My Xiu Ying

Yang Jia swiftly passed by a guard that was standing at the back door and managed to enter inside the hospital.

Her eyes eyes widened when she saw the inside of the hospital. 'This definitely does not look like a hospital'

Different types of strange scents wafted to her nose which caused her to be a little bit dizzy. The feeling was faint, but it was still there.

Yang Jia immediately grabbed a handkerchief from her back pocket and covered her nose. She relaxed when she smelled the familiar scent that she was missing.

Days before Liang Guozhi left, Yang Jia created a handkerchief because during the time she was ignoring him, she started to crave for his presence, but she was too embarrassed to approach him. One day when Liang Guozhi left to work, she sneaked into his room and used his mainly cologne and made a scented rose shaped sticker used with his cologne and attached it to the handkerchief.

The handkerchief was made with a soft material but it forced chemicals to not come through it like a mask that the doctors use. (Or the ones that we use on daily basis)

Yang Jia's dizziness eased as she smelled his scent.

She looked around and her eyes widened as she saw many kinds of weeds and drugs stored in shelves.

The door clicked open and Yang Jia jumped behind one of the big boxes to hide herself.

Footsteps could be heard entering the room.

"Hey, it has to be here. This is the last place to search" Thug number one said.

"Look around quickly, the Young Master said to inject that old lady with it" Thug number two said as he quickly went to search inside the boxes.

Yang Jia frowned 'Inject her? Inject with what? Are they talking about Tang Xiu Ying's mother?' She quickly turned on her phone recorder to record everything and placed it back at her pocket.

"Today is the last day for that old woman. What a disappointment, she was the best subject in the entire lab"

'Subject? This is not a hospital, but a lab?' So many questions were running in her head.

"She lived long only because she was immune to it. I don't know what that lady did, but her immune system rejected that drug. It only caused her to fall in a coma" Thug number one said as he kept searching.

"Yeah, we always tried to find what was inside her that prevented her from going mad" Thug number two said as he looked at a large box that he still hadn't opened.

"Hey it may be here, come let's look" He said as he gestured Thug number one to help him find it.

Yang Jia heard footsteps coming near the area she was hiding.

Thug number two leaned over the box

"Hey...!" He angrily screamed as he saw Yang Jia, but before he could finish his sentence. He felt a slim hand tap his neck. His eyes instantly closed and fell into the ground. Before the other thug could react a leg came flying his way knocking him to the floor unconscious.

Yang Jia kept the handkerchief on her mouth as she got out of the room and gently closed it and locked it. She looked left and right the hallways when she heard wheels moving on the floor along with footsteps coming from the left side.

She quietly jogged to the right and entered a dark room and closed the door. She turned on the lights, but the scene before her made her heart drop.

There were rows of beds with elderly, children, and even infants lying lifelessly. Some didn't even look like a human being anymore.

Tears ran down her eyes as she saw many people laying there agaisnt their will.

'Why?'

'Why? sob so many innocent people...sob Who could've done this. Why are there cruel people in this world.'

She noticed that the wavelengths on the computer that showed that if one person was alive were not moving. Each and every single one was at a straight line. Which meant that all of this people have died except for one.

Straight in the far end of the room there was a curtain. She walked towards it and grabbed the curtain. She took a deep breath before she opened the curtain.

What she saw was a middle aged lady laying on the bed. The computer showed that her pulse was still beating.

This lady had similar features as Tang Xiu Ying. She looked perfectly normal, but her skin was a slight pale.

Yang Jia turned on the walkie talkie and spoke softly "Bring more men. This building is not what it looks like. It is much worse. Please come quietly without alerting the ones that are inside the hospital"

"What did you saw?" Officer Qin asked.

"You should see it for yourself because I would not be able to explain it" She said as her voice quivered.

"Roger, be careful" He said worriedly.

...

'Stop thinking about it Jia. All of those who were involved in this will pay' She tried to keep her mind from wandering back to the scene she just saw, but she couldn't help but feel sad for the people who had to suffer in this h*ll hole.

She took another deep breath and analyzed how she was going to get Tang Xiu Ying's mother out of this place when she was unconscious. The only option was to wait for this place to be ambushed by the police.

"Young lady" A voice of a lady was heard.

Yang Jia flinched and looked towards the bed. Her eyes widened when she saw something she didn't expect to see.

The lady, Mu Huiling, had her eyes opened and was looking directly at her eyes.

"Who are you?" She asked. Her voice was a little raspy because she hadn't spoken in a long while.

Yang Jia stepped closer to her and noticed her flinch.

"Aunty, I'm your daughter's friend Yang Jia. Remember Tang Xiu Ying? she's waiting for you and I came here to bring you back" She said as she took hold of her cold and pale hand.

Mu Huiling was astonished. This whole entire time she had to pretend that she was in coma in order to protect her precious daughter.

Almost everyday she was poked by needles and was injected by something she still didn't have knowledge of. Thankfully the immunity drug that she created helped her destroy those drugs and helped her grow an even stronger immune system.

Everyday and every night the only thing she thought of was her daughter. The image that stayed imprinted on her mind as she kept her eyes closed for years was her little girl.

"My Xiu Ying"
