Across various cities, many people were staring at their Holo-Screens. For some, it was curiosity that drew them, for others it was fear, an odd bunch here or there were full of excitement, and some were full of hate. The list goes on.
They watched as a satellite aired live footage of a trio of fighters bombing a city. Even though some of them once lived in the city, they felt a sense of relief when they saw this. Their minds were now at ease upon knowing that the mysterious monster would not survive.
When the first fighter had nearly half a wing torn off by seemingly dumb luck they felt no small amount of fear.
None of them noticed the tentacle creeping up to the downed fighter. All but one that is. She remembered its terror. She had seen it with her own eyes and survived. She watched as the tentacles formed a complex net around the blob. Even though it got relatively boring just watching the fighters shooting an opponent that had stopped fighting back, no one dared to look away.
As the girl watched the fighters get ripped apart, she felt something tugging at the back of her mind. Moments later she found herself surrounded by blackness.
'Is this...Is this the mind space?' She thought.
'Hello? Are you there?' She thought at the blackness.
She felt something cold and sharp rip into her. The blackness seemed to grow darker. She felt a searing pain wash through her again and again as if they were ocean waves.
As quickly as it started it was over and she saw the blob on the screen again.
Had anyone been looking at her they would have found a rather disorientated girl struggling to not fall over.
To suddenly be pulled into the mind space by force, and then forcefully ejected is not healthy for any person's mind.
After some time the girl managed to stand and slowly leave the café she had been in.
Out the door and down the road she went. A few streets later and she reached a tall apartment complex. With unsteady steps she went up three flights of stairs and down a hallway before sliding a door open.
