Deok-Su

I am Paik Deok-Su. I am Korean...well maybe ninety percent. My father is Korean and my mother is half Korean and white. I don't know what that makes me but I know I look more Korean than my older brother. He helps my father run a hotel that has started to get much recognition from all over the world. But besides that, our family isn't normal...how do I say this....we are Vampires. If you don't think Vampires exist then what do you have to say about Superman? He's an alien from freaking outer space! How about the Teen titans? Raven is a demon and Beast boy sure ain't human, as well as Star Fire, she is also an alien.

But unlike other non-human superhero's, my kind stays hidden just so we can survive in the human world. We are not just going to be accepted that easily. We need to feed for blood. Whether it be animals or humans, I know that humans will find ways to get rid of us.

We aren't like what humans would describe us. We aren't like vampires in Twilight. We do not sparkle in the sunlight nor do we need rain. The sun does not burn us as we use this special cream to protect us from the sun. If you are half-human well you are lucky because the sun doesn't bother you. If you are a pure vampire then you will be needing that sunscreen.

But we do have superhuman strength, super speed as fast as light travels, flying, shape-shifting (like into a bat or disperse into elemental vapors to allow us to slip through doors slit and narrow cracks, which also explain how they often disappear quickly once you blink your eyes), and about six more? But not every vampire is good at everything. They tend to try to live normally like humans.

I on the other hand like to use my powers. My family doesn't approve of me using my powers in public or at daylight. They only allow us to drink blood from the animal, which I like the taste of but I also want to taste human. I heard that they have great blood taste.

I walked to school with Ra, my best friend. He was like a thousand years older than me? He's from Egypt. How we become friends? Ha, that's a story to be told at some other time.

"What are you doing tonight?" Ra asked me while I was writing my notes down to study later.

"I'm probably going to be stuck at home studying," I reply without looking at him.

"Oh, that's lame."

"Ra focus on the teacher please." I look up to see the teacher writing some more notes.

After class ended Ra came up to me and smiled widely. "Let's go out tonight!"

"Didn't I tell you that In-"

"No excuses. You and I are going to have fun tonight." He cut me off and then smiled sweetly to him. I coul not deny how cute he looked. Ra is definitely a good looking Egyptian boy. I chuckled and agreed.

He immediately burst into excitement. We walked out of class together and he began to ramble. "Dude are we going to Vincent party?" I ask suddenly remembering that tonight was the party.

"Duh." Ra suddenly got a call. "Yep, he's with me."

He handed the phone over to me.

I suddenly heard a loud voice call my name. It was from Vincent. "I hope you come. No ditching out because if you do I will come for you." He threatened.

"Ha, I can drain your blood out your whole body before you even attack me, wolf boy." I snicker.

"You wouldn't dare."

"Oh, I would."

"How can you say that me! I'm your best friend!"

"Pft, so is Ra."

"He is mines too! I seriously need you at this party bro. Lana will be there." His voice had desperation in it.

"Fine," I reply and tossed Ra's phone back to him.

"So Lana?" Ra opened his mouth.

"I'm not going to date her," I growl.

"Come on man! Didn't you use to like her?" Ra asked.

"Used to. Now I don't, I just want to be friends with her." I correct.

We stood in front of me and touched my chest where my heart was. "Such a cold heart."

"I do not have a cold heart! I have a warm heart full of love for everyone." I smile at him warmly.

He looks at me with admiration. "Wow, I almost believed you for a second."

"Why you!" I grabbed his hair. He pulled on my shirt ready to rip it apart.

We both started to fight each other playfully. "When will you two ever stop?" We heard Lana voice.

Lana was purely human and of course, she didn't know about our secret. "Um...loving each other." We both said in unison.

She giggled. "Make sure you come to the party tonight boys. I'm bringing something that will make you want to stay up all night partying."

"Drugs?" Ra asked confused.

"Come tonight to find out." She said before walking off.

"We don't do drugs." I reminded Ra.

"I know and I'm scared of what will happen tonight."

"Who knows. Maybe I can find some tasty-" Ra smacked my head before I could even finish my sentence.
