King of Kings?"

The man brings his fingers to Prometheus' lips, shushing him. "Do you want to join?"

Prometheus contemplated, 'If I join will I lose connection with my family? This is an ambitious goal. The whole government, just a noble didn't even hesitate to kill teens.'

Prometheus' anger returned, 'They wouldn't hesitate with killing rebels.'

'I want to say no,' Prometheus thought, 'I can't do something like this. I could die at anytime. Then why.'

"Yes, I'll join you," Prometheus' eyes glowed with fire and doubt.

'Why did I say yes?'
