"Please Ruoxi, things only blow up in the movies."

Ruoxi's anger calmed down slightly at this stupid sentence that made sense, and after a few minutes of hesitation, she called people to clean up the mess. After she was done with the call, Ruoxi proceeded to glare at Chu Ye again, he seemed unaffected though, as he had on an innocent smile.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I brought you lunch." Saying that, he placed a brown paper bag on her desk.

Ruoxi looked without interest at the bag as she moved it further away from her,

"Not hungry." She then turned her head towards the screen of the computer and continued to work. Chu Ye just shrugged as he sat in the chair across from her desk, he opened the bag and slowly brought out a plastic container, opening the lid, a heavenly fragrance wafted out and Ruoxi couldn't help but turn her head back. She saw then the tastiest looking glutinous meatballs she had ever seen. The scent of the sauce had her mouth salivating, Chu Ye smiled at her almost drooling face, he took a pair of chopsticks and slowly brought a meatball to his mouth as he deliberately chewed as slow as he could.

"Mmmh, this is good."

*gulp*

He reached for another one when suddenly the container was swiped from under his chopsticks.

"Ruoxi what are you doing?" Chu Ye asked helplessly.

"This is mine."

She closed the lid and turned her head towards the screen once again as she typed away.

"I thought you weren't hungry?"

"I'll get hungry later."

Chu Ye could only marvel at how unreasonable a woman could become when it comes to food. He, in fact, wasn't hungry, but Ruoxi was stubborn, and the only way he could think of to get her to eat was to devour her favorite dish in front of her, well mission accomplished, he thought. Now that he had nothing to do, he stared at Ruoxi for a bit, they say men look more attractive when they're working, but he could tell for a fact that the statement applied to Ruoxi as well, he found her focus captivating, especially the way her eyebrows scrunched up when she pondered something difficult, he often imagined a kiss between them to straighten them out, but knew better that what would await him would probably be a look of disgust and thoughts of divorce, not that she didn't have any now, Chu Ye thought deprecatingly.

"What are you looking at?"

His thoughts were interrupted by Ruoxi's cold voice, he had been staring too long. He could see the frown there again, this time directed at him, another difficult problem.

"Last night a bird chased me, and I wished it was you."

"..."

"You're supposed to ask if we could go on a date."

"No."

Chu Ye just marveled at the girl's lack of knowledge, now some might argue that lines from movies that weren't even that funny might be useless, but hey, the look of disgust on Ruoxi's face says differently.

"Don't you have something else to do?" Asked Ruoxi, who finally couldn't stand Chu Ye's staring anymore.

"Yes, but it involves you and m-"

"No."

"Then I've got nothing."

"What about your bar?"

"I never do anything there, Li'er handles everything...Don't look at me like I'm no use to society."

Ruoxi just continued to give him the stinkeye.

"What are you working on?" Obviously feeling slightly uncomfortable at her look Chu Ye changed the topic as he went around to her side of the desk. Ruoxi could smell his scent as he leaned over her shoulder to look at the computer screen, a mix of tobacco and lemon, must be the soap he uses, she thought. It wasn't unpleasant, in fact, the close contact, mixed with his smell had her head running wild as she thought of the kiss they shared the first time they met.

'If he kisses me now...No no no, what am I thinking.'

She tentatively touched his shoulder as she pushed him to the side.

"Not so close."

Chu Ye just rolled his eyes, I'm not gonna give you cooties, he thought. Staring at the screen he noticed that it contained a business report or a half-finished one at least, he looked at the documents on the side and finally realized what she was doing, the documents were all in french, apparently, she was translating, and doing a bad job at that.

"This is wrong, it should be (I) not (You)."

"You can read these?" Ruoxi asked, slightly surprised, though she didn't show it on her face.

"Yeah, I mean, It's just French."

Ruoxi had the urge to punch the condescending look off of his face, her translator had suddenly called in sick, she had been struggling for hours already now trying to translate these documents with what little french she knew, which was not a lot, and this bastard had the gall to say "It's just French." luckily she had excellent self-control. She suddenly had a great idea, she took out a laptop from the desk drawer and placed it in front of him.

"Then make yourself useful and translate this for me." It was the best solution, he would be busy, which would ease his boredom, and she would have time to focus on other work.

"Since when have I worked for you?" Chu Ye asked with a raised brow. Ruoxi flinched, she had unintentionally treated him as one of her employees, she racked her brain as she searched for a suitable response to his question, she didn't need to though, as Chu Ye suddenly said something.

"I'll do it on one condition,"

She looked up at him.

"What?"

"You go on a date with me."

"I refuse." She turned her head back, apparently, she would rather do the work herself.

"Ok then, you leave me no choice." Chu Ye said, as he went for the door.

"Where are you going?" Though she knew it was a trap, she couldn't help but ask.

"I wonder what your employees would think if they knew that their cold and majestic boss reads some rather raunchy books."

"What do you mean?" Ruoxi suddenly had a bad feeling.

"50 shades of Ruoxi's naughtiness," Chu Ye said, with a crafty smirk on his face. "I even have a photo."

He showed her his phone, she could see what appears to be a selfie with Chu Ye holding a book in his hand, a bright smile on his face, the setting was her room.

And her feeling was spot on, she felt all the blood rush towards her head, half anger, and half shame as she stood up and shouted.

"You went into my room!"

"If you wanted me to stay out of it then you should've locked it." He said simply.

"You!"

"I what?"

Her breath was coming in short as she thought of ways to delete that photo, coming up with no quick solution, she could only agree to his request albeit unwillingly.

"...Fine."

"Fine what?"

She grit her teeth so hard that it started making some rather unpleasant sounds.

"I agree to go on a date with you."

Chu Ye put on a satisfied smile on his face as he sat down again and started working.

"Now was that so hard."

She really wanted to bite him again.
