Time travelling from the majestic era after the Recuperation of Reiki, he became Kimura Kazuki, a 16-year-old high school student in Japan, one year before the Reiki Recuperation.

Tentatively, he set out to hone himself to the bone, burning candles at both ends to stockpile resources in preparation for the imminent Recuperation of Reiki. His goal was to be many steps ahead of all humanity when the time comes.

However, it seemed like fate had decided to play a cruel trick on him.

Otome Sakagami was surprised upon seeing that. What astounded her was the fact that even though Sakanoue no Tamuramaro had become a shikigami, his strength was so much greater than when he was a general.

It could even be said that the two strengths were incomparable. After all, Sakanoue no Tamuramaro was just an ordinary person when he was still alive. Since he started cultivating after his death, his strengths could no longer be compared to before.

However, Sakanoue no Tamuramaro's death after just one round was unexpected to her. This caused her face to tense up. It seemed like she had to obtain Kimura Kazuki's blood or else she would not be able to cross over that night.

Even though Otome Sakagami was able to control living creatures' blood, there was a drawback for her ability. She still had to have a taste of the blood of the person whom she wanted to control. She had to do so if she were to want to take control of that person without complications.
